Der OPI Nagellack der Woche: Mimosas For Mr. &Mrs.

Zugegeben. Mimosas For Mr. & Mrs. ist nicht der Nagellack den ich grade auf meinen Nägeln trage, aber ich komme einfach nicht dazu, ihn in angemessenem Licht zu fotografieren. Also müssen wir uns heute mit diesem Schätzchen begnügen. Mimosas For Mr. & Mrs. habe ich vor einiger Zeit schon getragen und habe ihn schon eeewig in meiner Sammlung. Er dürfte einer der ersten Opis sein. Dementsprechend oft kam er schon zum Einsatz und dann wieder nicht. Wir haben so eine on/off-Sache laufen. Es ist kompliziert. Es ist ein leicht transparentes, helles Beige mit leichtem Pfirsicheinschlag, das zu den Klassikern der Soft Shades Reihe zählt. Ich glaube, er kam ursprünglich mit der Wedding oder Honeymoon Kollektion um 2005 (?) auf den Markt. Aber sicher bin ich mir leider nicht. Auf den Bildern unten trage ich drei Schichten Mimosas For Mr. & Mrs. und meinen heiß geliebten Seche Vite Topcoat. Eigentlich stehe ich überhaupt nicht auf Nudelook auf meinen Nägeln, aber wenn man den Lack schichtet, dann ist er eher pastellig als sheer und das mag ich dann schon wieder.


I have to admit that Mimosas For Mr. &Mrs. is not the nail polish I am wearing on my nails right now, but I somehow can't manage to take nice pictures in appropriate lighting. So we have to deal with this pretty neutral for today. Some weeks ago I fell in love with Mimosas For Mr. & Mrs. which actually was one of the first Opi nail polishes in my collection. We have one of these on/off relationships where you fell in and out of love once in a while. Currently we like each other very much. Mimosas For Mr. & Mrs. is a classic nude with a peachy undertone. It is rather sheer, so I applied three coats plus my favorite Seche Vite top coat to achieve this kind of pastel finish you see below. It is now part of Opi's classic Soft Shades range, but I believe that it has been released with their Wedding or Honeymoon collection back in 2005 or so. But I'm not sure though. Whether you like it sheer with visible nail line (well, no) or prefer a more gel like finish (that's more like it), you need this in your collection.

Der OPI Nagellack der Woche: Chillin' Like A Villain

Ich weiß ja nicht wie es euch geht, aber ich assoziiere eher Schwarz oder Grau mit Bösewichten. Aber Pfirsich? Chillin' Like A Villain aus der Muppets Most Wanted Kollektion ist ein helles Pfirsich/Beige mit Gelbstich. Geht noch als Nude durch, ist aber auch auffällig genug um etwas mehr als nur Nude zu sein. Chillin' Like A Villain braucht drei Schichten für volle Deckkraft und eine ruhige Hand, weil er leicht streifig wird. Ich empfehle auf jeden fall auch Topcoat, um eine perfekt glatte Oberfläche zu schaffen. Und dann kann man sich auch mal zurücklehnen und entspannen, so wie es scheinbar auch die Schurken in dem Muppet Film tun.


I don't know about you, but for me typical colors for villains are black or grey or dark green. Maybe I'm wrong, but peach? Obviously yes. Chillin' Like A Villain from Opi's Muppets Most Wanted collection is a light peachy nude with a touch of beige. This is supposed to be a color of Opi's soft shades and well, it fits perfectly. Chillin' Like A Villain's application can be tricky. It needs three coats to be fully opaque and can be a tad streaky after the first coat. Don't you feel like this isn't a villain's color at all? I mean, I'm totally okay with the shade, it's very pretty, but it is definitely more Muppet than villain.
