Ich möchte hier gar keine großen Worte verlieren, nur kurz erklären, warum ich vor einiger Zeit dezent ausgerastet bin. Mein Cousin aus NYC hat uns neulich besucht und sich bereit erklärt, mir ein paar Dinge mitzubringen. Meine einzige Aufgabe bestand darin, meinen Warenkorb bei Sephora zu füllen und das gute Zeug zu ihm schicken zu lassen. Ein Knochenjob. Ich möchte bitte trotzdem nicht bemitleidet werden. 

Natürlich habe ich nur Dinge bestellt, die es bei uns nicht gibt und die Sephora teilweise nicht nach Deutschland verschickt. So wie die Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask, die es ja bereits zu sehen gab. 

Wie ich schon öfter erwähnt habe, bin ich besessen von Minis. Ich liebe Reisegrößen. Ich weiß nicht, ob es eine Art Mutterinstinkt in mir weckt, aber sobald es Beautystuff in samplesize gibt, bin ich an Bord. Nein, ich steure dieses Schiff sogar als Kapitän. Kein Wunder also, dass mir das Sephora Favorites Give Me Some Lip Set nur so ins Auge sprang: Fünf Minis und ein Fullsize Lippenstift. Oh yes, komm zu Mama. Wenn man die Teile dann noch in einer lippenförmigen Schachtel verpackt, gibt es kein Halten mehr. Deckel runter und begutachten: Enthalten ist ein Mini Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment in Rose. Ich muss meine Liebe für die Fresh Sugar Treatments nicht nochmal ausschweifend behandeln, oder? Oder doch? Naaaah, hier wurde bereits alles gesagt. Dann hätten wir noch einen Mini Marc Jacobs Le Marc Lip Créme in Je T'aime. An dieser Stelle habe ich die Lip Créme bereits reviewed und auch wenn die Farbe genau in mein Beuteschema passt, für meine trockenen Lippen muss vor dem Tragen eine Schicht lip balm drunter. Von Make Up For Ever gab es einen Artist Plexi-Gloss in 202 und holy shit, ist der klebrig. Ich habe leider eine sehr schwach ausgeprägte 'klebriger Lipgloss-Grenze' und die ist hier ganz klar erreicht. Es wäre natürlich kein Sephora Favorites kit, wenn Sephora nicht auch ein Produkt der Eigenmarke untermischen würde. Auf das/die? the (ah, so geht's) Rouge Infusion Lip Ink in 16 Peony war ich mal so gar nicht gespannt. Gähn, laaaaangweilig. Und siehe da, im Leben kommt erstens immer alles anders und zweitens als man denkt. Mega gute Konsistenz, tolle Farbe und den stain musste ich nach dem swatchen auf meiner Hand mit Nagellackentferner bearbeiten. Wenn ich ihn auftrage, er über nacht langsam verblasst, und meine  Lippen morgens immer noch leicht rosa sind, kann ich ohne schlechtes Gewissen ein Foto mit dem hashtag #iwokeuplikethis posten. Der enthaltene Full Size Lippenstift ist ein Amazonian Butter Lipsick von Tarte in der Farbe Coral Blossom= hello neue Frühlingsfarbe. Die Verpackung ist zum dahinschmelzen, wenn auch ultra unpraktisch, weil bunter Karton. Echt jetzt. Nun aber zur größten Enttäuschung: Der Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lolita von Kat von D. Was wurde diese Farbe gehyped, der Bestand leer geplündert und auch ich wollte ihn schon zig mal bestellen. Die Farbschwankungen, die es offensichtlich aber immer mal wieder gab, konnten mich gerade noch davon abhalten. Gut so. In der jetzigen Form ist Lolita für mich nämlich ein absoluter Fehlgriff. Aufgetragen sehe ich tot aus. Wasserleichenmäßig. Halloweenstyle. Kinderschreck.

Das Set ist mittlerweile nicht mehr erhältlich, die Produkte einzeln natürlich schon. Bis auf den Artist Plexi-Gloss (sorry, Make Up For Ever, ich weiß, dass ihr's besser könnt) und Lolita, kommen alle eine Runde weiter. 

I don't want to talk too much about this right now, but just let me give you a brief introduction into why I jumped up and down the other day and next day and next day. Some time ago my cousin from New York visited us and was kind enough to bring some goodies with him. All I had to do was place all the good stuff in my shopping basket at Sephora.com, make my way to the checkout and  let Thomas bring all of it with him. I mostly focused on beauty stuff that is not available around my parts or Sephora refuses to ship to Germany. The Bite Beauty Agave lip mask was just the beginning my friends. Unfortunately this cute little set isn't available anymore, but you're of course invited to buy the pieces individually. I was lucky enough to get my hands on one of the über popular Sephora Favorites Give Me Some Lip kits and I'm very pleased with what's inside. Six lip products (five deluxe samples and a full size) are packed in a lip shaped box. Come on, lip products in a lip shadped box, that's kinda genius. There we have a Marc Jacobs Le Marc Lip Créme in Je T'aime. Gorgeous shade. If you have a look at  this post, all questions on the formula should be answered. The Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment in Rose is a no brainer, because I loooooove their treatments. Need proof? Here's all you need to know. Because its a Sephora Favorites kit, they obviously had to throw something of their own into the mix. I didn't think much of the Sephora Rouge Infusion Lip Ink in Peony, but it became an instant favorite. Great texture and such a lovely color. See the stain it leaves behind? I had to bring on my nail polish remover to get this off my skin. Beware of the stain, folks. Just leave it on when its bedtime, it will fade while you're asleep and when you wake up in the morning it will still be there and you'll be in full on #iwokeuplikethis mode. I am not a lipgloss girl and unfortunately the Make up For Ever Artist Plexi-Gloss in 202 couldn't change that. I just take no pleasure in sticky lip product formulas. Sorry, Make Up For Ever, I know you can do better. The one full size product in this kit is the Tarte Amazonian Butter Lipstick in Coral Blossom. Pretty summer shade and the packaging is just too cute. But don't get fooled, it looks fancy but it's actually sturdy paper. The one thing I was the most excited about was the Kat von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lolita. I saw every beauty blogger raving about this formulas, literally every beauty blogger on this earth. And Lolita was so hyped and always out of stock that it made me extremely suspicious. What's the fuss all about? Well, now I know. The formula may be great and all, but Lolita looks like Halloween makeup on me. Seriously, I look dead, ghostlike. My neighbor's kid was afraid of me when I wore this on my lips. I think I got one of the Lolita's from the third batch, you know, the one where supposedly everything went wrong. Because really, this color just looks wrong on me. The one time I swatched it on my lips I looked in the mirror and the color was looking at me like "nice try girl, but hell no. Do us both a favor and take this off. Now."

