Meet your match: L'oréal Perfect Match Foundation

Mit Foundation ist es so eine Sache. Die einen mögen sie, die anderen nicht. Manche sind auf gut deckende Foundations angewiesen während der Rest lieber nur eine getönte Tagescreme verwendet. Es gibt so unendlich viele Gesichtsmakeups wie es Bedürfnisse gibt. Was aber haben alle Beauties gemeinsam? Ganz gleich ob Camouflage oder BB Cream, die richtige Farbe müssen alle finden. Denn mal ehrlich, ist das Gesichtsmakeup viel zu hell oder viel zu dunkel, macht es die Sache leider alles andre als besser. Den richtigen Ton zu treffen ist unter Umständen gar nicht so schwierig, man muss nur genügend ausprobieren. Was aber tun wenn das Objekt der Begierde entweder nur in viel zu hellen, viel zu dunklen, mit zu viel Rosaanteil und zu wenig gelben Untertönen vorhanden ist? Mischen? Möglich, aber zeitaufwendig. Daher begrüße ich Sortimente, die besonders viele verschiedene Farbabstufungen im Programm haben. Siehe MAC oder L'oreal. L'oreal's neu formulierte Perfect Match Foundation ist in ganzen neun Nuancen erschienen und dürfte so die Suche nach der perfekten Farbe erheblich erleichtern. Ich bekam von L'oreal freundlicherweise ein Testpaket mit allen neun Nuancen und konnte so durchtesten was auf meiner Haut am natürlichsten wirkt. Im Moment passt 3.N ganz hervorragend, weil wohl noch ein Rest von Sommerteint (den ich wirklich hatte???) meinen Schneewittchenteint etwas dunkler macht. Spätestens im November dürfte ich aber eher eine 2.N sein. Aber mal zur Textur: Die Perfect Match Foundation fühlt sich seidig an und gleitet nur so auf der Haut. Die Deckkraft würde ich im gesunden Mittel ansiedeln. Sie deckt gerötete Stellen zuverlässig ab, betont bei mir aber leider auch trockene Stellen und bekommt dann teilweise einen ganz leichten Maskeneffekt. Sie dunkelt nach einiger Zeit auch etwas nach, aber bleibt auf meiner Haut weder zu matt noch zu glänzend. Leider ist der Sommer sowas von vorbei, so dass ich die Perfect Match Foundation keinem Härtetest mehr unterziehen kann, aber mit dem bisherigen Ergebnis bin ich doch recht zufrieden. Für die Farbauswahl gehen alle Daumen hoch und auch die Textur kann sich sehen lassen. Meine Haut verträgt die Foundation bislang auch ziemlich gut. Unterlagerungen oder Pickelchen sind bisher nicht aufgetaucht. Supi.

Do you have a favorite foundation? Have you already found your perfect, second skin face make up? If you haven't, I suggest you take a look at L'orèal's newly re-released Perfect Match Foundation. Every skin is different and has certain needs and issues like redness, impurities or needs color correction. Some faces can get away with a tinted moisturizer while others need something with full coverage. But whatever it is that you fancy, whether it's something bb, cc or special camouflage, if it's not the right shade it will do a lot but not help with whatever your skin concern is. Finding your ideal shade is no magic, it's error and trial. Sometimes you fall in love with a texture, but just can't make it work on your face, because it's too yellow for you or leans too much towards pink. You can mix foundations of course, but a) nobody got time for that and b) you will have to buy two foundations and nobody got money for that because there is always a new lipstick to buy instead. So thank god for make up brands that understand that there are more than just light, medium and dark skin tones. Take MAC as an example. Or just check your local drugstore for L'orèal's Perfect Match Foudation. It comes in nine shades, which is a lot for a drugstore product. L'orèal was kind enough to send me a little box with all shades available to pick the perfect one for my skin tone. Right now I'm a 3.N because of my summer tan (apparently I had a summer tan?!), but I should be a 2.N by the arrival of November. In terms of texture the foundation has a silky feel to it and glides easily on the skin without being slippery. It is medium coverage, but can be layered a bit if you desire more coverage and less natural skin. It covers redness, but also has a tendency to highlight dry areas on my face. It oxcidizes after a while, but doesn't turn too shiny or too matte on me. Unfortunately summer is over, because I would love to put this one to a real test, but this will have to wait a few more months. So far I'm quite happy with the Perfect Match Foundation, it causes no breakouts and applied with the real technique (I haven't figured out yet for sure) it looks natural enough for my taste. 

