New soulmate? MAC Mineralize Blush in Warm Soul

Es ist immer wieder ein Phänomen: Man entdeckt ein für sich neues Produkt und plötzlich fragt man sich, wie man bisher ohne leben konnte. So geschehen bei dem Mineralize Blush in der Farbe Warm Soul von MAC. Ich habe das Brautmakeup einer Freundin zum Anlass genommen, um mir ein neues Rouge zuzulegen und auf Warm Soul hatte ich schon ewig ein Auge geworfen. Weil Warm Soul im Standardsortiment von MAC zu finden ist, habe ich immer lieber Limited Editions oder andere Produkte vorgezogen. Jetzt schlage ich die Hände über dem Kopf zusammen und kann nicht fassen, dass es so lange gedauert hat, bis wir zwei zusammengefunden haben. Ich habe Warm Soul seit dem Kauf ungefähr täglich benutzt und obwohl ich matten Texturen meist den Vorzug gebe, bin ich dem Schimmer hier überhaupt nicht abgeneigt. Warm Soul ist eine dieser Farben, die man besitzen sollte, weil sie zu allem passt. Wie schwarze Pumps oder eine schwarze Lederjacke oder eben das kleine Schwarze. Genau das ist es: Warm Soul ist wie das kleine Schwarze, geht einfach immer. Und nun betrachten wir es bitte in seiner vollen Schönheit. 

You know what's funny? When you discover a product that is new to you (but has been sitting on MAC's shelves since the early days of mankind) and you suddenly question how you could exist without it. This pretty much sums up my feelings about the Mineralize Blush in Warm Soul. I have been eyeing it for a long time and finally ordered it. I used a friend's bridal makeup as an excuse to justify my order, by the way. I have used it on a daily basis since it arrived and I'm sure that I won't stop wearing it anytime soon. Warm Soul is like my blush soulmate right now although it has a fine shimmer that would normally scare me off, because I'm more into matte textures. But the shade and the shimmer warm up the cheeks so naturally that Warm Soul is an excellent and foolproof choice that can be paired with any type of makeup. Consider it the little black dress of your blush wardrobe.

Fall Favorites

Jetzt ist der Herbst doch tatsächlich beinahe rum. Ich habe mir ein paar Pumpkin Spice und Lebkuchen Café Lattes gegönnt, meine hellen, sommerlichen Klamotten (die Kiste ist nicht besonders groß) verstaut und verbringe sehr viel Zeit in der Küche mit dem Essen und Backen von Keksen. Wie herrlich ist der Herbst? Meiner Meinung nach: Mega!

Wie andere Blogger auch, teile ich meinen (Beauty-)Schrank in Jahreszeiten ein. Die Sommerfarben und -produkte wandern jetzt in die hintere Reihe und ein paar schöne neue Produkte machen es sich an vorderster Front gemütlich. Pünktlich zum fast-Dezember kommen hier meine Favoriten. Falls ihr euch jetzt fragt, auf welcher Mittelmeerinsel ich lebe: Nordrhein-Westfalen. Das Bild habe ich am allerletzten Sonnenschein-Tag aufgenommen und das ist jetzt gefühlt 100 Tage her.

Christmas is less than one month away, I had a couple of pumpkin spice and gingerbread lattes, wear my scarfs and boots on a daily basis and spend a lot of time in the kitchen snacking on cookie dough: fall is more than in full bloom and it's about time for a fall  and winter favorites round up. You might wonder why the pictures were taken in sunlight by this time of the year and the answer is simple. I took them on the last sunny day which feels like a million days ago. And no, unfortunately I haven't moved to the Bahamas. 

Meine Haut braucht in den kälteren Monaten immer etwas mehr Pflege. Am liebsten bekommt sie die abends. Und auch wenn ich das Midnight Recovery von Kiehl's das ganze Jahr lang nutze, ist es ein Herbstfavorit, weil es jetzt so gut wie täglich zum Einsatz kommt. Es ist leicht und zieht gut ein, gibt meiner Haut aber auch alles an Pflege. Ein absoluter Favorit.