Lange Zeit kein Post. Aber mir ist, wie Adele es sagen würde, das Leben dazwischen gekommen. Zwischen Masterarbeit, Arbeit, Bewerbungen schreiben und einem bald anstehendem Umzug, ist der Blog leider auf der Strecke geblieben. Dabei hat sich eine Menge angesammelt und alles will verbloggt werden. Ich nehme mir auch fest vor, alles in lesbares Material umzuwandeln, aber die Masterarbeit und alles oben erwähnte hält mich weiterhin auf Trab. Aber nun genug von 'immer alles auf einmal', das Leben ist kein Ponyhof und voller schöner Dinge. Wie diese absolut fabelhafte Neuentdeckung - wahrscheinlich einer der besten dieses noch jungen Jahres - die jetzt zum Zuge kommt. 
Warum habe ich Ewigkeiten gebraucht, um endlich einen der Matte Revolution Lipsticks von Charlotte Tilbury mein Eigen nennen zu dürfen? Ernsthaft. Was habe ich mir nur gedacht? Wenn Charlotte sagt, dass diese Lippenstifte revolutionär sind, dann sind sie das auch, ohne wenn und aber. Eine Freundin war neulich in London und war so lieb mir so ein roségoldenes Schmuckstück mitzubringen. Sie sollte zwischen Bond Girl und Walk of Shame wählen. Bond Girl war weit und breit ausverkauft. Mit Walk of Shame bin ich aber auch mehr als happy. Laut Charlotte Tilburys webseite ist Walk of Shame ein berry tinted rose. In der Hülse tendiert es eher zu einem Rotbraun, genau wie auf meinen Lippen. Auch wenn ich die Farbe nicht ganz genau bestimmen kann, was sich absolut sicher sagen lässt: Die Textur ist der Wahnsinn. Cremig, langanhaltend, wunderbar matt und das Beste - sie trocknet meine ohnehin schon sehr trockenen Lippen nicht noch übermäßig weiter aus. Normalerweise muss ich nach einer Nacht mit mattem Lippenstift eine intensive Pflegekur mit Lipbalm und Maske einlegen. Drei Stunden Nars Velvet Lip Pencil auf den Lippen= drei Tage Pflege im Minutentakt auftragen. Hier verkürzt sich die Kur auf eine Nacht mit der Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask (Post dazu folgt). Die Matte Revolution Lippenstifte sehen also nicht nur unfassbar schön aus, ich komme tatsächlich kaum darüber hinweg, sie haben auch richtig was auf dem Kasten. 

Long time no post. I had a lot on my plate recently. Writing my master's thesis, working, writing job applications and organizing our move (new place is coming soon - yaaaay) is very time consuming. I had a lot to do and just couldn't make room for my blog. But I will try my best and and get back to more frequent postings. Hopefully. What would make a better post than my first favorite beauty product in 2016? The year just started, but this thing right here really is exciting. 
Why did it take me so long to get one of Charlotte Tilbury's Matte Revolution Lipsticks? I mean, seriously: Why? Because when Charlotte names them Matte Revolution Lipsticks, they are really matte and indeed revolutionary. 

A lovely friend of mine got me one of Charlotte Tilbury's wonders while she visited London. I asked her to pick up Bond Girl or Walk of Shame for me. Bond Girl was sold out and so she returned home with Walk of Shame. I was immediately blown away by the packaging. Look at it. It's rose golden, classy and has this vintage vibe. It makes me want to look at it and hold it in my hand all the time. And apply it, of course. According to Charlotte Tilbury's website Walk of Shame (the name...so good) is a berry tinted rose. In the tube it looks like a brownish red and so does it come out on my lips. No matter how you want to call the shade, it's fantastic and the texture is everything. My lips are naturally dry. After wearing a matte lipstick, like the Nars Velvet Lip Pencil, I have to apply a moisturizing lip balm or better a lip mask, three days and nights in a row just to get my lips back in shape. But with the Matte Revolution Lipstick, it's different. Its basically just one night with Bite Beauty's Agave Lip Mask (there's a post on this coming soon) and I'm good. The formula is creamy, long lasting and doesn't dry out my lips too much. I told you its a revolution. And this color?  Don't be fooled by the name, there's no shame in it. 

New in: Something for cheeks, lips, face, body and tummy

"Kannst du mir bitte bitte bitte etwas mitbringen? Also nur wenn du Zeit hast und zufällig bei Sephora/Duane Reade/CVS/Ulta vorbeikommst. Hier hast du eine kleine fünfseitige Liste mit Standorten der jeweiligen Shops, falls du grad in der Nähe sein solltest. Aber echt nur wenn du Zeit hast. Die haben da soooo coolen Kram und das bekommt man auch nur da." So in etwa klingt es, wenn ich eine Freundin bitte mir etwas aus dem Ausland, vorzugsweise den Staaten, mitzubringen. Allein der Gedanke an Sephora und Co. lässt mich vor Neid erblassen. Diese Auswahl ist unfassbar. All die coolen brands und diese süßen kleinen Minisets. Ich könnte durchdrehen. Glücklicherweise hatte ich in den letzten Wochen gleich drei mal die Gelegenheit mir ein paar Kleinigkeiten mitbringen zu lassen. 

"Can you pleeeeeeeeease get me something from Sephora/CVS/Duane Reade/Ulta? I mean, just in case you happen to be close to a store. Here is a five pages long list of store locations. But as I said, no pressure, but if you have a minute or two, pleeeeeeeeeeease go inside and get me _____ and _____ and _____." This is what it sounds like when I try to convince a friend who is going to travel to a destination with Sephora stores and great drugstores to get me a thing or two. And because I am a lucky girl, I had three friends visiting the U.S. and this is why I present you my new stuff born in the USA.

