My everyday makeup

Mein tagtäglicher Look ist eigentlich simpel, erfordert gefühlt auch maximal zehn Minuten, vielleicht fünfzehn, wenn man die fünf Minuten extra fürs Wimpernbiegen berücksichtigt. Dafür dass ich meinen Look so natürlich wie möglich halten möchte, kommt trotzdem einiges an Produkten zusammen. Drapiert zu einem Instagram würdigen Bild staune ich auch nicht schlecht darüber, was da alles zusammenkommt. Und trotzdem sieht es nachher nicht so aus, als hätte ich mein Makeup Schicht für Schicht aufgestpachtelt. Wirklich nicht.

My everyday makeup look is actually pretty basic, but considering the amount of products (nicely organized for an Instagram-worthy shot) you might think otherwise. But believe me, I just need ten, maybe fifteen minutes (lash curling needs extra time) to slap it on and head out the door. And the finish is rather natural looking. 

Los geht's mit der Foundation. Meinen Liebling von ck one color habe ich euch ja hier schon gezeigt und meine Liebe lang und breit bekundet. Nochmal in Kurzfassung: Sieht aus wie Haut. Punkt. 

Als nächstes muss der Concealer all das in meinem Gesicht kaschieren, was die Foundation alleine nicht schafft. In erster Linie sind da meine dunkelblauen Augenringe. Die sind leider auch da wenn ich 24 Stunden Schlaf hatte. Also wird der Maybelline Löscher überall dort aufgetragen, wo es brennt (den konnte ich mir nicht verkneifen, sorry). Ohne Rouge verlasse ich grundsätzlich nicht das Haus, weil meine natürliche Hautfarbe die seltsame Angewohnheit hat mich tot aussehen zu lassen. Deswegen wird mit dem Clinique Chubby Stick Cheek Colour Balm in Amp'd Up Apple schwupps etwas künstliche Wangenröte aufgetupft und ich erschrecke gleich ein paar Menschen weniger auf der Straße. An manchen Tagen fühle ich mich extra fancy und highlighte meine Wangenknochen (oder eben dort wo ich sie vermute) ein wenig mit  dem Mineralize Skinfinish in Adored von MAC. Das Highlighten und Konturieren ist irgendwie nicht so richtig mein Ding. Nicht dass mein Gesicht es nicht nötig hätte, Gott nein,  etwas Struktur hat noch niemanden geschadet, aber ich hab einfach noch nicht die richtigen Produkte für mich gefunden. 

It all starts with the right foundation. I already raved about my favorite one from ck one color here and it's still the one I'm using on a daily basis because it just looks like skin. Maybelline's The Eraser concealer conceals all my imperfections and hardcore dark circles. A bit of blush is a must for me. My corpse like face just needs some fresh touch of color to look awake in the morning. I know I talked about it before and before, but what can I say? Clinique's Chubby Stick Cheek Colour balm in Amp'd Up Apple is my perfect everyday cheek color. On some days I feel extra fancy and use a highlighter, like the MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Adored right where I think my cheekbones are. I have to admit that I'm not so much into that highlight and contour craze like everybody else. It's not like my face isn't craving some texture, I just haven't found the right products for me yet.

Aber weiter zur nächsten Baustelle: 

Für meine Augenbrauen benutze ich den ultragünstigen Eyebrow Liner von H&M in Light Brown. Danach trage ich eine Lidschattenbase, z.B den 24Hour Photo Finish Shadow Primer von Smashbox auf. Ich trage zwar nur etwas Eyeliner, aber meine Augenlider sind ölig und essen Augenmakeup durch die Lidfalte zum Frühstück. Deswegen die Base. Sicher ist sicher.  Als nächstes folgt ein dezenter Lidstrich nah am oberen Wimpernkranz. Der wird dann noch etwas gesmudgt und verdichtet so meine Wimpern etwas. Urban Decays 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Demolition eignet sich dafür hervorragend. Er sieht natürlich aus und bleibt den ganzen Tag über an Ort und Stelle. Habe ihn mal als Goodie zu einer Bestellung bei Douglas bekommen. Thank God für die Goodies von Douglas. Hätte ja vorher niemand ahnen können wie gut diese Stifte sind. 