Lancôme Teint Miracle Cushion& Hypnôse Drama Mascara Review

Es ist ja schon länger bekannt, dass so ziemlich alles Neue und Aufregende das die Beautyindustrie zu bieten hat, aus Korea kommt. Ihre Kosmetik- und Hautpflegeinnovationen sind uns einfach eine Nasenlänge voraus. Cushion Foundations, also Foundations die in ein Kissen bzw einen Schwamm eingelassen sind, sind dort schon ein alter Hut. Und nun endlich auch bei uns erhältlich. Für Douglas dufte ich die neue Lancôme Teint Miracle Cushion Foundation unter die Lupe nehmen und mir selbst ein Bild machen. Obendrauf gab es noch die Hypnôse Drama Mascara. Vielen Dank dafür an Douglas! 

Die Verpackung des Produkts ist schon hübsch anzuschauen. Die Optik entspricht einer Puderdose in Silber und Weiß mit integriertem Spiegel. Im Inneren steckt ein Applikator, der in das Kissen gedippt wird, um die Foundation aufzunehmen und im Gesicht aufzutragen. Teint Miracle Cushion beschreibt ein leichtes, flüssiges Makeup, das in einem innovativen Kissen aus Polyurethan steckt. Die Deckkraft würde ich als leicht bis mittel beschreiben, kann aber auch etwas gelayered werden. Das Finish ist dewy und gleicht Rötungen und Unebenheiten schön aus. Für ölige Haut ist das Finish vielleicht etwas zu glänzend. Ich mag das allerdings sehr gerne, weil das Gesicht einfach frischer und lebendiger wirkt. 

Pluspunkte gibt es für den hohen Lichtschutzfaktor: LSF 23 ist top und eignet sich daher auch optimal für wärmere Tage. Auch die Textur ist sommertauglich, weil die Foundation die Haut kühlt. Tatsache. Sobald die Foundation die Haut berührt, wird sie auf -2,3 Grad heruntergekühlt. Sachen gibt's. 

Ich habe sie in der Nuance 02 Beige Rosè getestet. Leider etwas zu dunkel für mich. Geswatcht sieht man einen deutlichen Unterschied, verblendet dann zwar nicht mehr so arg, aber die Foundation dunkelt nach und ist auf meiner blassen Haut dann auf jeden Fall sichtbar. Trotzdem habe ich sie daheim ein paar Tage Probe getragen und finde die Haltbarkeit auf der Haut gut. Sie verschwindet nicht einfach oder wird fleckig, so wie ich es mit anderen Foundations erlebt habe. 

Insgesamt gibt es in Deutschland vier Nuancen der Cushion Foundation (in anderen Ländern sind es sechs Nuancen). Kostenpunkt: knapp 43€. Praktisch ist hierbei, dass das Foundationkissen nachgefüllt werden kann. Ein Ersatzcushion ist schon für ca. 30€ zu haben.

This is why they had cushion foundations long before they appeared on our beauty shelves. I got the chance to test drive Lancôme's new Teint Miracle Cushion for Douglas. And they even put a deluxe sample of their Hypnôse Drama Mascara on top. Thanks a lot, Douglas! 

The look of the packaging of Lancôme's Teint Miracle is very cool and futuristic. It looks like a powder compact with a silver top and a white colored bottom. Inside there is a mirror and a sponge for application. But what exactly is new about Teint Miracle Cushion? The liquid foundation lies inside a polyurethane cushion and can be applied by pressing a finger, brush or a sponge into it. It gives rather sheer coverage which can be build to achieve medium coverage. The finish is dewy, what I like, but can look greasy on oily skin types. My face just looks fresh and any redness is covered up. A huge bonus is the SPF 23/PA++, which makes it great for warmer days. What's also cool, in the truest sense of the word, is that it cools down the skin's temperature up to -2,3degree. Its magic.

I received the shade 02 Beige Rose, which unfortunately is too dark for my skin tone. It's very obvious when swatched on my arm and you are also able to see it on my face, because it darkens on the skin. But I wore it a couple times at home and must say, that the lasting power of this is quite impressive. It fades evenly and leaves no weird dark stains behind. Right now there are four shades available in Germany (six shades in other countries) and retail for 43€ at Douglas. Good news: Once you purchased the whole thing, you can simply get a new cushion and replace the old in the original packaging. Refill cushions retail for about 30€ each.