Den Anfang machen meine ersten Real Techniques Pinsel. Jetzt erst? Ja, ich weiß. Jetzt erst. Aber jetzt bin ich Besitzerin der Stippling Brush und des Core Collection Kits. Die Stippling Brush in Pink eignet sich hervorragend für Cremerouge. Das Core Collection Set beinhaltet eine Buffing Brush (darauf hatte ich es besonders abgesehen), eine Pointed Foundation Brush, eine Detailer Brush und eine Contour Brush. Das Ganze kommt noch in einem "Panoramic Brush Case" um die Pinsel sicher zu verstauen. 

Die Stippling Brush funktioniert wirklich ganz hervorragend, aber ich erwische mich trotzdem immer wieder dabei, wie ich mein Cremerouge mit den Fingern auftrage. Macht der Gewohnheit. 

Aus dem Core Collection Kit kam bisher die Contour Brush am häufigsten zum Einsatz. Meistens um Highlighter in Puderform aufzutragen. Die Pointed Foundation Brush trägt Foundation präzise und gut deckend auf. Die Buffing Brush arbeitet alles schön in die Haut ein. Die Detailer Brush habe ich bislang nur für Eyeliner benutzt und dafür war sie ok. 

Ich muss aber unbedingt erwähnen wie wahnsinnig weich die Pinsel sind. 

Let's start with my new Real Techniques brushes. Yes, I hopped on the bandwagon that late. I know, I know. But the Stippling brush for cream blush application is now with me. As well as the Core Collection kit with it's Pointed Foundation brush (best to achieve a medium coverage), the Buffing brush to really work the foundation into the skin, a Detailer brush I used for eyeliner application and a Contour brush which is perfect for powdery highlighters. I must admit that in terms of cream blush I still tend to use my fingers, because I am so used to it and it gives me more control over the product. But don't worry, the Stippling Brush serves a purpose and we will get there soon.

Bath & Body Works ist soooo eine Marktlücke in Deutschland. Diese Bodylotions, Duftkerzen, Bodysprays...Und diese Düfte. Vor gefühlt hundert Jahren hatte eine Freundin mal eine Handlotion in der Duftrichtung Paris Amour dabei. Ich schnüffelte kurz und war hin und weg. So etwas hatte ich noch nie gerochen. Absolut großartig. Irgendwie süß und pudrig, aber mit nichts anderem vergleichbar. Ich musste es haben. Deswegen versuche ich immer irgendwie an ein Fläschchen zu kommen. Meine Frisifee war so lieb und hat mich mit zwei kleinen Paris Amour Bodylotions und dem travel size Fine Fragrance Mist ausgestattet. Die Lotion und das Bodyspray kommen natürlich nicht täglich zum Einsatz, nur ab und zu, damit sich der Füllstand der Fläschchen bloß nicht verringert...Ja ich übertreibe, aber es riecht einfach so gut. Die Lotion riecht übrigens so gut und intensiv, dass ich oft nach 'meinem Parfum' gefragt werde wenn ich mal wieder vergessen habe mich einzusprühen und die Bodylotion solo trage. 

Bath& Body Works ist ja auch berühmt für seine Handdesinfektionsmittel, weil sie einfach himmlisch duften. Wo Pumpkin Frosting draufsteht, ist auch Pumpkin Frosting drin. Man möchte sich im Minutentakt die Hände desinfizieren und sie dann ablecken wenn niemand hinsieht. 

Why is there no Bath&Body Works in Germany? Maybe some don't know this yet, but we are desperately in need of it here. The candles, body lotions, fragrances...I don't even know where to start. Maybe with how I fell in love with a scent called Paris Amour. Ages ago a friend of mine had a hand lotion she let me use when my hands needed some moisture and it was one sniff that took me to scent heaven. I never smelled something like this before. It was sweet and powdery and hard to describe, but so so lovely. So whenever I get a chance to get a bottle or two, I am feeling extra lucky. My favorite hair dresser of all time, I call her my hair fairy, hooked me up with two Paris Amour travel sized Body Lotions and a mini Fine Fragrance Mist. I just use it once a week. because I don't want it to be gone one day. By the way: The scent is so intense (in a good way), that people ask me what fragrance I am wearing when I just slapped on the body lotion in the morning and forgot to use a perfume. 

She also got me one of their famous PoketBac Sanitizing Hand Gels. It has Pumpkin frosting written all over it and it makes me want to lick my hands after using it. I try not to, but the struggle is real. 

Oh Paris Amour, I j'adore you

Natürlich musste auch etwas bei Sephora gekauft werden. Für mich ist Sephora wie ein Süssigkeitenladen. Ich kann mich schwer entscheiden und will alles. Am liebsten eine gemischte Tüte für zwei Mark, ohne Lakritz. Aber so einfach ist das nicht. Entscheidungen müssen getroffen werden. Da ich mal wieder ein Rouge ins Auge gefasst hatte, habe ich mir das Coconut Watercolor Cheek Gelée von Josie Maran in der Farbe Honeymoon Honey mitbringen lassen. Es ist wie der Name schon sagt ein Gelée und nicht das übliche Cremerouge. Die Konsistenz ist dementsprechend gelartig, aber nicht zu weich. Ich hab ein bisschen Schwierigkeiten das Produkt sichtbar auf mein Gesicht zu bringen. Mit den Fingern klappt es eher schlecht als recht, aber mit der Stippling Brush geht es einigermaßen besser von der Hand. Die Farbe sieht dementsprechend sehr natürlich aus und schichten funktioniert auch nur bedingt. Einen schönen Glow zaubert es aber auf jeden Fall. 

Das zweite Produkt aus der Sephora shoppingbag ist ein Rollerball Duftset in den Duftrichtungen Nirvana White und Nirvana Black von Elizabeth and James. Ihr wisst schon, die Düfte der Olsen Zwillinge. Ich war mega gespannt darauf. Das kleine Set beinhaltet zwei Düfte im Rollerball-Format mit jeweils 7ml. Nirvana Black ist sehr würzig und rauchig. Mir ist er fast schon etwas zu schwer. Nirvana White dagegen ist genau mein Fall. Leicht, frisch und blumig. Und leider auch nach etwa 15min von meiner Haut verschwunden. Ich weiß nicht warum der Duft sooo leicht ist, dass er sich wirklich null auf der Haut hält, aber es ist ein Jammer. Ehrlich.