Meine Wimpern sind neben den Augenringen meine großen Sorgenkinder. Sie sind kurz, spärlich gesäht und gerade. Sie in Form zu biegen erfordert Muskelkraft und Geduld. Meine aktuelle Wimpernzange habe ich bei TKMaxx gefunden. Ich kann leider keinen Vergleich zu Shu Umeras legendärem Eyelash Curler ziehen, weil dieser sich leider immer noch nicht in meinem Besitz befindet, aber ich hatte auf jeden Fall schon schlechtere Exemplare. Und wenn dann die falsche Mascara daherkommt und mir den mühsam erarbeiteten Schwung wieder nimmt, möchte ich manchmal weinen. Deswegen greife ich in 99% der Fälle zu wasserfesten Mascaras. Die hält den Schwung und zur Not auch ein paar Tränen aus. Maybellines The Colossal Go Extreme Volume Waterproof  ist nach wie vor meine erste Wahl im Moment.

On to my eyes. For my eyebrows I use a super affordable Eyebrow Liner in Light Brown by H&M. My greasy eyelids are makeup eaters and therefore I need a primer, just like the 24Hour Photo Finish Shadow Primer by Smashbox. Otherwise not even eyeliner will stay in place. Speaking of eyeliner. I don't wear eyeshadow very often, actually only on special occasions, but I like a bit of brown color smudged above my lash line. Therefore I use the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-on Eye pencil in Demolition. I once got this as a goodie when I ordered online from Douglas. Thank God for their goodies. 

Besides my dark circles, my lashes are something like my problem child. They are straight, short and only a few of them exist. Curling them requires some time and effort. I found my eyelash curler at my local TKMaxx and it does a decent job. Unfortunately I can't compare it to the legendary Shu Umera, but I hope I will get there any time soon. Once they are curled the right mascara is crucial. In 99 times of 100 I use a waterproof version, because other formulas just can't hold a damn curl. Right now I use Maybelline's The Colossal Go Extreme Volume Waterproof.

Zu guter letzt kommt immer noch eine dicke Schicht Lipbalm auf den trockenen Mund. Wenn mir mal nach mehr Farbe ist als meine eos Kugel hergibt, dann kommt der Benebalm von Benefit oder der Chubbystick in Bountiful Blush zum Einsatz. Und das wars dann auch. Ernsthaft.

The last step in my everyday beauty routine is a thick layer of lip balm. My lips are always dry and need some serious protection. For moisture only I reach for an eos lip balm  For a little bit more color I use Benefit's Benebalm or Clinique's Chubby Stick in Bountiful Blush. And that's it. Really, that's all I use from monday till friday and sometimes even saturday.

Stuff I love: ck one color 3 in 1 Face Make-up SPF 8 Foundation

Nachdem ich schon dabei bin mein zweites Fläschchen der 3 in 1 Face Make-up SPF 8 Foundation von ck one color zu leeren, wird es allerhöchste Zeit endlich mal eine Lobeshymne darauf zu singen. Außerdem steht Eva Chen vom Lucky Magazine auch total darauf und wenn sie es bei Instagram als einen ihrer Favoriten markiert, dann muss da etwas dran sein. 

