Another pricey lip balm? Bite Beauty Lush Lip Tint Lychee

Es war mal wieder soweit. Eine liebe Freundin machte sich auf in das Land der guten Sephoras und erklärte sich bereit, mir etwas mitzubringen (Danke Jo!). Die Liste war klein und exklusiv und ich habe beim Erstellen wohl weder Hirn noch Computer eingeschaltet. Zwei meiner drei Wünsche waren nämlich online exclusive. Wer lesen kann, sucht sich Dinge aus, die es auch im Laden zu kaufen gibt. Aber ein Teil hat es dann doch noch nach Deutschland geschafft: der Bite Beauty Lush Lip Tint. Seit meiner andauernden Affäre mit der Agave Lip Mask ist Bite ständig auf meinem Radar. Leichte Farbe und Pflegekern? Aber gerne doch. Mein Lush Lip Tint wurde in der Farbe Lychee geliefert und tut genau das, was ich von ihm erwartet habe: Feuchtigkeit spenden durch Argan Öl und und etwas Farbe zaubern. Wobei die Betonung auf etwas liegt und wohl am besten auf dem swatch auf meinem Handrücken zu sehen ist. Lychee verschmilzt nämlich komplett mit meiner Lippenfarbe, ergo er sieht aus wie ein ungetönter Lippenbalsam. Ich hätte daher vielleicht doch lieber zu einer kräftigeren Nuance greifen sollen. Die Haltbarkeit ist ebenfalls mit der eines Lip balms vergleichbar. Zwei Stündchen hält er durch, danach muss er neu aufgetragen werden. Die Pflegeleistung ist auf jeden Fall gut. Nachdem ich ihn jetzt ein paar Mal ausgeführt habe, gibt es für mich demnach zwei Optionen: Wenn ich das nächste Mal 24$ für Lip balm hinblättere, dann muss es entweder eine Farbe mit mehr Karacho sein oder es wird wieder ein Lip Treatment von Fresh. Das steckt den Lush Lip Tint nämlich locker in die Tasche. Sorry, Bite. 

Consider me one lucky beauty junkie. My dear friend Jo spent some days in NYC lately and was kind enough to stop by a Sephora and get me a little something. Originally I asked her to get me three things, but I must have written my wish list without actually checking the Sephora website, because two of my three desired items were online exclusives #fail. At least one of the things on my wish list was not an online exclusive and actually in stock. The newest member of my tinted lip balm army is the Bite Beauty Lush Lip Tint. Bite has been on my radar since I started my love affair with the Agave Lip Mask. The Lush Lip Tints offer a hint of color and hydration (argan oil does the trick), mostly what I'm looking for. I got mine in the color Lychee, which is absolutely invisible on my lips. It just melts into my lips and the color disappears into oblivion. What you see on the back of my hand below is not what I get on my lips. It does provide hydration, though I must reapply every two hours to keep the same level of moisture, which is average for a lip balm. Because that is exactly it. The Lush Lip Tint is a pricey chap stick. So the next time I'm willing to spend 24$ on a lip balm, I will either go for different shade or just go for one of my trusted Fresh Sugar Lip Treatments. I'm sorry to say that Bite, but that's a battle your Lush Lip Tint can't win.

Ich liebe Lippenstift. Was so ein bisschen Farbe auf dem Mund bewirken kann, ist fantastisch. Sattes Rot und schon ist man eine femme fatale, dunkles Bordeaux und man avanciert zu einem mysteriösen Vamp.  Lippenstift verändert nicht nur den Look, sondern unter Umständen auch die Persönlichkeit. Allerdings nur, wenn man die Grundvoraussetzung erfüllt. Damit meine ich nicht, dass man einen Schmollmund wie Angelina Jolie haben muss. Ich erwähne an dieser Stelle bewusst nicht Kylie Jenner, denn das was da in ihrem Gesicht passiert, sollte niemand gutheißen oder doch gar zum Vorbild nehmen. Mit Grundvoraussetzung meine ich, dass man schöne glatte Haut hat. Meine Lippen neigen leider zu extremer Trockenheit, auch wenn ich diverse Lippenbalsame 24/7 im Einsatz habe. Die Fresh Sugar Lip Treatments bewirken zwar wahre Wunder, aber wenn ich so töricht war und einen matten Lippenstift getragen habe, oh dann ist die Rache der trockenen Lippen mir gewiss. So sehr ich die Velvet Matte Lip Pencils von NARS auch liebe, sie lieben mich leider nicht. Was nach einem Tag oder Nacht mit Cruella auf den Lippen folgt, ist sowas wie Hausarest. Mindestens drei Tage lang kommt keine Farbe auf den Mund, bis sich die Lage entspannt hat. In der Zwischenzeit gibt es nur Lippenbalsam. In rauen Mengen. 