Das zweite Produkt meines Testpakets war ein Deluxesample der Hypnôse Drama Mascara. Das Bürstchen gefällt mir ziemlich gut, nimmt aber sehr viel Produkt auf. Da meine Wimpern grundsätzlich nur mit wasserfester Mascara zurecht kommen, ist auch die Hypnose Drama ein klein wenig zu nass und damit zu schwer, um meinen Wimpern Schwung zu geben oder zu halten. Ich habe eine Menge Produkt abstreifen müssen, damit nicht alles an Volumen flöten geht. Gleich nach dem Auftragen war das Ergebnis echt schön, aber kaum hatte ich zweimal geblinzelt ist mein Wimpernzangenschwung auch schon über den Jordan gegangen. Ich kann mir aber sehr gut vorstellen, dass Beauties, die von Natur aus mit geschwungenen Wimpern gesegnet wurden, sehr gut mit der Hypnôse Drama arbeiten können. 

P.S. Auf den Bildern unten ist mal mein linkes und mal mein rechtes Auge zu sehen. Ich habe die Mascara gleich auf dem rechten Auge aufgetragen und erst beim Tuschen gemerkt, dass ich vergessen habe vorher/nachher Bilder zu machen. Dafür musste dann das linke Auge herhalten. Und die Lichtverhältnisse haben sich auch ständig verändert. Und beim letzten Foto hatte ich dann auch noch eine Wimper im Auge und habe nicht erkannt, dass ich nicht richtig fokussiert habe^^

As I already mentioned, I also received a deluxe sample of Lancôme's Hypnôse Drama Mascara. It has been around for a long time now, but somehow I never found the necessity to give it a go. So when Douglas sent it to me for review I finally got a chance to test it. I curled my lashes for a few minutes and applied a first coat of Hypnôse Drama. The brush looked promising, but there was so much product on it, that I had to wipe off a whole lot of it first. Right after the first coat my lashes looked great. They were curled and seemed longer. But just one blink of an eye later, all the magic  was gone and my stubborn lashes found their way back straight to reality (pun intended). They just can't handle non waterproof mascaras and the Hypnose Drama is no exception. But I can see a lot of people with naturally curled lashes fall in love with it.
P.S. In the pictures below you will notice that in some of them you see my left eye and in others you see my right eye. I forgot to take before/after pictures of my right eye, because I applied the mascara immediately after I got. While applying it to my right eye I just realized that I need some "before" pictures and so I used my left eye as a reference for bare and curled lashes. Long story and its not the end yet. And the lightning that day changed about one thousand times in a minute, thats why some pics are more red or yellow toned. And by the end a lash had fallen into my eye and I didn't realize that the pictures taken were blurry. #beautybloggerproblems^^

Stuff I love: ck one color 3 in 1 Face Make-up SPF 8 Foundation

Nachdem ich schon dabei bin mein zweites Fläschchen der 3 in 1 Face Make-up SPF 8 Foundation von ck one color zu leeren, wird es allerhöchste Zeit endlich mal eine Lobeshymne darauf zu singen. Außerdem steht Eva Chen vom Lucky Magazine auch total darauf und wenn sie es bei Instagram als einen ihrer Favoriten markiert, dann muss da etwas dran sein. 