Eigentlich gab es noch ein drittes Produkt, aber das verdient einen eigenen Post. Also Augen auf.

On to Sephora. Sephora is like a candy store for beauty lovers. You want it all. But because I am not Richy Rich (yet), decisions had to be made. Because you know my love for blush, I gave Josie Maran's Coconut Watercolor Cheek Gelée in Honeymoon Honey a go. It is not my regular cream blush, but has a firm jelly-like consistency and isn't exactly easy to work with. Application with my fingers leads nowhere, but the Stippling Brush transfers at least a little bit of color to my cheeks and a nice bit of glow. Maybe I am not used to this formula just yet, but I prefer my plain old cream blush. 

I also love a good fragrance, especially the ones you don't smell often on hundreds of other people. I was super curious to check out the Nirvana perfumes by Elizabeth and James (Olsen twins rule). Nirvana Black and Nirvana White are available in a cute little rollerball mini set (7ml/0.24 oz each). Oh these mini sets always get me. Nirvana Black is a very smoky, dark and rather heavy fragrance, while Nirvana White is fresh, floraly and light. I really like this one, but somehow it disappears on me within minutes. I don't know if its me or if the fragrance is really this light. Its just sad. 

There is also a third treasure I got from Sephora, but I really, really love this one and it deserves an own post. So keep your eyes open.

Nirvana White (jaaaaaa!) and Nirvana Black (nah) Mini Rollerball set

Der Drogeriebereich in den USA ist voll mit Schätzen. Bei den günstigen Preisen war es wirklich schwer sich für eine Sache zu entscheiden. Aber ich habe mich zusammengerissen und mich einfach für ein Teil in zwei Ausführungen entschieden: Den NYX Butter Lip Balm. Meinen NYX Butter Gloss habe ich hier schon vorgestellt und weil ich den schon extrem gut fand, erschien es mir als logische Konsequenz auch den passenden Lip Balm zu testen. 

Ich habe den Lip Balm in den Farben 02 Ladyfingers und 08 Brownie geordert und bin mit den Farben ganz zufrieden. Ladyfingers ist besser pigmentiert als Brownie, aber das geht in Ordnung. Sie duften fruchtig, aber meine Nase kann irgendwie nicht ausmachen was für ein Duft genau das ist. Was ich allerdings gar nicht gut finde: Mineral Oil als Bestandteil des Balms. Mineral Oil sorgt für den 'Labello'-Effekt. Mineralöl trocknet die Lippen aus und man muss immer wieder nachschmieren. Das mag ich so gar nicht. Aber da er nicht im Dauereinsatz ist, ist das ok. 

American drugstores offer a lot of cool stuff. I'm not saying that German drugstores don't give us cool stuff, but we always want what is hard to get, right? Again, I could hardly decide on just one thing, because I need options. So how about the NYX Butter Lip Balm in two colors? I already raved about the Butter Lipgloss here, so I am familiar with the idea. The Butter Lip Balms promise hydration and a sheer color. I got mine in 02 Ladyfingers, which is a bright pink and 08 Brownie, a rosy brown hue. They have a fruity scent, but I can't really say what exactly it is. They glide on the lips, but in terms of moisture I am not amused. They contain mineral oil which is no good, because it actually dehydrates and forces you to reapply it often. The Butter Lip Balms are okay as long as I don't use them everyday.

Und weil nichts über Erdnussbutter geht und auch nichts über Schokolade, musste auch etwas Süßes her. Reese`s Peanutbutter cups <3 Eine Packung ist leider nicht auf dem Bild zu sehen, weil schon längst verputzt. Die Häschen mit weißer Schokolade (ab hier wird's kaum besser) sind so lecker wie sie aussehen. Dazu gab es noch jeweils ein Glas Organic Peanut- und Almond butter, aber die sind natürlich auch schon halb leer gegessen. 

Tja und was soll ich zu den Frozen Frühstücksflocken sagen? Da sind kleine Marshmallows drin. Die hatte ich damals auch als Indiana Jones limited edition mit kleinen Marshmallows in Hutform und ja, leider auch in Form des doofen Kristallschädels, aber toll war das trotzdem. Und lecker. Natürlich nichts für einen strengen Ernährungsplan von Fitness- und healthy lifestyle begeisterten Menschen, aber das ist mir sowas von egal. Das Leben besteht nicht nur aus Smoothies und Gemüse, sondern auch aus Schneeflockenmarshmallows und sehr viel Erdnussbutter.  

Maybe you know my love for peanut butter and chocolate. First thing that comes to your mind? Reese's. We have a not so secret love affair. Unfortunatly I just have the white chocolate bunnies left to show you, because the huge package of Reese's peanut butter cups was gone in light speed. Once upon a time there was a glass of organic peanut and almond butter, but you don't want to see half empty jars, do you?

 Is this a box of limited edition Frozen Cereals? Yes, it is. They have these little snow flake marshmallows in there. When they released Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Chrystal Skull (still not over it) there was a limited edition of Indiana Jones cereals with marshmallows that looked like his hat, torch and the stupid chrystal skull. They were uber cool and delicious. I know that marshmallows in my cereal are not what is considered healthy and good for me, but I don't care. Of course I try to eat healthy and have my porridge and veggies and stuff, but life isn't all about smoothies and workout sessions. Sometimes it is all about ice chrystal marshmallows and peanut butter.

New in: Glamour shopping week April 2015

Alle Jahre wieder kommt die Glamour Shopping Week mit ihren Rabatten wieder. Und alle Jahre wieder nehme ich die teilweise großzügigen Rabatte zum Anlass um ein paar Häckchen auf meiner Wunschliste zu machen. In diesem Jahr lockten mich besonders Niche Beauty und Asos mit 20% Rabatt. Ich hatte sowieso schon länger ein Auge auf den Living Luminizer von rms geworfen. Ich wartete nur auf den passenden Augenblick um ihn zu bestellen und siehe da, die Falle schnappte zu. 

Twice a year Glamour magazine teams up with stores and online shops around the country for their Glamour shopping week to spoil us with some pretty nice discounts and gifts. This year I got tempted especially by Niche Beauty's 20% discount.