Vielleicht erinnert sich die/der eine oder andere noch daran, wie ich im April des letzten Jahres schon eine leichte Vorahnung bezüglich der Foundation äußerte, die mir (leider in der falschen Farbe) als Sample beim Kauf meines Pure Color Lipsticks gereicht wurde (hier nochmal zu sehen). Die Konsistenz gefiel mir auf Anhieb und ich wurde neugierig. Einige Zeit später bummelte ich mit Ania durch Düsseldorf, wir stolperten über den CK-Counter bei Karstadt, fielen quasi mit dem Gesicht in den Foundation Pinsel und zack waren wir beide gleichermaßen verliebt. Aber warum ist genau diese Foundation Frodo und darf den Ring tragen? Ganz einfach. Das Finish ist einfach perfekt und hält einiges aus. Schlachten mit Orks und der Marsch zum Schicksalsberg inklusive. Ich bin kein Fan von maskenhaften Foundations, die matt sind und die Haut nicht durchscheinen lassen. Ich bin eher so der getönte Tagescreme-Typ. Natürlich ist meine Haut nicht die einer Märchenprinzessin: Ich habe vergrößerte Poren, leichte Rötungen, dunkle Augenringe und Sommersprossen. Und trotzdem mag ich es, wenn meine Haut unter der Foundation sichtbar ist. Ich sehe einfach ungern geschminkt aus. Macht echt Sinn, wenn man über Beauty bloggt. Könnte man denken, aber wenn man dann so etwas wie "Deine Haut sieht echt gut aus" oder "Foundation? Wo denn?" hört, dann sieht man doch gerne geschminkt ungeschminkt aus. Deswegen ist das ck one color 3 in 1 Face Make-Up meine liebste Foundation.

Also mal von vorn: Ich finde, dass die Verpackung schon ziemlich cool ist. In Schwarz und Weiß gehalten sieht der Flakon ein bisschen wie ein Weltraumei aus. Ein kleines transparentes Fenster zeigt die Farbe der Foundation. In meinem Fall in der Nuance 200 Fair. Ich hatte anfangs die Befürchtung, dass sie etwas zu gelbstichig für mich sein könnte, aber sie passt sich meinem Hautton perfekt an. Die Konsistenz ist für mich ein Hybrid aus Gel und Creme und sorgt für ein transparentes Finish. Schön ausgedrückt könnte man es mit ein wenig Hokuspokus auch so beschreiben:

Der enthaltende SPF 8 ist natürlich etwas dürftig, aber immer noch besser als gar kein Sonnenschutz. Meine Haut sieht mit der Foundation einfach ziemlich lange, ziemlich gut aus und wird optimal mit Feuchtigkeit versorgt. Meistens pudere ich auch kaum ab, nicht weil meine T-Zone nicht früher oder später glänzt (aber dafür gibts ja blotting paper), sondern weil das Finish dann etwas dewy wirkt und das ist sowas wie das Nonplusultra. 30ml sind für 28€ zu haben und den Preis definitiv wert.  Das Finish erinnert mich übrigens etwas an Vitalumiére Aqua von Chanel oder ich beschreibs mal so: damit kann ich I woke up like this sagen und alle glauben es. Whoop Whoop.

I promised to talk about my favorite foundation some time ago and now that I'm on my second bottle of it, this post is so overdue. But if you're reading this right now, you will finally get what you've been waiting for. Last year I purchased my first product from the ck beauty line, the Pure Color Lipstick (click here for a little reminder) and received a sample of the said foundation which should become my good skin day in a bottle. The sample's shade was too dark for my skin, but the formula made me curious. Actually it looks so natural that people always get that "whaaaat?"-look on their faces when I tell them that I'm wearing a foundation. You know, when they open their eyes very wide and their jaw drops to the floor and stuff. Yes, it's that good. If you don't believe me, then maybe you believe Eva Chen, Lucky magazine editor-in-chief, who featured this particular foundation several times on her instagram. I use it in the shade 200 Fair and most of the time I resist the urge to dust powder over it. Unless I have a very long day ahead of me and in case my skin gets oily I just use some blotting paper. This way I get this kind of dewy finish. Dewy finish, this should ring a bell. Formulawise its somewhere between gel and creme and for sure hydrating. The only downside is that it only contains SPF 8, but its still better than no SPF at all. The ck one foundation is great for everyone looking for a natural finish with sheer coverage. I think Chanel Vitalumiére Aqua is very close. 30ml/1. oz retail for 28€/30$. A decent price for a foundation which you can slap on in the morning, say I woke up like this and people will actually believe it.