Vielleicht erinnert sich die/der eine oder andere noch daran, wie ich im April des letzten Jahres schon eine leichte Vorahnung bezüglich der Foundation äußerte, die mir (leider in der falschen Farbe) als Sample beim Kauf meines Pure Color Lipsticks gereicht wurde (hier nochmal zu sehen). Die Konsistenz gefiel mir auf Anhieb und ich wurde neugierig. Einige Zeit später bummelte ich mit Ania durch Düsseldorf, wir stolperten über den CK-Counter bei Karstadt, fielen quasi mit dem Gesicht in den Foundation Pinsel und zack waren wir beide gleichermaßen verliebt. Aber warum ist genau diese Foundation Frodo und darf den Ring tragen? Ganz einfach. Das Finish ist einfach perfekt und hält einiges aus. Schlachten mit Orks und der Marsch zum Schicksalsberg inklusive. Ich bin kein Fan von maskenhaften Foundations, die matt sind und die Haut nicht durchscheinen lassen. Ich bin eher so der getönte Tagescreme-Typ. Natürlich ist meine Haut nicht die einer Märchenprinzessin: Ich habe vergrößerte Poren, leichte Rötungen, dunkle Augenringe und Sommersprossen. Und trotzdem mag ich es, wenn meine Haut unter der Foundation sichtbar ist. Ich sehe einfach ungern geschminkt aus. Macht echt Sinn, wenn man über Beauty bloggt. Könnte man denken, aber wenn man dann so etwas wie "Deine Haut sieht echt gut aus" oder "Foundation? Wo denn?" hört, dann sieht man doch gerne geschminkt ungeschminkt aus. Deswegen ist das ck one color 3 in 1 Face Make-Up meine liebste Foundation.

Also mal von vorn: Ich finde, dass die Verpackung schon ziemlich cool ist. In Schwarz und Weiß gehalten sieht der Flakon ein bisschen wie ein Weltraumei aus. Ein kleines transparentes Fenster zeigt die Farbe der Foundation. In meinem Fall in der Nuance 200 Fair. Ich hatte anfangs die Befürchtung, dass sie etwas zu gelbstichig für mich sein könnte, aber sie passt sich meinem Hautton perfekt an. Die Konsistenz ist für mich ein Hybrid aus Gel und Creme und sorgt für ein transparentes Finish. Schön ausgedrückt könnte man es mit ein wenig Hokuspokus auch so beschreiben:

Der enthaltende SPF 8 ist natürlich etwas dürftig, aber immer noch besser als gar kein Sonnenschutz. Meine Haut sieht mit der Foundation einfach ziemlich lange, ziemlich gut aus und wird optimal mit Feuchtigkeit versorgt. Meistens pudere ich auch kaum ab, nicht weil meine T-Zone nicht früher oder später glänzt (aber dafür gibts ja blotting paper), sondern weil das Finish dann etwas dewy wirkt und das ist sowas wie das Nonplusultra. 30ml sind für 28€ zu haben und den Preis definitiv wert.  Das Finish erinnert mich übrigens etwas an Vitalumiére Aqua von Chanel oder ich beschreibs mal so: damit kann ich I woke up like this sagen und alle glauben es. Whoop Whoop.

I promised to talk about my favorite foundation some time ago and now that I'm on my second bottle of it, this post is so overdue. But if you're reading this right now, you will finally get what you've been waiting for. Last year I purchased my first product from the ck beauty line, the Pure Color Lipstick (click here for a little reminder) and received a sample of the said foundation which should become my good skin day in a bottle. The sample's shade was too dark for my skin, but the formula made me curious. So the next time Ania and I stopped by a ck beauty counter we fell in love with the ck one color 3 in 1 Face Make-up Spf 8. But what makes this my favorite foundation? It's the natural and lasting finish it creates. Imagine Frodo when he puts on the ring and becomes invisible, thats what this foundation looks like on my skin. I'm not into foundations which turn your face into a matte mask. I'm more of a tinted moisturizer kind of girl. I mean my skin is far from perfect: I have some visible pores, redness, dark circles and freckles, but I don't want my skin to be all covered up. I want it to look like skin. Actually it looks so natural that people always get that "whaaaat?"-look on their faces when I tell them that I'm wearing a foundation. You know, when they open their eyes very wide and their jaw drops to the floor and stuff. Yes, it's that good. If you don't believe me, then maybe you believe Eva Chen, Lucky magazine editor-in-chief, who featured this particular foundation several times on her instagram. I use it in the shade 200 Fair and most of the time I resist the urge to dust powder over it. Unless I have a very long day ahead of me and in case my skin gets oily I just use some blotting paper. This way I get this kind of dewy finish. Dewy finish, this should ring a bell. Formulawise its somewhere between gel and creme and for sure hydrating. The only downside is that it only contains SPF 8, but its still better than no SPF at all. The ck one foundation is great for everyone looking for a natural finish with sheer coverage. I think Chanel Vitalumiére Aqua is very close. 30ml/1. oz retail for 28€/30$. A decent price for a foundation which you can slap on in the morning, say I woke up like this and people will actually believe it.