Wie froh ich bin, eine großartige matte Alternative gefunden zu haben, verkündete ich bereits im letzten Post zu meiner Lobeshymne auf Charlotte Tilburys Matte Revolution Lipsticks. 

Wenn ich es mit matten Lippenstift aber doch mal zu wild getrieben habe, dann gibt es nur eine Lösung: die Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask. Sie ist der Schlachtplan Nummer eins. Über Nacht aufgetragen, sind meine Lippen am Morgen so gut wie neu. Es gibt drei Varianten, ich habe mich für die transparente entschieden, weil ich sowieso vorhatte, die Maske als nächtliches Treatment aufzutragen. Die Textur ist dick und wahnsinnig pflegend. Der Duft ist leicht süßlich, was mich grundsätzlich nicht stört. Die Inhaltsstoffe können sich auch mehr als sehen lassen: sie sind zu 99% natürlich.

Der einzige Minuspunkt: die Verpackung. Weil die Textur so extrem fest ist, ist es ein Kampf, etwas davon aus der Tube zu drücken. Ist es allerdings geschafft, kann man sich das workout für die Arme direkt sparen.

I love lipstick, really. There's nothing that lipstick can't do. It can transform a look completely. You want to be a seductive temptress? Well then put on some red lipstick. You're more into the mood to be a mysterious vamp? Nice, try a coat of a dramatic dark burgundy. See? It's so easy. If you keep in mind one thing: you gotta have nice, smooth lips. They don't have to be like Angelina Jolie's perfect pout or certainly not like Kylie Jennet's because this kid went waaaay overboard with everything that has happened to her face recently. What I mean, is smooth skin on your lips. No one likes flaky lips. Unfortunately I haven't been blessed with super uncomplicated lips. Yes, they are rather full, but they are as dry as they can possibly be. Let me fill you in: I love matte lipsticks, but they don't love me back. Maybe the Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution lip formula does, but it is seems to be the only one. If I wear a matte lip color like let's say the NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil, my lips take revenge on me and I can't come close to a lipstick for at least three days. Lip balm is the only acceptable option then. The Fresh Sugar Lip Treatments are my favorite lip balms ever, but when my lips feel like they have to punish me really hard, there's only one secret weapon to handle the situation: the Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask. It's a miracle. It is clear (there are two other options available, a shimmery and a sheer pink one), super thick and moisturizes like nothing else on this planet. It has a sweet scent and taste and is made of 99% natural ingredients. The only downside is the packaging, because it is so hard to get this super thick paste out of the tube. Maybe they should put it into a jar. I'm not a fan of jars for lip products, but in this case, I would appreciate it.

Instylebox Herbst

Ein Boxenabonnement gekündigt und gleich wieder ein neues abgeschlossen. So viel zum Thema 'Ich mache da nicht mehr mit bei diesem Beautyboxkram', aha. Im Normalfall wäre das auch so gewesen, aber die Instylebox hat mich zu neugierig gemacht und in der ersten Box war auch noch ein Opi Nagellack enthalten - den ich natürlich nicht habe, weil ich erst mit der zweiten Box eingestiegen bin - doof gelaufen. Kurz zum System: Die Instylebox erscheint alle drei Monate mit saisonalem Wechsel (wenn man es plausibel erklären möchte) und kostet 29,90€. Der Preis ist nicht ohne, aber dafür erscheint das Ganze auch im Quartalsrhythmus. Der Inhalt ist bunt gemischt: Accessoires, dekorative Kosmetik, food und Pflege sind drin und obendrauf gibt es einen Code für 3 E-Paper Ausgaben der Instyle und diverse Gutscheine. Und was genau war jetzt drin? Schon mal vorab: Jede Menge cooles Zeug. Anders als bei der Doubox oder Glossybox habe ich hier weitaus weniger mit den Augen gerollt. 