Los geht's gleich mal mit meiner Bestellung bei Niche Beauty. Wie hübsch die Sachen verpackt sind versetzt mich sogleich in Verzückung. Ich liebe es Päckchen auszupacken und ja, auch wenn ich weiß was drin ist. Das Päckchen von Niche Beauty ist so liebevoll verpackt, dass ich das Gefühl hatte, dass ich mich selbst beschenke. Herrlich ist das. 

Bestellt habe ich, wie schon erwähnt, den Living Luminizer von rms beauty. Da ist kein Schnickschnack drin und kein Glitzer, weder grob noch fein, nur schöner Schimmer muss es sein. Der Living Luminizer hinterlässt einfach nur einen perfekten Glanz auf der Haut. Und Miranda Kerr benutzt ihn auch regelmäßig. Models muss man in Beautyangelegenheiten einfach vertrauen. Bei einem Preis von 39€ muss man erst ein oder zwei Mal schlucken. Aber der Highlighter ist den hohen Preis wert. Wirklich. Und wenn man die 20% Rabatt obendrauf rechnet und bedenkt, wie lange so ein Pöttchen vermutlich hält, ist alles gut.

Was ich auch brauchte, wirklich brauchte war das Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater von Mario Badescu. Nachdem ich gefühlt ständig irgendwo gelesen habe, dass es großartig ist, wurde ich stutzig. Als Andreea Diaconu es dann noch in ihrem Top Shelf auf intothegloss erwähnte, rutschte das gute Teil ganz schnell nach oben auf der Wunschliste. Ich meine Andreea ist ein Model und schaut euch mal diese unfassbar gute Haut an. Das muss doch irgendwo herkommen. Jaja, Ernährung, gute Gene, Sport und eben das Facial Spray von Mario Badescu. Daran wird's liegen. Da bin ich mir sicher. Ich habe sowieso noch nie einen Toner gefunden der mich so richtig überzeugt hat. Irgendwie war alles bisher so naja. Das war einmal. Seitdem ich das Facial Spray habe, sprühe ich gnadenlos jede Pore meines Gesichts ein. Ständig. Ich weiß nicht, ob es an dem außerordentlich betörenden Rosenduft liegt oder daran, dass mir meine Haut tatsächlich weniger trocken vorkommt und irgendwie mehr Glow hat. Ich habe ja immer die Augen verdreht wenn jemand so von einem Gesichtswasser geschwärmt hat, aber Mario Badescu hat mich Lügen gestraft. 118ml kosten 10€. Ich würde auch noch einen 5er drauflegen so verliebt bin ich. Hoffen wir nicht dass ich jetzt an einer Preiserhöhung schuld bin. 

Die drei beigelegten Pröbchen durfte ich mir selbst aussuchen. Von dem Good Genes Treatment von Sunday Riley habe ich bislang auch nur Gutes gelesen. Und der Name lässt auch nichts anderes vermuten. Das Queen of Hungary Mist hat mich auch so neugierig gemacht. Ich weiß noch nicht wann es zum Einsatz kommen wird, weil ich im Moment wie ein Junkie nur am Sprühflakon von Mario Badescu hänge, aber der Tag wird kommen. 

I had my eye on the Living Luminizer by rms beauty for a while now and considering that it's a tiny tin for 39€, there's no wonder that I was desperately waiting for a good deal. So I put it in my shopping cart the minute the Glamour shopping week started.  

So why the Living Luminizer by rms beauty? First: Miranda Kerr uses this one and you gotta trust a model when it comes to beauty. The Living Luminizer consists of natural ingredients and has no crazy large amounts of glitter in it. It just leaves the skin looking healthy with a nice sheen. I can only imagine how long this little tin will last, but I guess it will take a while to hit the pan and so 31€ isn't that bad really. 

After reading about Mario Badescu's Facial Mist with Aloe, Herbs and Rose Water a couple of times on Into the Gloss, I knew I had to give this a go someday. When Andreea Diaconu mentioned this in her top shelf it was clear to me that I needed this in my life asap. I mean she's a model and look at that skin. Maybe girl just got good genes, but I'm willing to believe that it's got something to do with this magical face mist. And it smells like roses. Come on, it's needless to say that this is what beauty dreams are made of. It smells like roses and makes you pretty. Hand me dat. I used to roll my eyes when someone told me that they discovered an awesome facial toner which really improved their skin. In my head it was like "It's just fancy water, get over it". But now things have changed. I really believe that my skin has improved somehow. I feel like it has a little bit more glow. I like to sprizz this all over my face (on every pore actually) a couple of times a day (like all the time). It's just so refreshing and smells so good. It retails for 10€, but I would even pay 15€, because it's magical. Don't get me wrong, I don't hope they are raising prices soon, I'm just saying. 
My order (look at the cute packaging) came with three samples. I'm super excited to give the Good Genes Treatment by Sunday Riley a go and the Queen of Hungary Mist will be tested as soon as I can stay away from my Mario Badescu Facial Spray.

Bei Asos habe ich ein paar Kleider für eine bevorstehende Hochzeit geordert und dieses schöne Schätzchen hier. Das Creme Blush von Bourjois in der Farbe 04 Sweet Cherry. In Polen habe ich verzweifelt danach gesucht. Fehlanzeige. Dort gehört es nicht zum Sortiment. Jetzt sind wir Dank Asos vereint und das ist auch gut so. Die Konsistenz ist so, wie ich es von einem guten Cremerouge erwarte: Cremig mit Puderfinish. Auf der Haut lässt es sich mühelos verteilen und verblenden. Die Farbbezeichnung ist meiner Meinung nach irreführend. Mit Kirschen hat das nicht so viel zu tun. Es ist ein rosiges Braun und wirkt aufgetragen überhaupt nicht so dunkel wie im Pfännchen. Abzüglich der 20% Rabatt kostete das Cream Blush nur noch etwa 9€. Super Preis, super Produkt. 

Asos also offered 20% discount and so I ordered a couple of dresses for an upcoming wedding and a new blush by Bourjois. For some these cream blushes are old news, but this one is the first in my collection. I tried to get my hands on them in Poland only to find out that they are not available there. Sad face. But thanks to Asos and their 20% discount, the Bourjois Cream Blush in 04 Sweet Cherry is finally with me. The blush comes in a little round pot with a mirror. It's a rosy brown shade (it's got nothing to do with the shade name actually) without shimmer and a velvety cream to powder finish. Really nice. A decent product for 9€.