Garnier skin naturals Mizellen Reinigungswasser

Mizellenreiniger sind ja schon seit einiger Zeit nicht mehr aus der Beautyroutine vieler Beautybegeisterter, Models, Makeupartists und Blogger wegzudenken. Mich hat der Hype erst sehr spät gepackt. Aus zwei ganz einfachen Gründen: Zum einen trage ich immer wasserfeste Mascara, die zum Entfernen natürlich auch einen speziellen Reiniger benötigt und zum anderen beschränkte sich mein restliches Makeup früher meist auf etwas Bronzer und Blush. So richtig lieben gelernt habe ich Foundation, Puder und Highlighter erst viel später. Für das Entfernen meines Makeups rund um die Augen hatte ich also sowieso schon ein separates Produkt und das Gesicht wurde dann einfach nur noch mit einem praktischen Tuch von der künstlichen Röte des Rouges befreit und anschließend mit Reinigungsschaum blitzeblank geschrubbt. Jetzt aber ist alles anders. Besonders seitdem das ck one color 3 in1 Face Makeup in mein Leben getreten ist (die review dazu liegt schon ewig in der Entwürfe-Schublade. Die wird demnächst online gehen, versprochen). Seit dieser Wende achte ich auf eine optimale Reinigung und spätestens seitdem dürfen Mizellenreiniger bei mir zum Einsatz kommen. 

Als Mitglied der Garnier Blogger Academy durfte ich das neue Garnier Skin Naturals Mizellen Reinigungswasser für Normale und Empfindliche Haut vorab testen (vielen Dank an Garnier!) und möchte nun kundtun wie es mir damit ergangen ist. 

Zunächst ein paar Infos zum Produkt: Mizellen sind reinigende Wirkstoffe, die so konzipiert sind, dass sie Make-up und Talg (auf Wiedersehen, glänzende T-Zone!) auf der Haut wie ein Magnet anziehen und sicher entfernen. Die Reinigung ist besonders schonend, weil das Reinigungswasser ohne Parfum auskommt und daher auch für die Haut von empfindlichen Beauties gedacht ist. Das Entfernen von Lippen-, Augen- Gesichtsmake-up geht ganz fix und die Haut wird zusätzlich mit dem enthaltenen Moringa-Extrakt gepflegt. 

Das Mizellen Reinigungswasser gibt es in drei verschiedenen Ausführungen, abgestimmt auf normale, trockene und Mischhaut. 

Die Anwendung ist auch denkbar unkompliziert: Ein paar Tropfen auf ein Wattepad geben und damit über das Gesicht, die Lippen- und Augenpartie streichen. Danach einen Blick auf das Wattepad werfen und sich erschrecken. Da kommt gut was runter. Je nachdem was man am Morgen alles aufgepinselt hat, fühlt man sich nach dem Abschminken plötzlich so nackt. So bunt kann das Wattepad unter Umständen aussehen.

Aber seht selbst. Ich habe meinen Handrücken auf den Bildern unten zu Testzwecken mit einer kleinen Höhlenmalerei verziert. 

How do you take off your make up at night? I always use a special bi-phase eye make up remover to take off my waterproof mascara, because no waterproof mascara equals no curled lashes. And because I learned to appreciate foundation, powder and highlighter only what I consider recently I used to remove my hint of blush or bronzer with facial cleansing wipes followed by a cleansing foam or gel. I  know that I'm late to the party and that nearly all beauty affiliated girls and boys, models, makeup artists and bloggers out there are using micelle cleansing solution for years, but I never gave it a try. Sometimes I belong to the don't believe the hype group. Until I discovered my favorite foundation 3 in 1 Face Makeup by ck one color and suddenly felt the urge to take it off with something more effective than just cleasing wipes. 

As a member of Garnier's Blogger Academy I was invited to test their Garnier skin naturals Mizellen Reinigungswasser aka Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water for normal and sensitive skin (thanks, Garnier!).