Inhalt Instylebox Herbst

Zum Beispiel wegen des Skinny Detox Good Night Teas von Teatox. Ich liebe meinen Detox Tee von Kusmi, aber als ich neulich mal die Morgen und Abend Variante von Teatox bei ein Freundin trank, war ich echt angetan. Mit gutem Tee kriegt man mich eigentlich immer. Dazu ein Hafervoll Flapjack Müsliriegel und der Tag wird gut. Ich hatte ihn in der Geschmacksrichtung Mohn Aprikose und habe ihn in Nullkommanichts weggeputzt. 

Das Vitaminwater von Glacèau war jetzt nicht ganz mein Ding. Ich stehe auch einfach nicht auf Wasser mit Geschmack.  

Ein Teil, das mir in der kurzen Zeit schon ans Herz gewachsen ist, ist die fabelhafte Kette von Review. Sie ist filigran, roségolden mit drei kleinen Ringen und verträgt sich hervorragend mit Schwarz. Ich hoffe, dass sie nicht allzu schnell anläuft. Das zweite Teil aus dem Bereich Accessoires ist ein Armand von Sorbet Bracelets. Süßes Teil, das ich genau zweimal getragen habe, bis sich der Knoten unbemerkt gelöst hat und ich es verloren habe. Yaaaay. Nicht. 

In der Kategorie Haare gibt es auch ein Produkt das mir gleich ins Auge fiel. Das Thickening Hairspray von Bumble&Bumble stand sowieso schon länger auf meiner Wunschliste. Ich bekomme jetzt keine Löwenmähne, aber Volumen ist da und meine Haare fetten nicht extrem nach, so wie es häufig der Fall ist bei Volumensprays. 

Die Haargummis von invisibobble nutze ich regelmäßig. Überwiegend in Schwarz oder Braun. Das Exemplar oben stammt aus der so in love Kollektion und ist transparent mit silbernem Glitzer. Wenn der Glitzer unsichtbar bleibt, dann möchte ich die Haargummis bitten in meinem Dutt Platz zu nehmen. 

Pflege mal drei kommt in Form von Handcreme, Lipbalm und Serum daher. Die Handcreme von Vandini duftet herrlich nach wildem Flieder und Frangipiani, hinterlässt aber leider einen kleinen Fettfilm in den Handflächen. Den All Natural Moroccan Mint Lipbalm von Stop the Water While Using Me hatte ich schon einmal, glaube ich jeden falls. Ich sollte vielleicht mal im Archiv graben... Das Lift Affine Visage Serum von Clarins wird getestet sobald ich mein Serum von Philosophy aufgebraucht habe (post dazu folgt noch). Die 10ml-Größe finde ich im Übrigen ziemlich großzügig. 

Die letzte Kategorie umfasst zwei Produkte: Die Lash Love Mascara von Mary Kay ist leider nicht wasserfest und die Art von Bürstchen verträgt sich auch nicht so doll mit meinen Wimpern. Aber das Design ist ganz schnuckelig. 

Seit Anfang September ist die neue Beautylinie von dm im Handel erhältlich. In der Instylebox enthalten ist ein Double Volume&Shine Nagellack der trend it up-Reihe in der Farbe 270. Ich hätte natürlich lieber einen Opi gehabt, aber bei der Farbe kann ich nicht meckern. 

Ich bin mir der Instylebox viel zufriedener als mit Doubox, Glossybox, Pinkbox und Co. Den Mix aus Beauty, food& Accessoires finde ich gut und auch das Preisleistungsverhältnis stimmt meiner Meinung nach. Aber ich möchte jetzt auch nicht zu euphorisch sein. Wir wollen den Tag ja nicht vor der nächsten Box loben. 