Und zu guter Letzt noch etwas fürs Haar. Bei Parfumdreams nutzte ich die 16% (oder waren es 15%?) Rabatt, um mir das Full Thickening Mousse von Living Proof zu gönnen. Damit liebäugelte ich auch schon länger und besonders seitdem mein Haar kürzer ist. 
Haarschaum ist ja sooo 80er. Die Haare wirken verklebt, einzelne Strähnen pappen zusammen wie dreadlocks und glänzen so seltsam. Man denke an Madonna im Videoclip zu Like a Virgin. Das möchte man einfach nicht. Die neue Generation Haarschaum hat damit aber nichts mehr zu tun. Das Full Thickening Mousse von Living Proof soll für Volumen und definierte Wellen/Locken sorgen. Ich arbeite es in nur noch leicht feuchtes Haar ein, drehe meine Haare dann wie gewöhnlich zu einer Prinzessin Leia-Frisur oder auch einfach nur zu einer Schnecke, föhne kurz drüber und lasse das Ganze dann 30min trocknen. Das Ergebnis sind leichte Wellen mit etwas Textur und etwas mehr Volumen. Zugegeben, eine Löwenmähne sieht anders aus, aber aus meinen Haaren holt es schon viel raus. Damit kann ich arbeiten. Abzüglich des Shopping Week Rabatts habe ich noch ca. 22€ auf den Tisch gelegt. Vielleicht gibt es günstigere Alternativen, aber mit dieser hier bin ich definitiv nicht unglücklich. 

The last thing on my wish list was Living Proof's Full Thicking Mousse. After I cut my hair a few weeks back I'm totally into that volume and texture thing. When I first read about the Full Thickening Mousse I initially thought Madonna's hair in the 80ies. Remember what mousse did back then? It was sticky, wet and hair looked crazy. But this stuff is different. It delivers volume and texture in a good, not 80ies kind of way. I just wash my hair, put the mousse in damp hair, recreate Princess Leia's hair and use my blow dryer to set everything. Let it cool for 30minutes and done. Hello texturized waves with a little bit more volume. 25€ isn't exactly cheap (even with the 15% something discount at Parfum Dreams), but  I think that Living Proof delivers what they are promising.

New in: Marc Jacobs Beauty Highliner Gel Eye Crayon Ro(Cocoa)

Ich war also bei Sephora in Polen und hatte mich auf Marc Jacobs Beauty eingeschossen. Die Le Marc Lip Créme in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang stand ganz oben auf der Wunschliste und wurde sogleich eingetütet. Und was nun? Sollte ich Infamous noch mitnehmen? Oder doch lieber den Enamored Hi-Shine Lacquer in Fluorescent Beige oder Petra? Oder den Remedy Concealer Pen oder die Genius Gel Foundation? Zu viele Optionen, zu wenig Budget #studentensindarm. Dann fiel mein Blick auf die Highliner Gel Eye Crayons. Ich swatchte ein paar der Farben und war plötzlich blitzverliebt in Ro(Cocoa). Dieses leicht schimmernde Braun würde sich hervorragend auf meinen Lidern machen und grüne Augen plus Braun/Kupfer/Taupe ist eine Rechnung die immer aufgeht. Als ich dann doch nochmal Platz auf meiner Hand schaffen wollte, musste ich erstmal heftig reiben. Der Highliner zeigte sich völlig unbeeindruckt von meinem Versuch ihn zunächst mit dem Taschentuch und dann mit Wasser zum Verlassen meiner Hautoberfläche zu bewegen. Auch normale Abschminklotion konnte ihn nicht vollständig lösen. Ich könnte schwören, dass ich ihn hab lachen hören. Dann also musste der zwei Phasen Entferner her und Ro(Cocoa) murmelte nur etwas wie "Spielverderber" und weg war er. Über die sensationelle Tragedauer muss ich jetzt wohl nichts weiter sagen. Auch auf meinen öligen Lidern hält er bombenfest. Preislich ist auch der Highliner so viel Wert wie zehn Drogeriestifte, aber hier investiert man die 95złote/ca.24€ in eine wunderzauberhafte Farbe und extrem gute Haltbarkeit. Kein Verschmieren oder spontanes Auflösen nach ein paar Stunden. Ich für meinen Teil bin jetzt high auf Liner und wer ihn probiert wird es sicher auch sein.

So there I was. Willing, but too broke to buy every single item of Marc Jacobs Beauty line #studentlife. The Le Marc Lip Crème was safe and already waiting in my basket to be mine. But I wanted more. I wanted another lip color, one or two of the Enamored Hi-Shine Lacquers (looking at you Fluorescent Beige and Petra), the Genius Gel Foundation, the Remedy Concealer Pen...I wanted it all. So I started swatching again and suddenly there it was, that rare where have-you-been-I-need-you-moment. The moment I spotted the Highliner Gel Eye Crayon in Ro(Cocoa) this was it. This bronzy shimmery shade stole my heart. Bronzy shades and green eyes always get along and Ro(Cocoa) is no exception here. But now the best part: it stays in place no matter what. It tried to rub it off with a tissue, then with water and then I reached for a cleansing lotion. I swear I heard the Highliner laughing and saying something like "nice try". So if you want to get rid of this stuff, you can try your luck rubbing it off which will probably lead you nowhere. But I suggest leaving this job to a good Eye Make-up remover for waterproof mascara. I guess there's no need to talk about longevity of this product here. Once applied it even sticks to my oily eyelids for the whole day. If you're looking for a really really good eyeliner, than grab Marc Jacob's Highliner. At 95złote/25$ it is a little bit pricey, but it is worth every penny. I'm high on liner right now and you will be too. Trust me.