Here some information on what a micellar cleansing water is and what to do with it: Micelles are tiny monsters eating your make up. Just kidding, kind of. Micelles are molecules which attract make up and impurities like a magnet. Micellar cleansing solutions are suitable for even super sensitive skin because there is no perfume added. It also hydrates and refreshes the skin. 

It can be used for the removal of all kinds of face, eye and lip makeup. Simply use a couple of drops of the solution on a cotton pad and watch the magic happen. Say bye to a clean, white cotton pad and see what has been on your face all day. Sometimes its disgusting and sometimes its like a piece of art. For purposes of demonstration I did some primitive cave painting on the back of my hand to show you what micelles can do (and what not).

Das Ergebnis nach einem! swipe. Das satte Rot des ck one color Lippenstifts ist nur noch ein Stain, der NYX Kajal ist zum größten Teil auch entfernt. Nur die Maybelline Mascara und der Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Eye Pencil halten noch stand. 

Here you see what happened after the first swipe. From red lipstick to barely there red stain and the NYX Slim Eye Pencil is also nearly gone. Bobbi Brown's Long-Wear Eye Pencil is indeed long lasting. 

Nach drei swipes hat sich der Lippenstift in das Wattepadjenseits verabschiedet und den NYX Kajal gleich mitgenommen. Der Bobbi Brown Eye Pencil hielt sich wacker, musste beim fünften Anlauf aber auch die Farbmoleküle in die Mizellenkoffer packen und verschwinden. An dem Mascaraswatch habe ich hier schon gerieben wie der Teufel und er blieb hartnäckig. Ist aber nicht weiter schlimm, weil ich hier auch nicht erwartet habe, dass wasserfeste Mascara entfernt wird.

Insgesamt eine ziemlich gute Leistung, auch wenn es bestimmt das eine oder andere Produkt gibt, dass etwas mehr "Anstrengung" und Zeit benötigt um vollständig entfernt zu werden. Die Verträglichkeit des Garnier Mizellenwasser ist bei mir auf jeden fall top und die Haut fühlt sich danach, im Vergleich zu beispielsweise Reinigungstüchern, auch etwas "geputzter" an. 

Die sehr großzügige 400ml-Flache gibt es für ca. 5€ im Drogeriemarkt eures Vertrauens und sicherlich auch im gut sortierten Beautyregal des größeren Supermarkts um die Ecke. Also hin, ausprobieren und dann ein abstraktes Gemälde in eurem Wattepad bestaunen.

After three swipes there is no more stain and the NYX Eye Pencil is also gone for good. The Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Eye Pencil lasted well, but waved good bye after wive swipes. I had to rub of the waterproof mascara, but that's totally fine. I don't expect any micellar cleansing solution to remove it. 

Not bad at all Garnier. Although some products (talking to you Bobbi Brown) need a little more effort to be removed (which is actually a good thing), I'm quite impressed. My skin feels refreshed and cleaner compared to my regular method of taking off my makeup with cleansing wipes. A bottle of Garnier's Micellar Cleansing Solution contains 400ml and retails for about 5€ at your local drugstore. Go get it and give these micellar makeup eating monsters a try.

New in: Beauty - birthday gift edition

Mein Geburtstag ist zwar jetzt schon ein paar Tage oder auch einen Monat her, aber meine fabelhaften Geschenke aus dem Bereich Beauty möchte ich der Menschheit nicht vorenthalten. Eigentlich brauchte ich gar keine neuen Pflegeprodukte. Ha-ha. Wann habe ich jemals etwas nicht gebraucht? Außerdem mag ich diese Pflegeserie von Lancaster sehr gerne. Deshalb wanderten neben der Foundation und der samples oben auf den Bildern zu sehen auch noch der Lancaster Softening Protecting Toner und der Softening Cleansing Foam ins Einkaufskörbchen.

To be honest, there was no actual need to get me the Lancaster Softening Protecting Toner and Softening Cleansing Foam, but sometimes the things you think you don't need are the best ones. So I took them, the foundation and all the samples you see above home with me and was one happy beauty junkie that day.