New in: Something for cheeks, lips, face, body and tummy

"Kannst du mir bitte bitte bitte etwas mitbringen? Also nur wenn du Zeit hast und zufällig bei Sephora/Duane Reade/CVS/Ulta vorbeikommst. Hier hast du eine kleine fünfseitige Liste mit Standorten der jeweiligen Shops, falls du grad in der Nähe sein solltest. Aber echt nur wenn du Zeit hast. Die haben da soooo coolen Kram und das bekommt man auch nur da." So in etwa klingt es, wenn ich eine Freundin bitte mir etwas aus dem Ausland, vorzugsweise den Staaten, mitzubringen. Allein der Gedanke an Sephora und Co. lässt mich vor Neid erblassen. Diese Auswahl ist unfassbar. All die coolen brands und diese süßen kleinen Minisets. Ich könnte durchdrehen. Glücklicherweise hatte ich in den letzten Wochen gleich drei mal die Gelegenheit mir ein paar Kleinigkeiten mitbringen zu lassen. 

"Can you pleeeeeeeeease get me something from Sephora/CVS/Duane Reade/Ulta? I mean, just in case you happen to be close to a store. Here is a five pages long list of store locations. But as I said, no pressure, but if you have a minute or two, pleeeeeeeeeeease go inside and get me _____ and _____ and _____." This is what it sounds like when I try to convince a friend who is going to travel to a destination with Sephora stores and great drugstores to get me a thing or two. And because I am a lucky girl, I had three friends visiting the U.S. and this is why I present you my new stuff born in the USA.

Den Anfang machen meine ersten Real Techniques Pinsel. Jetzt erst? Ja, ich weiß. Jetzt erst. Aber jetzt bin ich Besitzerin der Stippling Brush und des Core Collection Kits. Die Stippling Brush in Pink eignet sich hervorragend für Cremerouge. Das Core Collection Set beinhaltet eine Buffing Brush (darauf hatte ich es besonders abgesehen), eine Pointed Foundation Brush, eine Detailer Brush und eine Contour Brush. Das Ganze kommt noch in einem "Panoramic Brush Case" um die Pinsel sicher zu verstauen. 

Die Stippling Brush funktioniert wirklich ganz hervorragend, aber ich erwische mich trotzdem immer wieder dabei, wie ich mein Cremerouge mit den Fingern auftrage. Macht der Gewohnheit. 

Aus dem Core Collection Kit kam bisher die Contour Brush am häufigsten zum Einsatz. Meistens um Highlighter in Puderform aufzutragen. Die Pointed Foundation Brush trägt Foundation präzise und gut deckend auf. Die Buffing Brush arbeitet alles schön in die Haut ein. Die Detailer Brush habe ich bislang nur für Eyeliner benutzt und dafür war sie ok. 

Ich muss aber unbedingt erwähnen wie wahnsinnig weich die Pinsel sind. 

Let's start with my new Real Techniques brushes. Yes, I hopped on the bandwagon that late. I know, I know. But the Stippling brush for cream blush application is now with me. As well as the Core Collection kit with it's Pointed Foundation brush (best to achieve a medium coverage), the Buffing brush to really work the foundation into the skin, a Detailer brush I used for eyeliner application and a Contour brush which is perfect for powdery highlighters. I must admit that in terms of cream blush I still tend to use my fingers, because I am so used to it and it gives me more control over the product. But don't worry, the Stippling Brush serves a purpose and we will get there soon. 

Real Techniques Stippling Brush and Core Collection kit

Bath & Body Works ist soooo eine Marktlücke in Deutschland. Diese Bodylotions, Duftkerzen, Bodysprays...Und diese Düfte. Vor gefühlt hundert Jahren hatte eine Freundin mal eine Handlotion in der Duftrichtung Paris Amour dabei. Ich schnüffelte kurz und war hin und weg. So etwas hatte ich noch nie gerochen. Absolut großartig. Irgendwie süß und pudrig, aber mit nichts anderem vergleichbar. Ich musste es haben. Deswegen versuche ich immer irgendwie an ein Fläschchen zu kommen. Meine Frisifee war so lieb und hat mich mit zwei kleinen Paris Amour Bodylotions und dem travel size Fine Fragrance Mist ausgestattet. Die Lotion und das Bodyspray kommen natürlich nicht täglich zum Einsatz, nur ab und zu, damit sich der Füllstand der Fläschchen bloß nicht verringert...Ja ich übertreibe, aber es riecht einfach so gut. Die Lotion riecht übrigens so gut und intensiv, dass ich oft nach 'meinem Parfum' gefragt werde wenn ich mal wieder vergessen habe mich einzusprühen und die Bodylotion solo trage. 