My skin isn't very dry per se, except for some occasional dry patches here and there. But when my skin needs remedy I put my trust in Kiehl's Midnight Recovery. This stuff is heaven-sent. I use it through the year so technically it's not only a fall favorite, but with weather like this I use it daily.

Beim Lippenmakeup setze ich voll auf Rot und Pflaume. Vielleicht sehen hier alle Farben gleich aus, aber ich schwöre, dass es unterschiedliche Töne sind. Da hätten wir den Chanel Rouge Coco in Destinée,  den Chubby Stick Intense von Clinique in Chunkiest Chilli, den Burt's Bees Lip Crayon in Redwood Forest und den Color Bomb Lip Tint von Too Faced in Eastwood Red. Jap, die Rottöne sehen sich schon ziemlich ähnlich... Unter die swatches haben sich auch ein Blush - der Clinique Chubby Stick Cheek Colour Balm in Plumped Up Peony - und der Eyeliner Highliner von Marc Jacobs in Ro(Cocoa) gemischt. 

Mein liebster Highlighter ist nach wie vor der Living Luminizer von rms, aber in der Herbstzeit darf es an manchen Tagen etwas mehr glitzern. Hier kommt das Mineralize Skifinish in Stereo Rose von MAC ins Spiel. Der schimmert schon ordentlich. Wenn der Rest des Makeups dafür dezent bleibt, geht das schon in Ordnung.

Looking at the swatches of my favorite fall lipsticks you can sense a theme there. We have Chanel Rouge Coco Destinèe, Clinique Chubby Stick Intense in Chunkiest Chilli, Burt's Bees Lip Crayon in Redwood Forest and the Too Faced Color Bomb in Eastwood Red. Yes, they're all very similar. I also smuggled in a pretty blush shade here: it's the Clinique Cheek Colour Balm in Plumped Up Peony. A nice way to play up my eyes in the fall, is to line them with the Highliner in Ro(Cocoa) by Marc Jacobs. Although I'm more on the subtle sight of highlighting (the Living Luminizer by rms is my holy grail), I like to amp up that shine once in a while and when I want to shine bright like a diamond I reach for the MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Stereo Rose.

Und schon sind wir bei meinem Lieblings Thema: Nagellack. Zwar schon vorbei, aber mit OPI Every Month is Oktoberfest gibt es immer etwas zu feiern. Schnapps Out of It ist meine neutralste Herbstfarbe. Die Another Day ist die perfekt schimmernde Mischung aus Rot und Orange. Sprung wird aufgepinselt wenn ich etwas mehr Glitzer brauche als gewöhnlich. Deutsch You Want Me Baby ist der herbstlichste Nagellack ever. Er ist Orange und schimmert und Herbstlaub wird neidisch beim Anblick. We'll Always Have Paris ist sowieso einer meiner absoluten Lieblinge und geht immer. 

An easy way to transition from summertime to fall and winter is nail polish. Nothing makes me more happy then put on fresh nail paint. Among my favorites for this time of the year are these: OPI Every Month is Oktoberfest is always a reason to celebrate, even if Oktoberfest is over. Schnapps Out of It is a pretty fall neutral because it's not flat but not in your face either. Die Another Day is the perfect shimmering mix of red and orange. Sprung is a trusted source for some serious sparkle and when you don't want to commit to chunky glitter. Deutsch You Want Me Baby is like the most perfect fall shade ever. Just look at it. It's all there: Pumpkin, Shimmer, fallen leaves. It makes me want to hug it.  And last but not least: We'll Always Have Paris. It's dark and vampy and I love it.

Dufttechnisch darf es im Herbst etwas opulenter und süßer sein. Gucci Première passt hier bestens. Er ist ein wenig süß, ein wenig schwer aber ohne diese "Kopfschmerzenschwere". Wenn es draußen schon so kalt ist, dass man seinen Atem sehen kann, dann flüchte ich schnurstracks ins traute Heim. Und dann darf meine Bude noch intensiver duften als sonst: Absolute Herbstklassiker sind Home Sweet Home und Mandarin Cranberry von Yankee Candle. Anzünden und sich in die Decke kuscheln.

Und ihr so?