Kennt ihr, dass wenn ihr immer wieder an einem Parfum schnuppert und es auch immer an anderen riecht und euch denkt "Ach ja, das wollte ich doch auch noch haben". So ging es mir jetzt schon ewig mit Especially Escada Elixir. Eigentlich war das auch ein Geburtstagsgeschenk an mich selbst, aber weil meine Eltern ein bisschen ratlos waren was meine Wünsche in diesem Jahr angeht, haben sie die Rechnung dafür übernommen.

That's the case with Especially Escada Elixir. I can't recall how often I wanted to buy this fragrance and somehow never did. Until last month when my parents gave it to me as a birthday gift after I purchased it for myself and handed them the bill for it.

Wenn ich die kleinen Nagelhautpflegedöschen nicht ständig verlieren würde, hätte ich davon sicher auch unzählige Exemplare. Aber irgendwie verschwinden die immer in meinen Handtaschen aka Bermudadreiecken. Die liebe Brini hatte scheinbar Mitleid und hat mir dieses zuckersüße Tips and Toes Kit von Burt's Bees besorgt. Die cuticle butter kannte ich schon und mag sie total. Auch die Almond & Milk Hand Cream ist mir nicht unbekannt und duftet so himmlisch nach Marzipantörtchen, dass ich meine Hände gerne abschlecken möchte. Aber ich kann mich grad noch so zusammenreißen. Die restliche Produkte des Tips and Toes Sets wurden auch schon ausprobiert und für gut befunden.

If you know me than you can say for sure that I love a good hand cream. My collection is huge. My collection of cuticle balms isn't, because I tend to loose this little tins as soon as I have them for a week or so. One day I will find them all in one of my handbags or maybe one in every single hand bag. We'll see. This lovely Burt's Bees Tips and Toes Kit was a gift from Brini. I think she has some mind reading skills. How did she know that I lost my cuticle balm just recently? Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream included in the kit is great. So is the Almond & Milk Hand Cream. It smells like dessert. I want to lick my hands after applying it. Seriously.

Wann braucht man eigentlich keinen Gutschein von Douglas? Das hat sich Ania auch gedacht und mich damit beschenkt. Eine Handseife und Gesichtsmaske hat sie mir auch noch mit ins Tütchen gelegt. Und eine Handmaske gab es auch noch dazu. Handcreme reicht manchmal auch einfach nicht. Schon gar nicht in der Winterzeit.

Den Lip Crayon von Zoeva in der Farbe Tender Rose habe ich mir zwischendurch gegönnt. Es ist eine schöne Alltagsfarbe und reiht sich demnach gut in mein übliches Beuteschema ein. Der doch schon deutliche Glanz den der Stift mitbringt, hat mich allerdings überrascht. Aber es muss ja auch nicht immer alles matt sein.

Zoeva's Lip Crayon is a recent beauty buy. Tender Rose is a nice everyday color, like most of the colors in my collection. It's surprisingly glossy. Have to get used to it, because I'm more into matte colors recently.

Das Hydro-Plumping Re-Texturizing Serum Concentrate von Kiehl's, der Photo Finish Foundation Primer von Smashbox und das Annayake Reinigungstuch gab es als Goodies zu meiner Bestellung bei Douglas. Genauso wie den GinZing Energy-Boosting Moisturizer von Origins. Hätte der noch einen Lichtschutzfaktor, wäre ich so richtig angetan.

Kiehl's Hydro-Plumping Re-Texturizing Serum Concentrate as well as the Photo Finish Foundation Primer by Smashbox and Annayake's Make up Remover Sponge were goodies I got on top of my last Douglas order. As well as the GinZing Energy-Boosting Moisturizer by Origins. I really like this moisturizer, but unfortunately it has no SPF. So please Origins, think about including it.