Bath& Body Works ist ja auch berühmt für seine Handdesinfektionsmittel, weil sie einfach himmlisch duften. Wo Pumpkin Frosting draufsteht, ist auch Pumpkin Frosting drin. Man möchte sich im Minutentakt die Hände desinfizieren und sie dann ablecken wenn niemand hinsieht. 

Why is there no Bath&Body Works in Germany? Maybe some don't know this yet, but we are desperately in need of it here. The candles, body lotions, fragrances...I don't even know where to start. Maybe with how I fell in love with a scent called Paris Amour. Ages ago a friend of mine had a hand lotion she let me use when my hands needed some moisture and it was one sniff that took me to scent heaven. I never smelled something like this before. It was sweet and powdery and hard to describe, but so so lovely. So whenever I get a chance to get a bottle or two, I am feeling extra lucky. My favorite hair dresser of all time, I call her my hair fairy, hooked me up with two Paris Amour travel sized Body Lotions and a mini Fine Fragrance Mist. I just use it once a week. because I don't want it to be gone one day. By the way: The scent is so intense (in a good way), that people ask me what fragrance I am wearing when I just slapped on the body lotion in the morning and forgot to use a perfume. 

She also got me one of their famous PoketBac Sanitizing Hand Gels. It has Pumpkin frosting written all over it and it makes me want to lick my hands after using it. I try not to, but the struggle is real. 

Oh Paris Amour, I j'adore you

Natürlich musste auch etwas bei Sephora gekauft werden. Für mich ist Sephora wie ein Süssigkeitenladen. Ich kann mich schwer entscheiden und will alles. Am liebsten eine gemischte Tüte für zwei Mark, ohne Lakritz. Aber so einfach ist das nicht. Entscheidungen müssen getroffen werden. Da ich mal wieder ein Rouge ins Auge gefasst hatte, habe ich mir das Coconut Watercolor Cheek Gelée von Josie Maran in der Farbe Honeymoon Honey mitbringen lassen. Es ist wie der Name schon sagt ein Gelée und nicht das übliche Cremerouge. Die Konsistenz ist dementsprechend gelartig, aber nicht zu weich. Ich hab ein bisschen Schwierigkeiten das Produkt sichtbar auf mein Gesicht zu bringen. Mit den Fingern klappt es eher schlecht als recht, aber mit der Stippling Brush geht es einigermaßen besser von der Hand. Die Farbe sieht dementsprechend sehr natürlich aus und schichten funktioniert auch nur bedingt. Einen schönen Glow zaubert es aber auf jeden Fall. 

Das zweite Produkt aus der Sephora shoppingbag ist ein Rollerball Duftset in den Duftrichtungen Nirvana White und Nirvana Black von Elizabeth and James. Ihr wisst schon, die Düfte der Olsen Zwillinge. Ich war mega gespannt darauf. Das kleine Set beinhaltet zwei Düfte im Rollerball-Format mit jeweils 7ml. Nirvana Black ist sehr würzig und rauchig. Mir ist er fast schon etwas zu schwer. Nirvana White dagegen ist genau mein Fall. Leicht, frisch und blumig. Und leider auch nach etwa 15min von meiner Haut verschwunden. Ich weiß nicht warum der Duft sooo leicht ist, dass er sich wirklich null auf der Haut hält, aber es ist ein Jammer. Ehrlich.

Eigentlich gab es noch ein drittes Produkt, aber das verdient einen eigenen Post. Also Augen auf.