Fall requires fall scents. I just can't walk around spritzzing on some citrusy fresh notes. Fall wants heavier and more decadent fragrances. I suggest Gucci's Première. For me it is heavy but without giving me headaches and has a balanced out sweetness to it. Once the days are shorter and you can see your breath because of the cold when your outside, I like to spend more time inside and then I bring on the heavier scents for my home as well. Yankee Candle's Home Sweet Home and Mandarin Cranberry turn any room into a cozy cave.

The one eye shadow to rule them all: MAC Satin Taupe

Von Beautybloggern erwartet man ja irgendwie immer, dass sie ständig top gestylt sind, fabelhafte Haut haben und absurde Lippenfarben und Lidschatten spazieren tragen. In meinem Fall sieht die Realität ganz anders aus: Ich gehe auch mal ungeschminkt raus. Ok, meistens muss wenigstens ein wenig Concealer die dunklen Augenschatten verdecken. Sonst sehe ich aus, als hätte ich die letzten 27 Jahre meines Lebens auf Ibiza gefeiert – ohne Schlaf dazwischen. Meine Haut ist zwar nicht mehr die einer aknefreien 16-Jährigen, aber bis auf die Augenringe und ein paar vergrößerte Poren kann ich mich nicht beschweren. Und bis auf ein paar Rot- und Pinktöne, besteht meine Lippenstiftschublade aus massenweise Rosenholz. Und auch für Lidschatten kann ich mich selten so richtig begeistern. Diese Tage sind vorüber und ich habe die Erinnerung daran mit viel lila Lidschatten im Mülleimer versenkt. Aber natürlich patsche ich auch mit den Fingern in den Urban Decay Naked-Tester und schmiere mir "aaaa" und "boooah schön" rufend die Arme voll, aber aufs Auge kommt davon im Endeffekt wenig. Ich finde, ein Look ist immer so sehr gemacht sobald Lidschatten ins Spiel kommt. Ist im Prinzip mit rotem Lippenstift nicht anders, aber es ist auch eher so eine Gefühlssache. Und trotzdem gibt es eine Ausnahme: Ich besitze mittlerweile nicht mehr viele Lidschatten und die meisten sind noch recht jungfräulich, aber wenn man bei einem schon den Boden sieht, dann sprechen wir hier von großer Liebe. Der eine Lidschatten um sie alle zu knechten ist für mich Satin Taupe von MAC. Diese Farbe ist so großartig, dass ich dafür tatsächlich mal den Lippenstift stehen lasse. Manchmal wird's ganz dezent und nur ein bisschen verwischt und an anderen Tagen wird mit Lidstrich und etwas Schwarz hier und da ein smokey eye draus. 

Warum Satin Taupe so toll ist, ist schnell erklärt: Diese Mischung aus Braun und Grau ist einfach perfekt und der Schimmer macht es nochmal besonders. Und er steht so ziemlich jeder Augenfarbe. Ach Satin Taupe, du schönster aller Lidschatten, lass´ dich nochmal auftragen bevor es mit dir zu Ende geht. 

When most people think of beautbloggers, images of perfect skin and colorful lips and eyes come to mind. And they wouldn't dare to leave the house without makeup. Truth is that there are days when I actually do leave the house without makeup (leave out the concealer, please) if there is a chance that I meet as less people as possible. And the perfect skin myth is relativized by my ultra dark circles and not so invisible pores around my nose. And what's up with the plum lipsticks and yellow eye lids? While my make up drawers house a small variety of red and pink and a whole lot of rosewood lipsticks, the eyeshadow section is–how should I put it–space saving?! I'm not so much into eyeshadow anymore, these days have gone with my teenage years and so often mentioned purple eyeshadow abuse. But there is this one color that will always have a special place in my heart and judging from its condition (hit the pan!) you can see that it's been loved. MAC's Satin Taupe is the one to rule them all. It's somewhere between brown and grey, suits most eye colors and has this fantastical shimmer running through it. Sometimes I use it for a slight wash of color and on other days I pair it with black liner and smudge it around for a lived in smokey eye. Either way it's perfection, trust me.