New in: Marc Jacobs Beauty Le Marc Lip Créme Kiss Kiss Bang Bang

Vor Kurzem habe ich meiner Familie in Polen mal wieder einen kleinen Besuch abgestattet und natürlich gehört dazu auch ein wenig shopping. Und wie ich so bin, habe ich zwei Wochen im Voraus schon mal Sephora.pl auf Neuzugänge überprüft um meine Wunschliste zu füttern. Und siehe da, ich wurde fündig. Drei Worte: Marc Jacobs Beauty. Ich habe mich gefreut wie ein Schnitzel, nur dieser "exclusive Sephora Gold-Banner" (für Mitglieder mit Goldstatus) auf der Produktseite löste leichte Panik bei mir aus. Ein paar E-Mails an Sephora und Tassen Beruhigungstee später hörte das Zittern und Bangen aber wieder auf: Bis zum Zeitpunkt meines Eintreffens würde alles online und in den Shops für alle erhältlich sein. Als es dann endlich in den Einkaufstempel meiner Wahl ging war.ich.so.aufgeregt. Ich glaube, ich stand eine Stunde vor dem Regal und habe alles geswatcht bis nur noch Platz auf meinen Oberarmen war. Und das obwohl ich genau wusste, was ich unbedingt haben wollte. Die Le Marc Lip Crème in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang sollte es werden. 

Nach einem heißen Kopf an Kopf Rennen mit Infamous musste es einfach Kiss Kiss Bang Bang sein. Ich sage nicht, dass der Name ausschlaggebend war, aber wie cool klingt Kiss Kiss Bang Bang denn bitte? Das Design ist schick und ohne viel Schnickschnack. Schwarz mit silberner Aufschrift. Dazu ein Magnetverschluss. Da freut man sich als Spielkind immer wenn man ihn benutzt und macht ihn dann auch ein, zwei Mal öfter auf und zu als nötig. Die Textur ist cremig und voll pigmentiert. Auf meinen Lippen, die leider zu extremer Trockenheit neigen, muss ich vorher auf jeden Fall einen Lippenbalsam auftragen und am besten noch peelen, weil die Lip Créme keine Hautschüppchen verzeiht. Der Lippenstift an sich fühlt sich aufgetragen zwar nicht an wie die Sahara, aber ein Springbrunnen ist es auch nicht unbedingt.  

Mit der abgerundeten Form des Lippenstifts komme ich ganz gut klar. Ein paar Reviews merkten die spezielle Form an, aber kein Grund zur Beunruhigung. Die Farbe entschädigt meiner Meinung nach aber für mögliche Minuspunkte. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang wird als baked rose beschrieben und passt natürlich in mein übliches Beuteschema. Es ist aber trotzdem kein typisches Rosenholz, weil da noch ein Hauch "brightness" - mir fällt kein deutsches Äquivalent dafür ein - mitschwingt. Der Ton ist zwar irgendwie natürlich und my lips but better, verleiht aber auch etwas mehr Frische. Die Haltbarkeit ist ok, aber nicht herausragend. 3-4 Stunden ohne großartige Lippenaktivität übersteht er fast tadellos.

Mit 125złote, also umgerechnet etwas mehr als 30€, sind die Le Marc Lip Crémes wahrlich kein Schnäppchen. Aber für exklusivere Dinge legt man ja gerne etwas mehr Kleingeld auf den Tisch, auch wenn ich jetzt Broke Broke Bang Bang bin. Man kann nämlich nicht zu Sephora gehen und nur einen Lippenstift kaufen.

A few days ago I visited my family in Poland and as tradition demands, we went for a little shopping spree. Maybe I'm not the most organized person when it comes to basically everything, but I'm always prepared in terms of beauty shopping. So I checked Sephora.pl in advance to fill the blank spaces on my wish list and spotted three words which kept me busy for the next two weeks: Marc Jacobs Beauty. There it was within my reach. But then the horror: Sephora Gold exclusive (in Poland they call it Gold not VIB Rouge). Some (more) emails to Sephora's costumer care and cups of calming tea later, I started to breathe easily again. By the time I would arrive in Poland everything would be accessible online and in stores. 

So when the time came, I was so excited. I think it took me an hour to actually swatch every single item of the whole line. I had swatches up to my upper arm, I just had to see it all. I'm not saying this was nonsense, because I knew exactly what I wanted, but you have to get rid of all the doubts in the first place. After writing a short pro/con list in my head, I went home with the Le Marc Lip Créme in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang= #numberoneonmywishlist. Sorry Infamous, but you'll be next, I promise. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, what a name. I'm not saying that the name made me buy it, but in case I need more justification the name is just awesome. Imagine someone asking you what you got on your lips and you're like "Oh, this? Its just plain old - Kiss Kiss Bang Bang!" This is meant to be said. And now look at this simple yet stylish packaging. Silver on black with a magnetic cap. I could open and close this thing all day long. In terms of texture it's creamy and crazy pigmented but drying. I suffer from extremely dry lips and have to apply a lip balm underneath so my lips don't end up looking and feeling like the Sahara after wear. I read that some people are not to fond of the rounded tip of the Lip Crémes. I can't report any issues so far. On to color: Kiss Kiss Bang Bang is described as baked rose. Of course my love for rosewood shades made this caught my eye at first, but there is this brightness that makes this a standout, at least in my endless collection of my lips but better lipsticks. It just adds a bit freshness to my face. Wearing time is about 3-4 hours without too much lip action involved. They retail for 125złote/30$ which isn't exactly cheap. But what can I say? It's a lovely shade, it's Marc Jacobs and I needed it. And I'm Broke Broke Bang Bang now, because come on, you don't leave Sephora with just one lipstick.

Lancôme Teint Miracle Cushion& Hypnôse Drama Mascara Review

Es ist ja schon länger bekannt, dass so ziemlich alles Neue und Aufregende das die Beautyindustrie zu bieten hat, aus Korea kommt. Ihre Kosmetik- und Hautpflegeinnovationen sind uns einfach eine Nasenlänge voraus. Cushion Foundations, also Foundations die in ein Kissen bzw einen Schwamm eingelassen sind, sind dort schon ein alter Hut. Und nun endlich auch bei uns erhältlich. Für Douglas dufte ich die neue Lancôme Teint Miracle Cushion Foundation unter die Lupe nehmen und mir selbst ein Bild machen. Obendrauf gab es noch die Hypnôse Drama Mascara. Vielen Dank dafür an Douglas! 