On to Sephora. Sephora is like a candy store for beauty lovers. You want it all. But because I am not Richy Rich (yet), decisions had to be made. Because you know my love for blush, I gave Josie Maran's Coconut Watercolor Cheek Gelée in Honeymoon Honey a go. It is not my regular cream blush, but has a firm jelly-like consistency and isn't exactly easy to work with. Application with my fingers leads nowhere, but the Stippling Brush transfers at least a little bit of color to my cheeks and a nice bit of glow. Maybe I am not used to this formula just yet, but I prefer my plain old cream blush. 

I also love a good fragrance, especially the ones you don't smell often on hundreds of other people. I was super curious to check out the Nirvana perfumes by Elizabeth and James (Olsen twins rule). Nirvana Black and Nirvana White are available in a cute little rollerball mini set (7ml/0.24 oz each). Oh these mini sets always get me. Nirvana Black is a very smoky, dark and rather heavy fragrance, while Nirvana White is fresh, floraly and light. I really like this one, but somehow it disappears on me within minutes. I don't know if its me or if the fragrance is really this light. Its just sad. 

There is also a third treasure I got from Sephora, but I really, really love this one and it deserves an own post. So keep your eyes open.

Nirvana White (jaaaaaa!) and Nirvana Black (nah) Mini Rollerball set

Der Drogeriebereich in den USA ist voll mit Schätzen. Bei den günstigen Preisen war es wirklich schwer sich für eine Sache zu entscheiden. Aber ich habe mich zusammengerissen und mich einfach für ein Teil in zwei Ausführungen entschieden: Den NYX Butter Lip Balm. Meinen NYX Butter Gloss habe ich hier schon vorgestellt und weil ich den schon extrem gut fand, erschien es mir als logische Konsequenz auch den passenden Lip Balm zu testen. 

Ich habe den Lip Balm in den Farben 02 Ladyfingers und 08 Brownie geordert und bin mit den Farben ganz zufrieden. Ladyfingers ist besser pigmentiert als Brownie, aber das geht in Ordnung. Sie duften fruchtig, aber meine Nase kann irgendwie nicht ausmachen was für ein Duft genau das ist. Was ich allerdings gar nicht gut finde: Mineral Oil als Bestandteil des Balms. Mineral Oil sorgt für den 'Labello'-Effekt. Mineralöl trocknet die Lippen aus und man muss immer wieder nachschmieren. Das mag ich so gar nicht. Aber da er nicht im Dauereinsatz ist, ist das ok. 

American drugstores offer a lot of cool stuff. I'm not saying that German drugstores don't give us cool stuff, but we always want what is hard to get, right? Again, I could hardly decide on just one thing, because I need options. So how about the NYX Butter Lip Balm in two colors? I already raved about the Butter Lipgloss here, so I am familiar with the idea. The Butter Lip Balms promise hydration and a sheer color. I got mine in 02 Ladyfingers, which is a bright pink and 08 Brownie, a rosy brown hue. They have a fruity scent, but I can't really say what exactly it is. They glide on the lips, but in terms of moisture I am not amused. They contain mineral oil which is no good, because it actually dehydrates and forces you to reapply it often. The Butter Lip Balms are okay as long as I don't use them everyday.

Und weil nichts über Erdnussbutter geht und auch nichts über Schokolade, musste auch etwas Süßes her. Reese`s Peanutbutter cups <3 Eine Packung ist leider nicht auf dem Bild zu sehen, weil schon längst verputzt. Die Häschen mit weißer Schokolade (ab hier wird's kaum besser) sind so lecker wie sie aussehen. Dazu gab es noch jeweils ein Glas Organic Peanut- und Almond butter, aber die sind natürlich auch schon halb leer gegessen. 

Tja und was soll ich zu den Frozen Frühstücksflocken sagen? Da sind kleine Marshmallows drin. Die hatte ich damals auch als Indiana Jones limited edition mit kleinen Marshmallows in Hutform und ja, leider auch in Form des doofen Kristallschädels, aber toll war das trotzdem. Und lecker. Natürlich nichts für einen strengen Ernährungsplan von Fitness- und healthy lifestyle begeisterten Menschen, aber das ist mir sowas von egal. Das Leben besteht nicht nur aus Smoothies und Gemüse, sondern auch aus Schneeflockenmarshmallows und sehr viel Erdnussbutter.  