My everyday makeup

Mein tagtäglicher Look ist eigentlich simpel, erfordert gefühlt auch maximal zehn Minuten, vielleicht fünfzehn, wenn man die fünf Minuten extra fürs Wimpernbiegen berücksichtigt. Dafür dass ich meinen Look so natürlich wie möglich halten möchte, kommt trotzdem einiges an Produkten zusammen. Drapiert zu einem Instagram würdigen Bild staune ich auch nicht schlecht darüber, was da alles zusammenkommt. Und trotzdem sieht es nachher nicht so aus, als hätte ich mein Makeup Schicht für Schicht aufgestpachtelt. Wirklich nicht.

My everyday makeup look is actually pretty basic, but considering the amount of products (nicely organized for an Instagram-worthy shot) you might think otherwise. But believe me, I just need ten, maybe fifteen minutes (lash curling needs extra time) to slap it on and head out the door. And the finish is rather natural looking. 

Los geht's mit der Foundation. Meinen Liebling von ck one color habe ich euch ja hier schon gezeigt und meine Liebe lang und breit bekundet. Nochmal in Kurzfassung: Sieht aus wie Haut. Punkt. 

Als nächstes muss der Concealer all das in meinem Gesicht kaschieren, was die Foundation alleine nicht schafft. In erster Linie sind da meine dunkelblauen Augenringe. Die sind leider auch da wenn ich 24 Stunden Schlaf hatte. Also wird der Maybelline Löscher überall dort aufgetragen, wo es brennt (den konnte ich mir nicht verkneifen, sorry). Ohne Rouge verlasse ich grundsätzlich nicht das Haus, weil meine natürliche Hautfarbe die seltsame Angewohnheit hat mich tot aussehen zu lassen. Deswegen wird mit dem Clinique Chubby Stick Cheek Colour Balm in Amp'd Up Apple schwupps etwas künstliche Wangenröte aufgetupft und ich erschrecke gleich ein paar Menschen weniger auf der Straße. An manchen Tagen fühle ich mich extra fancy und highlighte meine Wangenknochen (oder eben dort wo ich sie vermute) ein wenig mit  dem Mineralize Skinfinish in Adored von MAC. Das Highlighten und Konturieren ist irgendwie nicht so richtig mein Ding. Nicht dass mein Gesicht es nicht nötig hätte, Gott nein,  etwas Struktur hat noch niemanden geschadet, aber ich hab einfach noch nicht die richtigen Produkte für mich gefunden. 

It all starts with the right foundation. I already raved about my favorite one from ck one color here and it's still the one I'm using on a daily basis because it just looks like skin. Maybelline's The Eraser concealer conceals all my imperfections and hardcore dark circles. A bit of blush is a must for me. My corpse like face just needs some fresh touch of color to look awake in the morning. I know I talked about it before and before, but what can I say? Clinique's Chubby Stick Cheek Colour balm in Amp'd Up Apple is my perfect everyday cheek color. On some days I feel extra fancy and use a highlighter, like the MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Adored right where I think my cheekbones are. I have to admit that I'm not so much into that highlight and contour craze like everybody else. It's not like my face isn't craving some texture, I just haven't found the right products for me yet.

Aber weiter zur nächsten Baustelle: 

Für meine Augenbrauen benutze ich den ultragünstigen Eyebrow Liner von H&M in Light Brown. Danach trage ich eine Lidschattenbase, z.B den 24Hour Photo Finish Shadow Primer von Smashbox auf. Ich trage zwar nur etwas Eyeliner, aber meine Augenlider sind ölig und essen Augenmakeup durch die Lidfalte zum Frühstück. Deswegen die Base. Sicher ist sicher.  Als nächstes folgt ein dezenter Lidstrich nah am oberen Wimpernkranz. Der wird dann noch etwas gesmudgt und verdichtet so meine Wimpern etwas. Urban Decays 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Demolition eignet sich dafür hervorragend. Er sieht natürlich aus und bleibt den ganzen Tag über an Ort und Stelle. Habe ihn mal als Goodie zu einer Bestellung bei Douglas bekommen. Thank God für die Goodies von Douglas. Hätte ja vorher niemand ahnen können wie gut diese Stifte sind. 