Überraschung. Eine Handcreme. Die Hand Food Handcreme von Soap&Glory ist ein Kandidat für so ein typisches Hass-Liebe-Ding. Manchmal mag ich den Duft total gerne und manchmal bleibt die Tube tagelang zu. Am liebsten verwende ich die Handcreme übrigens vor dem Schlafen gehen. Dann stört mich der etwas fettige Film in den Handinnenflächen nicht so. Ach und die The Righteous Butter Body Lotion gab es bei jeder Soap & Glory Bestellung dazu. Wie gut ist das?

There it is again. Hand cream. It is a kind of love and hate relationship with the Hand Food hand cream by Soap &Glory. On some days I love the scent and on others I can't stand it. I don't know, it's weird. I like to use it at night so I can stand the slightly greasy feeling it leaves behind. Oh and their The Righteous Butter Body Lotion was a bonus I got, because I ordered the hand cream. Yes, I'm a sucker for goodies.

Zu dem Produkt gibt es nicht viel zu sagen. Batiste macht für mich das beste Trockenshampoo. Ich habe schon zig Dosen geleert und habe immer mindestens ein Back-up auf Lager. Sowohl die großen, als auch die kleinen Dosen tummeln sich in meinem Badezimmer.

There is not much to say about Batiste. I love their Dry Shampoos. They are life and time savers. I always have several back ups of them in my bathroom. I have them in both sizes, travel size and full size. Because you never know when or where you come across a greasy strand. Don't get me wrong, I don't sit there in a restaurant spraying my hair with it like a crazy person, but it's nice to have a small can at hand just in case.

Ich freue mich ja immer über goodies. Aber manchmal bin ich ein bisschen mehr aus dem Häuschen als nur "yaaay". Zum Beispiel wenn Douglas im Newsletter einen Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Demolition zu jeder Bestellung über 39€ verspricht. Dann gehts los. Da wird der Warenkorb schneller gefüllt als ich gucken kann. Und Demolition und ich haben uns richtig angefreundet. Ein kleiner leicht verwischter Lidstrich und schon ists schöner am Morgen.

When Douglas sends me their newsletter, announcing that every order above 39€ gets a free Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Demolition, I immediately start filling that virtual basket. I really like this pencil for a quick, smudged out swipe above my lash line.

Das letzte Geschenk ist von meinem boyfriend, der immer sehr aufmerksam ist. Ich sagte neulich mal "Ich habe noch gar nichts von Burberry in meiner Sammlung. So ein Lip Cover in Antique Rose passt da optimal rein". Und zack schon konnte ich das Päckchen an meinem Geburtstag öffnen und ein Häckchen hinter Burberry in der 'Fehlt noch'-Liste machen. Ist er nicht toll? Und nein, er sieht nicht aus wie alle anderen Lippenstifte in meiner Lippenstiftschublade. Ein Schelm wer sowas denkt. Der sieht nämlich von außen ganz anders aus. Und der riecht auch anders.

The last thing is a birthday gift from my very thoughtful boyfriend. I always think that he overhears sentences like "You know what is really missing in my collection? Burberry. Their Lip Cover in Antique Rose is so pretty". Guess what I got on my bday to complete my collection. Some of you may think that there is nothing special about yet another rosewood colored lipstick, but you're wrong. It has a different packaging than my other lip sticks and has a different scent and the packaging is magnetic and I love it and we belong together. 