Maybe you know my love for peanut butter and chocolate. First thing that comes to your mind? Reese's. We have a not so secret love affair. Unfortunatly I just have the white chocolate bunnies left to show you, because the huge package of Reese's peanut butter cups was gone in light speed. Once upon a time there was a glass of organic peanut and almond butter, but you don't want to see half empty jars, do you?

 Is this a box of limited edition Frozen Cereals? Yes, it is. They have these little snow flake marshmallows in there. When they released Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Chrystal Skull (still not over it) there was a limited edition of Indiana Jones cereals with marshmallows that looked like his hat, torch and the stupid chrystal skull. They were uber cool and delicious. I know that marshmallows in my cereal are not what is considered healthy and good for me, but I don't care. Of course I try to eat healthy and have my porridge and veggies and stuff, but life isn't all about smoothies and workout sessions. Sometimes it is all about ice chrystal marshmallows and peanut butter.

What's in my bag?-posts lese ich auf anderen Blogs super gerne. Meistens bewegen sich die dort gezeigten Inhalte irgendwo zwischen "Ja guck, das hab ich auch immer dabei" , "Gute Idee, sollte ich vielleicht auch mal einpacken" oder "Wer braucht denn sowas?" Also dachte ich, dass es an der Zeit ist mal den Inhalt meiner Tasche auf den Tisch zu legen.

Dieser besteht natürlich aus allerlei Beautykram. Ganz vorne mit dabei sind besonders viele Lippenprodukte. Irgendwie brauche ich immer die Sicherheit für alle möglichen Situationen gewappnet zu sein. Wer weiß, eventuell brauche ich ganz schnell rote Lippen, weil ich ja spontan noch zu einem ultra schicken Event eingeladen werden könnte. Rein theoretisch. Aber fangen wir von vorne an...

Most of the time other people's stuff fits into three categories: "I have the exact thing in my bag", "Well, that's a good idea, I should think about getting this, too" or "Who needs something like this at all?". So its time to give you a little sneak peak into my bag. Maybe my stuff fits into one of your categories.

Die Tasche die mich im Moment oft begleitet ist ein Geburtstagsgeschenk von meinem boyfriend. Die bucket bag von Steffen Schraut ist groß und geräumig und super bequem zu tragen. Sie beherbergt eine Fülle von Dingen, die man gerne den oben genannten Kategorien zuordnen kann. Unter anderem diese hier: 

The bag I carry with me most of the time right now is a late birthday gift I got from my boyfriend. Every girl needs at least one bucket bag in her life and mine is by Steffen Schraut. Its comfortable to wear and offers enough room for all of the stuff shown in these pictures.

Immer mit dabei ist mein Terminkalender (so fern ich ihn nicht wieder verliere) und natürlich auch ein Stift, damit ich meine Termine nicht per Gedankenübertragung notieren muss. Habs mal versucht, aber war nur semi-erfolgreich. Natürlich kann es nicht irgend ein beliebiger Stift sein. Es muss schon ein Kugelschreiber in Lippenstiftform sein. Nicht wegzudenken ist auch ein Haargummi. Ich benutze derzeit die elastischen Ringe von invisibobble. Denn auch wenn ich morgens mit offener Mähne aus dem Haus gehe und die Motivation hoch ist, mache ich spätestens nachmittags einen Samuraiknödel aka Dutt daraus. Taschentücher dürfen natürlich auch nicht fehlen, besonders keine mit Spider-Man Motiv. Eine Duftminiatur wird ebenfalls so gut wie immer (oder so oft ich daran denke, also eher geht so oft) eingepackt. Aktuell nehme ich gerne Daisy Eau so Fresh von Marc Jacobs, weil ich diesen Duft auch im großen Flakon besitze, ihn zwischendurch dann auffrischen kann und so nicht unwillkürlich komische Duftkompositionen erfinde. Lesestoff und Kopfhörer, hier in einer girly girl Farbe erklären sich ja von selbst.