Meine Wimpern sind neben den Augenringen meine großen Sorgenkinder. Sie sind kurz, spärlich gesäht und gerade. Sie in Form zu biegen erfordert Muskelkraft und Geduld. Meine aktuelle Wimpernzange habe ich bei TKMaxx gefunden. Ich kann leider keinen Vergleich zu Shu Umeras legendärem Eyelash Curler ziehen, weil dieser sich leider immer noch nicht in meinem Besitz befindet, aber ich hatte auf jeden Fall schon schlechtere Exemplare. Und wenn dann die falsche Mascara daherkommt und mir den mühsam erarbeiteten Schwung wieder nimmt, möchte ich manchmal weinen. Deswegen greife ich in 99% der Fälle zu wasserfesten Mascaras. Die hält den Schwung und zur Not auch ein paar Tränen aus. Maybellines The Colossal Go Extreme Volume Waterproof  ist nach wie vor meine erste Wahl im Moment.

On to my eyes. For my eyebrows I use a super affordable Eyebrow Liner in Light Brown by H&M. My greasy eyelids are makeup eaters and therefore I need a primer, just like the 24Hour Photo Finish Shadow Primer by Smashbox. Otherwise not even eyeliner will stay in place. Speaking of eyeliner. I don't wear eyeshadow very often, actually only on special occasions, but I like a bit of brown color smudged above my lash line. Therefore I use the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-on Eye pencil in Demolition. I once got this as a goodie when I ordered online from Douglas. Thank God for their goodies. 

Besides my dark circles, my lashes are something like my problem child. They are straight, short and only a few of them exist. Curling them requires some time and effort. I found my eyelash curler at my local TKMaxx and it does a decent job. Unfortunately I can't compare it to the legendary Shu Umera, but I hope I will get there any time soon. Once they are curled the right mascara is crucial. In 99 times of 100 I use a waterproof version, because other formulas just can't hold a damn curl. Right now I use Maybelline's The Colossal Go Extreme Volume Waterproof.

Zu guter letzt kommt immer noch eine dicke Schicht Lipbalm auf den trockenen Mund. Wenn mir mal nach mehr Farbe ist als meine eos Kugel hergibt, dann kommt der Benebalm von Benefit oder der Chubbystick in Bountiful Blush zum Einsatz. Und das wars dann auch. Ernsthaft.

The last step in my everyday beauty routine is a thick layer of lip balm. My lips are always dry and need some serious protection. For moisture only I reach for an eos lip balm  For a little bit more color I use Benefit's Benebalm or Clinique's Chubby Stick in Bountiful Blush. And that's it. Really, that's all I use from monday till friday and sometimes even saturday.

MAC Brooke Shields collection Cherished Cream Color Base

Diesen Monat hat MAC die Brooke Shields Kollektion released und ich musste bei einem Teil unbedingt zuschlagen. Von mir aus hätte es gerne mehr sein können, aber mein Konto und meine Kreditkarte hatten dazu eine andere Meinung. Ausgelacht haben sie mich. Die Cream Color Base in der Farbe Cherished habe ich nach dem ersten Durchsehen der Pressebilder gleich ins Auge gefasst und so wanderte das Duo nach Erscheinen fix ins Körbchen. Und was kann das Produkt so? Die Cream Color Base ist wie der Name schon verrät, eine cremige Allzweckwaffe, die sich toll auf Lippen und Wangen macht. Cherished beinhaltet zwei Farben: Ein leuchtendes Koralle und ein Burgunderrot. Beides sehr hübsche Farben, zu denen ich normalerweise vielleicht nicht gleich gegriffen hätte. Aber weil man hier zwei Fliegen mit einer Klappe schlägt, habe ich mal die Hand aus meiner Komfortzone gestreckt und es nicht bereut. Die Optik der Limited Edition ist sehr schlicht in Grau gehalten und trägt lediglich Brookes Schriftzug in Orange. Das hätte man besser machen können, aber ich bin ja nicht Brooke Shields und ihre Augenbrauen habe ich leider auch nicht. Warum gibt es eigentlich kein einziges Augenbrauenprodukt in dieser Kollektion? Brooke liefert doch DIE Steilvorlage? Vielleicht weil ihre Augenbrauen so perfekt sind und sie die Welt wissen lassen möchte, dass keine Hoffnung für alle anderen besteht. Zurück zum Produkt: Die Farben sind geruchsneutral und gut pigmentiert, können aber auch nur leicht aufgetupft und problemlos verblendet werden und sorgen so für ein transparenteres Finish. Auf den Wangen halten beide Farben einiges aus, auch nachdem das leicht glänzende Finish verschwunden ist (die gute Art Glanz, nicht Speckschwartenglanz). Den ganzen Tag bleibt alles an Ort und Stelle. Auf den Lippen müssen die Farben etwas mehr aushalten, Essen&Trinken und Schmatzer vom Boyfriend natürlich. Daher ist die Haltbarkeit nicht ganz so perfekt, aber das muss ja auch nicht sein. Das Finish auf den Lippen ist schön matt und besonders der Koralleton wirkt weniger grell und schön satt. Auf den Bildern wirken die Farben grundsätzlich viel heller und intensiver als im echten Leben, aber hübsch sind sie trotzdem. Erwähnenswert ist, dass sie meine Lippen leider recht schnell austrocknen. Auch mit etwas Lippenbalsam als Base.
31 Euro hat die Cream Color Base gekostet, was ein recht stolzer Preis für 4,4g Produkt ist, aber für Limited Editions blättert man ja gerne etwas mehr hin.


