If you like it then you should've put a mask on it: My mask and exfoliator routine

Habt ihr Rituale? Feste Beauty-Routinen?

Do you have any kind of habit? Something beauty related you like to do from time to time? Ich have a couple of these habits, for example my mask routine. Once a week I like to put on a mask and use a scrub to refresh my skin depending on my face's current needs. I have a couple of things on rotation and since I declared my love for travel sized beauty, naturally I also have masks and scrubs in mini versions. A girl gotta have options.

Starting with masks and my actual favorite of the bunch: The Sephora Rose mask. It is a sheet mask that is so so hydrating. I like to use this when my face looks tired and when I'm a bit hungover, because it gives me back the glow that one too many glasses of wine like to take away. The Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber Gel Mask is refreshing and is supposed to detoxify the skin. I use this one after a scrub and when my skin needs a little pick me up.
The occurrence of dry patches is tackled with dermalogica's skin hydrating masque. It makes sure that my face gets the moisture it desperately longs for. Especially during that annoying time of the month, yes I'm talking period, at least one zit likes to pop up on my chin or forehead. This calls for something that is purifying and helps to get the zit out of the way. A trusted partner in crime is the Masque Argile with Aloe Vera by Cattier. Actually it is not targeted at problem skin, but it helps with clearing up my face perfectly. New to my routine is the boscia Luminizing Black Mask. This stuff is black magic, literally, and does a great job in pulling out impurities. I mean, you can actually see the dirt and dead skin cells on it once you succeed in pulling it off, its pretty heavy duty. Also new to me is the Cilantro & Orange Extract Pollutant Defending Masque by Kiehl's. I'm not sure how I feel about this and I can't really tell if it works. My skin feels a tad smoother after usage, but that's it. Maybe I just have to give it another shot.

Let's move on with my little exfoliator collection. My favorite scrub is by Hildegard Braukmann. It is gentle but effective and so inexpensive. This is a staple I always have in my shower. The Origins GinZing refreshing scrub cleanser is good for a quick  and not to deep exfoliating session. I had about three of these mini sized tubes, because they are great for traveling. When I'm in desperate need of some serious deep cleaning I reach for dr. brand's PoreDermabrasion, because this stuff makes no jokes. Sensitive skins should beware of the it's power, it might be irritating. If not, let it work it's magic. The last one joined the squad just recently. Noxidoxi is brand-new to me and after I figured out the French description on the back I gave the Mask&Peel Perfection Éclat a try. I can report that it is a solid exfoliator, but compared to dr. brand's scrub, this one does not succeed in making me feel as if my skin is indeed perfected. Maybe I should use it as a mask instead.
