Der OPI Nagellack der Woche: Espresso your style

Bei diesem Nagellack kann ich nur ins Schwärmen geraten. Espresso your style stand schon ewig und drei Tage ganz oben auf meiner Wunschliste. Als wir am Brüsseler Bahnhof gleich eine Filiale von Planet Parfum entdeckten bin ich gleich zum gut gefüllten Opi-Regal gehechtet und diese Schönheit landete sofort in meiner Einkaufstasche.
Espresso your style aus der Deliciously Dark collection von 2006 (Glaube ich..?). Aus dieser Kollektion sind auch weitere Legenden wie Lincoln Park after dark und Black Onyx hervorgegangen. Espresso ist ein dunkles Braun irgendwo zwischen Kaffee und Kastanie mit einem Hauch Burgunder und deutlichem Lilaanteil. Es schimmert in Gold- und Bronzetönen und hauchfeinen Schimmerpigmenten in Rot, Blau, Silber und Pink (Oder sehe nur ich das..?). Die Bilder können das ganze Farbspektrum wie immer nicht einfangen, aber wer diesen Lack schon einmal live gesehen hat, weiß wie fabelhaft er ist. Es war genau die richtige Entscheidung meine Nägel nach dem Experiment mit Espresso your style wieder aufzuhübschen. Und da es heute wieder mal geschneit hat, war die Farbe goldrichtig um ein bisschen Glamour in den Tag zu zaubern.

I definitely got a crush on this week's nail polish. Espresso your style has been on top of my wish list for ages now. When we arrived in Brussels my first destination was Planet Parfum right at the Grand Central Station. I literally stepped out of the train and rushed into the store to run over to the numerous shelves full of nail polish. Only seconds later this beauty landed in my shopping bag.
Espresso your style has been released with the Deliciously Dark collection in 2006 (I suggest..?) together with legends like Lincoln Park after dark or Black Onyx. It is a dark brown somewhere between coffee and maroon and tendencies of red and purple. It has some gorgeous gold und bronzed shimmer in it (I believe to see red, blue, silver and pink shimmer, too. Or is it just me?). The pictures don´t do Espresso your style justice, but if you have seen this one in real life you know how insanely fabulous it is. After my experiment this one was the perfect color to paint my nails with. Winter came back this day and brought a helluva lot of snow with it, but Espresso your style helped me to see a little bit of sunshine today.

Der OPI Nagellack der Woche: Ruble for your thoughts

Über diesen Post freue ich mich besonders. Denn der Nagellack der Woche ist ganz frisch in meiner Sammlung. Es ist Ruble for your thoughts aus der Russian Collection von Opi. Wie gut mir diese Kollektion gefällt, muss ich nicht weiter erwähnen denke ich.
Ruble for your thoughts ist ein schimmerndes, kupferfarbenes Mauve-Orange-Braun-Pink. Ziemlich schwierig zu beschreiben, was die Farbe aber nicht weniger schön macht. Die Fotos können leider nicht alle Facetten der Farbe einfangen. Wie so oft...
Nach zwei Schichten ist der Lack schon gut deckend und ein wenig streifig, dreimal aufgepinselt wird er allerdings perfekt. Topcoat empfehle ich wie immer für die Haltbarkeit und den wunderschönen Glanz.
Ruble for your thoughts ist eine fabelhafte Herbst/Winterfarbe, die bestens zu Dunkelblau, Brauntönen, Weiß und Gold aussieht. Warum hat Opi die Farbe noch gleich aus dem Sortiment genommen....?


Iam truly happy about this week's post, because the nail polish I'm talking about today is brand new to my collection. This week's Opi is Ruble for your thoughts from the Russian Collection. I don't think that I have to mention how much I like all the colors that have been released with it.
Ruble for your thoughts is a shimmering, copperish mauve with hints of brown and orange and pink in it. It is very difficult to describe, but that doesn't make it less pretty. The fotos below can hardly capture all colors of it. Unfortunately this happens too often...
I used three coats of it and a topcoat to achieve this perfectly opaque and shiny finish (it definitely looks better with three coats, because of that little streaking tendency).
Ruble for your thoughts is perfect for the fall and winter season and looks gorgeous with browns, whites, navy blue and gold.
So why exactly is this one discontinued..?