This month MAC released their Brooke Shields (aka woman with best brows ever) collection here in Germany and there was exactly one item I has kept an eye on since I saw the pictures from first press releases a while ago. I mean, I wanted more than just one product, but my wallet and credit card just laughed at me and said something like "dream on". Maybe I just dreamt that, I don't know. Never mind. So the one thing I purchased from the Brooke Shields collection is the Cream Color Base in Cherished. The Cream Color Base is supposed to work as a blush or lip color. This limited edition's design is very simple. Grey packaging which features Brooke's signature in orange letters. I prefer fancier packaging, but they didn't ask me for advice so now they have to live with it. The Cream Color Base consists of two colors, a coral and burgundy red. They are both gorgeous, although normally they are not my first choice of color (my parents should have named me rosewood to match my love for this color and the majority of my lipstick collection). There is no detectable scent, not even a hint of the typical MAC vanilla scent which comes with their lipsticks. The color payoff is good. The colors are blendable and leave a nice dewy finish on my cheeks. Lasting time when worn as a blush is pretty good. Fading starts after seven hours I would say. On my lips the colors appear more matte and are a little bit drying, even when applying lip balm as a base. Lasting time is shorter when worn on lips, due to eating, drinking and boyfriend kissing. By the way: the colors appear brighter in the pictures than they are in real life. Oh and did you realize that there isn't a single product for brows in this collection? In the Brooke - perfect brows - Shields collection. Can't get over this. Okay, maybe because she has these perfect eye brows and wants us all to know that we can't have them.
The MAC Brooke Shields collection Cream Color Base retails for 31$/31€. It contains 4,4g/0.15 OZ of product. A bit pricey, but I guess every MAC lover is willing to spend some extra money when it comes to limited edition stuff. Am I right?

Was nun folgt ist eine Bilderflut, die meine neusten Zugänge aus der Beautyabteilung zeigt. Im  Prinzip ist alles im Standardsortiment erhältlich, also muss niemand gleich vor der nächsten Parfümerie kampieren, um  etwas zu ergattern ;) Also einfach zurücklehnen und sich berieseln lassen.

Bei den Chubby Sticks von Clinique scheiden sich ja die Geister. Fans auf der einen Seite und Kopfschüttler auf der anderen. Ich gehöre eher zum ersten Lager. Mein Chubby Stick in der Farbe Mega Melon hat sich verabschiedet und so wurde es Zeit für Bountiful Blush. So hübsch. Perfekt für jeden Tag. Weil ich direkt bei Clinique bestellt habe, habe ich einen guten Promocode genutzt und dafür freien Versand und ein kleines Bonus Set erhalten. Das Set besteht aus Minigrößen der all about eyes Augencreme, der moisture surge Pflegecreme und des super balm moisturizing lip gloss in der Farbe currant.

