This week's nail polish is a favorite in my stash. It's just breathtaking. German-icury by Opi from Opi's Germany collection 2012 has a black base and tons of burgundy shimmer. It's so fall appropriate and festive and reminds me of a glazed apple you see on the christmas markets here in Germany. It looks as if the shimmer is locked in under a heavy coat of shiny top coat. I received a lot of compliments this week. People seem to like shimmery, vampy colors like German-icure by Opi. I wish the pictures could show you how beautiful this shade really is, but the sun goes down so early right now and the daylight is just grey...

Danke-Shiny Red is a perfect Christmas nail polish. I love such candy cane or love apple colors. The shimmer is so intense that it creates this lit from within look. Danke-Shiny Red from last year's Germany collection is also great for getting into the holiday spirit (that's why I have several reds like Danke-Shiny Red).
It is nicely pigmented and the formula is really a gift: You can get away with just one coat and I recommend adding top coat to intensify the shimmer. How many more weeks to go till Christmas? What ever, I'm ready!

Der OPI Nagellack der Woche: Deutsch You Want Me Baby?

Danke, OPI.

Fall is here. And with fall there is rain and cold wind. Meh. So I needed something to keep me warm from the inside (more tea!) and something to cheer me up every time I look at it. Deutsch You Want Me Baby? from the Germany collection that has been released in fall/winter 2012 is just the right choice. It's like fall in a bottle. The color of beautiful fall leaves and pumpkins. It's a super shimmery orange with red undertones that just glows from within. Although it has a very metallic look to it, it was easy to apply: Two coats for full opacity and no visible brush strokes.
And thanks to OPI the song Don't You Want Me Baby? is stuck in my head and I was singing it all the time while painting my nails. Plus: Deutsch You Want Me Baby? isn't exactly a bad choice for Halloween, don't you think so, too?

Der OPI Nagellack der Woche: Every month is Oktoberfest

O´zapft is!

Oktoberfest is over a long time and so is the release of OPI´s Germany collection which took place in fall 2012, but as the name of this shade suggests: Every month is Oktoberfest! My Oktoberfest is now (not only because its winter, again), but because this shade is one of my favorites. The base is a dark purple with insanely pretty purple, red, blue, gold and silver shimmer. A single word to describe it? WOW!
Two coats are perfect to capture the depth of this one. Shades like this are very hard to photograph, so the pictures can´t really show how pretty Every month is Oktoberfest in real life is...

Tried it with flash..

In what supposed to be "sunlight"...

Looks very reddish in this picture...well, I tried it...