Die Verpackung des Produkts ist schon hübsch anzuschauen. Die Optik entspricht einer Puderdose in Silber und Weiß mit integriertem Spiegel. Im Inneren steckt ein Applikator, der in das Kissen gedippt wird, um die Foundation aufzunehmen und im Gesicht aufzutragen. Teint Miracle Cushion beschreibt ein leichtes, flüssiges Makeup, das in einem innovativen Kissen aus Polyurethan steckt. Die Deckkraft würde ich als leicht bis mittel beschreiben, kann aber auch etwas gelayered werden. Das Finish ist dewy und gleicht Rötungen und Unebenheiten schön aus. Für ölige Haut ist das Finish vielleicht etwas zu glänzend. Ich mag das allerdings sehr gerne, weil das Gesicht einfach frischer und lebendiger wirkt. 

Pluspunkte gibt es für den hohen Lichtschutzfaktor: LSF 23 ist top und eignet sich daher auch optimal für wärmere Tage. Auch die Textur ist sommertauglich, weil die Foundation die Haut kühlt. Tatsache. Sobald die Foundation die Haut berührt, wird sie auf -2,3 Grad heruntergekühlt. Sachen gibt's. 

Ich habe sie in der Nuance 02 Beige Rosè getestet. Leider etwas zu dunkel für mich. Geswatcht sieht man einen deutlichen Unterschied, verblendet dann zwar nicht mehr so arg, aber die Foundation dunkelt nach und ist auf meiner blassen Haut dann auf jeden Fall sichtbar. Trotzdem habe ich sie daheim ein paar Tage Probe getragen und finde die Haltbarkeit auf der Haut gut. Sie verschwindet nicht einfach oder wird fleckig, so wie ich es mit anderen Foundations erlebt habe. 

Insgesamt gibt es in Deutschland vier Nuancen der Cushion Foundation (in anderen Ländern sind es sechs Nuancen). Kostenpunkt: knapp 43€. Praktisch ist hierbei, dass das Foundationkissen nachgefüllt werden kann. Ein Ersatzcushion ist schon für ca. 30€ zu haben.

It's no news that everything new and cool concerning beauty that occurs in our parts, has been cool before in Korea. This is why they had cushion foundations long before they appeared on our beauty shelves. I got the chance to test drive Lancôme's new Teint Miracle Cushion for Douglas. And they even put a deluxe sample of their Hypnôse Drama Mascara on top. Thanks a lot, Douglas! 

The look of the packaging of Lancôme's Teint Miracle is very cool and futuristic. It looks like a powder compact with a silver top and a white colored bottom. Inside there is a mirror and a sponge for application. But what exactly is new about Teint Miracle Cushion? The liquid foundation lies inside a polyurethane cushion and can be applied by pressing a finger, brush or a sponge into it. It gives rather sheer coverage which can be build to achieve medium coverage. The finish is dewy, what I like, but can look greasy on oily skin types. My face just looks fresh and any redness is covered up. A huge bonus is the SPF 23/PA++, which makes it great for warmer days. What's also cool, in the truest sense of the word, is that it cools down the skin's temperature up to -2,3degree. Its magic.

I received the shade 02 Beige Rose, which unfortunately is too dark for my skin tone. It's very obvious when swatched on my arm and you are also able to see it on my face, because it darkens on the skin. But I wore it a couple times at home and must say, that the lasting power of this is quite impressive. It fades evenly and leaves no weird dark stains behind. Right now there are four shades available in Germany (six shades in other countries) and retail for 43€ at Douglas. Good news: Once you purchased the whole thing, you can simply get a new cushion and replace the old in the original packaging. Refill cushions retail for about 30€ each.

Das zweite Produkt meines Testpakets war ein Deluxesample der Hypnôse Drama Mascara. Das Bürstchen gefällt mir ziemlich gut, nimmt aber sehr viel Produkt auf. Da meine Wimpern grundsätzlich nur mit wasserfester Mascara zurecht kommen, ist auch die Hypnose Drama ein klein wenig zu nass und damit zu schwer, um meinen Wimpern Schwung zu geben oder zu halten. Ich habe eine Menge Produkt abstreifen müssen, damit nicht alles an Volumen flöten geht. Gleich nach dem Auftragen war das Ergebnis echt schön, aber kaum hatte ich zweimal geblinzelt ist mein Wimpernzangenschwung auch schon über den Jordan gegangen. Ich kann mir aber sehr gut vorstellen, dass Beauties, die von Natur aus mit geschwungenen Wimpern gesegnet wurden, sehr gut mit der Hypnôse Drama arbeiten können. 

P.S. Auf den Bildern unten ist mal mein linkes und mal mein rechtes Auge zu sehen. Ich habe die Mascara gleich auf dem rechten Auge aufgetragen und erst beim Tuschen gemerkt, dass ich vergessen habe vorher/nachher Bilder zu machen. Dafür musste dann das linke Auge herhalten. Und die Lichtverhältnisse haben sich auch ständig verändert. Und beim letzten Foto hatte ich dann auch noch eine Wimper im Auge und habe nicht erkannt, dass ich nicht richtig fokussiert habe^^

As I already mentioned, I also received a deluxe sample of Lancôme's Hypnôse Drama Mascara. It has been around for a long time now, but somehow I never found the necessity to give it a go. So when Douglas sent it to me for review I finally got a chance to test it. I curled my lashes for a few minutes and applied a first coat of Hypnôse Drama. The brush looked promising, but there was so much product on it, that I had to wipe off a whole lot of it first. Right after the first coat my lashes looked great. They were curled and seemed longer. But just one blink of an eye later, all the magic  was gone and my stubborn lashes found their way back straight to reality (pun intended). They just can't handle non waterproof mascaras and the Hypnose Drama is no exception. But I can see a lot of people with naturally curled lashes fall in love with it.
P.S. In the pictures below you will notice that in some of them you see my left eye and in others you see my right eye. I forgot to take before/after pictures of my right eye, because I applied the mascara immediately after I got. While applying it to my right eye I just realized that I need some "before" pictures and so I used my left eye as a reference for bare and curled lashes. Long story and its not the end yet. And the lightning that day changed about one thousand times in a minute, thats why some pics are more red or yellow toned. And by the end a lash had fallen into my eye and I didn't realize that the pictures taken were blurry. #beautybloggerproblems^^