Manchmal surfe ich stundenlang auf Sephora.com und packe mir den Warenkorb voll mit Dingen, die wir hier nicht haben. Es ist eigentlich auch immer etwas von Philosophy dabei. Dann träume ich und stelle mir vor, wie das Vanilla Birthday Cake Duschgel wohl riechen mag und dann läuft mir das Wasser im Mund zusammen. Während ich neulich mal wieder träumte, habe ich bei TkMaxx das granny's apple pie shampoo, shower gel & bubble bath entdeckt und musste es eintüten. Wo ist das Geruchsinternet wenn man es braucht? Das riecht wirklich nach Apfelkuchen. Nicht nach künstlichem Apfelkuchen oder so in etwa Apfelkuchen. Nein, es riecht nach warmem Apfelkuchen (keine Anspielung auf American Pie an dieser Stelle), der grad frisch aus dem Ofen kommt. Wahnsinn. Und jetzt möchte ich echten Kuchen. Mist. Auf die Tastatur gesabbert.

I often wondered why there are no Philosophy products available in Germany. When I search Sephora's online shop for all the things we don't have, I always wanted to have one of Philosophy's 3 in 1 products. TKMaxx answered my prayers, so it seems. At least that's where I found granny's apple pie shampoo, shower gel & bubble bath. I'm not kidding when I say, that I have to keep myself from drinking it. It smells like real apple pie. Not artificial or just sweet like others. It's granny's apple pie in a bottle. Or a slice of heaven packed in plastic.

Wann weiß man dass man einen großartigen Boyfriend? Genau, wenn er einem das MAC Powder Blush in Mocha schenkt, das schon lange auf der Wunschliste steht. Und wann weiß man, dass man den allerbesten Boyfriend der Welt hat? Richtig, wenn er sich gemerkt hat, dass man irgendwann in einem Nebensatz "Malice von Chanel muss ich auch haben" gesagt hat und dann genau dieses Rouge besorgt. Was soll ich sagen, der Mann weiß was er tut.

Did I mention, that my boyfriend is THE best boyfriend ever? No, well it's about time! For our anniversary we decided to surprise each other with things from our wish lists. The MAC powder blush in Mocha has been on my wish list forever. But he wanted to put a little extra smile on my face and got me Chanel's Malice powder blush as well. I just once mentioned it while talking to a friend and I didn't thought that he was paying attention at all. He did and now Malice and Mocha have found a new home in my blush collection. They fit in just right.

Neulich lief bei Douglas eine nette Aktion zum Tag des Kusses: Für jede Beautybestellung ab 15€ gab es einen Clinique Long Last Lipstick Soft Shine in der Farbe All Heart gratis dazu. Da ich sowieso Parfum für meine Mama bestellen wollte und ich den Eclat Minute von Clarins schon länger im Warenkorb liegen hatte (und es auf diesen auch noch Rabatt gab), griff ich zu.
Der Eclat Minute ist ja schon länger ein Dauerbrenner auf Blogs und überhaupt. So richtig angefeixt hat mich allerdings erst die liebe Brini (wie so oft in letzter Zeit) und nun trage ich meinen Lip Perfector in der Farbe Rosewood Shimmer (Überraschung) mindestens ein mal täglich auf.

Den Long Last Lipstick Soft Shine in All Heart finde ich gar nicht mal so schlecht. Die Farbe ist hübsch, hat aber auch ein wenig 90s vibe. Durch den leichten Schimmer vielleicht? Ich stelle mir dazu mom jeans, ein bauchfreies Top und Musik von Salt 'n' Pepa vor. Pust it, push it real good.

Some time ago Douglas was offering a full-size Clinique Long Last Lipstick Soft Shine in All Heart as a free gift on all beauty orders above 15€. I wanted to buy my mum's favorite fragrance anyway and so I had another reason to finally get me one of the famous Eclat Minute by Clarins. I had to see for myself if they are worth the hype and what can I say? I apply it once a day. At least. I ordered mine in a shade called rosewood shimmer. It's in the name, I guess. I just love anything rosewood.

The Long Last Soft Shine lipstick in All Heart isn't that bad. I have no issues with the formula, but I feel like the color has a strong 90s vibe. You know when they were wearing brown or shimmering red lip sticks and all kinds of mom jeans and short tops. I believe that the Salt 'n ' Pepa girls liked this one. Applying All Heart while singing push it or something. No?