ck one color Pure Color Lipstick: 600 must do

Als ich am Dienstag in Düsseldorf war, nutzte ich die Gelegenheit, um den ck one color Counter im Beauty Department von Karstadt aufzusuchen. Ich musste mich schließlich über das fehlende MAC Proenza Schouler Blush hinweg trösten... Außerdem ging mir eine bestimmte Farbe nicht mehr aus dem Kopf. Im Hamburger Karstadt habe ich mir die Farbe 600 must do des Pure Color Lipsticks auftragen lassen und seitdem schwirrte dieses zauberhafte Rot immer irgendwo in meinem Hinterkopf (und ich möchte nichts vorwegnehmen, aber die Farbe hält einfach ewig auf den Lippen!).
Der Pure Color Lipstick steckt in einer schwarz-weißen Verpackung und Umkarton. Der Lippenstift selbst steckt in einer halb matten bzw gummierten und einer glänzenden Oberfläche. Der schwarze Teil ist matt, der obere, weiße Teil ist glänzend. Die Farbe 600 must do ist ein kräftiges, knalliges Rot mit deutlichen, kühlen Untertönen in Pink und leichtem Schimmer. Der Schimmer ist auf den Lippen allerdings unsichtbar. Ich trage eigentlich lieber gedeckte Farben, aber dieses Rot war für mich wirklich ein must do. Ich weiß nicht, ob die Mädels am ck one color Counter sich abgesprochen haben, aber beide sagten, dass dieses Rot meine grünen Augen richtig leuchten lässt. Ich glaube euch das mal und wahrscheinlich hat mich dieses Kompliment auch ein wenig zum Kauf bewogen, weil ich meine Augenfarbe eigentlich gar nicht so sehr mag (tief dunkelbraune Augen sind auch einfach ein Traum) ;) Die Farbe glänzt zunächst ein wenig, "ermattet" aber nach einiger Zeit und sieht dann einfach noch schöner aus. Und sie hält wahnsinnig lange an und das ohne die Lippen übermäßig auszutrocknen. Am Dienstag und Donnerstag habe ich die Farbe den kompletten Nachmittag getragen, dabei gegessen und getrunken und sie verschwand nur minimal und sehr gleichmäßig. Sie hinterlässt auch einen leichten stain auf den Lippen. Ähnlich wie MAC Lippenstifte, duften auch die Pure Color Lipsticks dezent nach Vanille. Von mir gibt es hundert Punkte und must do wird sicher nicht der Letzte seiner Art in meiner Sammlung bleiben.
Erhältlich sind ck one color Produkte in ausgewählten Filialen von Karstadt, im Karstadt online shop und im online shop von Breuninger. Gekostet hat er knapp 19€.
Ein paar Pröbchen gab es auch noch dazu, unter anderem von der ck one color 3 in1 Face Make-up SPF 8 Foundation in der Farbe Sand 300. Die Konsistenz ist klasse. Schön leicht und überhaupt nicht maskenhaft. Die Foundation muss ich mir nochmal näher ansehen.


On tuesday I used my time in Düsseldorf to check out the ck one color counter at their local Karstadt. In Hamburg I fell in love with a red lipstick of their Pure Color Lipstick line and since then I couldn't get that one out of my head. I also needed something to fill-in the missing blush from the MAC Proenza Schouler collection...
The Pure Color Lipsticks have a black and white packaging, which is partially matte, rubberized and black and white and shiny. My color is called 600 must do, a highly pigmented, bright and super saturated red with strong pink undertones and subtle shimmer. Actually, the shimmer is so subtle, that it isn't noticeable once applied on the lips. Although I prefer more neutral colors (show me anything with rose and wood in the name and I'm in), this one is a stunner and definitely a must do. The girls at the ck one color counters told me how much this red brightens my green eyes (both told me so, apart from each other... strange). Maybe that compliment was what got me in the end, because I usually don't like my eyes (I always wanted to have really dark brown eyes..sigh), but in combination with this beauty right here, I'm okay with my green eyes ;) The lipstick has a little bit of sheen to it, but becomes more matte after a couple of minutes. Wearing time is insane. Eating? Drinking? Not much of a problem. It lasts nearly all day and fades evenly, leaving behind a nice stain. For a rather matte lipstick, this one is not as drying as other lipsticks with a similar finish. Like MAC's lippies, ck one color Pure Color Lipsticks are vanilla scented. I am totally in love with this lipstick and convinced that I need more, more more of them!
In Germany ck one color is sold at Karstadt and Karstadt's and Breuninger's online shops. In the USA their products are sold at Ulta for example. Ck one color Pure Color Lipsticks retail for 19€ (16$).
I also received a sample of ck one color's 3 in 1 Face Make-up SPF 8 Foundation in 300 Sand. I really like the lightweight formula of this one and will definitely take a closer look at it.