Always in my bag is my calendar (as long as I don't put it somewhere else and it won't bee seen ever again) and of course I need a pen to write down my meetings. I tried it with telepathy but I prefer to use this lip stick shaped pen instead. One thing I always carry with me, either in my bag or on my wrist is a hair tie. New in are the hair ties by invisibobble. I often leave the house wearing my hair down, but some time around noon I feel an irresistible urge to tie my hair into a messy bun. Spider-Man tissues are also a must. A sample of the fragrance I'm wearing that day is something I tend to pack in my bag when I'm having a long day ahead of me. I really like Daisy Eau so Fresh by Marc Jacobs, because its not overpowering and puts me in a good mood. The latest issue of Vogue and some girly girl headphones need no further explanation I think.

Handcremes stapeln sich bei mir und ich kaufe ständig neue, aber diese hier werde ich trotzdem immer wieder nachkaufen. Ich bin ganz verrückt nach der Coconut Handcreme von The Body Shop. Die Tube erinnert mich an Künstlerfarben, die Creme ist leicht und zieht schnell ein ohne dabei einen fiesen Fettfilm auf den Handinnenflächen zu hinterlassen und sie duftet himmlisch. Sollte ich die mal vergessen, schütte ich panisch grundsätzlich den kompletten Inhalt meiner Tasche aus und durchsuche nochmal jeden Winkel. Das wird dann gefolgt von einem verdammt a la Homer Simpson.

Noch eine Portion Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream auf die Nagelhaut auftragen und ich kann mich endlich meinen Lippen widmen. Die bekommen abwechselnd transparente Pflege durch meinen coconut milk eos lip balm, einen leichten Schimmer in Rosé mit dem Hydra Chrono Lippenbalsam von Lierac oder eine alltagstaugliche Rottönung mit dem Benebalm von Benefit.

I don't know when it happened, but I collect hand creams. Its not like I decided to start collecting them, it just happened by accident. Right now there is one I reach for most of the time: Currently I am obsessed with the Coconut hand cream by The Body Shop. I like the packaging, the lightweight formula and the scent. I panic when I think that I might have forgotten it at home or in another bag. Yes, its that good. Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream is hydrating, a bit greasy and smells amazing, this is a must for dry cuticles. The lip balms I reach for most of the time are my coconut milk eos lip balm, Lierac's Hydra Chrono lip balm which adds a hint of color to the lips or my Benefit Benebalm for a just bitten, snow white pout (pun intended).

Und weil wir grad schon beim Thema sind, geht es hier auch gleich weiter mit Lippenprodukten. Der Eclat Minute Embellisseur Lèvres von Clarins in der Farbe 06 Rosewood Shimmer findet sich wahrscheinlich in sehr, sehr vielen Taschen wieder. Der NYX Butter Gloss in der Farbe Angel Food Cake ist auch ein alltime Favorit der einfach nie fehlen darf. Auch wenn ich eher seltener zu Lipgloss greife, aber die Farbe ist einfach zu schön um nicht ab und zu getragen zu werden. Leider gibt es Angel Food Cake immer noch nicht in Deutschland zu kaufen, aber für solche Fälle gibt es eBay. Genau so schön wie der Butter Gloss ist mein Clinique Chubby Stick in Bountiful Blush, der dem Butter Gloss ziemlich ähnlich ist, nur auf den Glanz verzichtet, weswegen ich nicht auf ihn verzichten kann. Und um wenigstens noch ein wenig echte Farbe in die Rosenholzrunde zu werfen ist, auch ein Mini Chubby Stick in Two Ton Tomato vertreten. Meine Augenringe sind hartnäckig und winken mir spätestens nachmittags beim Blick in den Spiegel wieder munter zu, deswegen ist Concealer unentbehrlich. Der Instant Anti-Age Effekt Löscher von Maybelline macht seinen Job gut und ist daher herzlich eingeladen in meiner Handtasche Platz zu nehmen.

And because there are even more lip products in my bag (and I still feel like there is always something missing), lets continue with these cuties. I can imagine that this one can be found in a lot of bags: Its the Eclat Minute Embellisseur Lèvres by Clarins. I like the shade 06 rosewood shimmer, because I have a thing for anything with "rosewood" in it, especially because it is accompanied by a rosy-beige or mauveish color. I don't often wear lipgloss, but this shade is so pretty that I just have to wear it from time to time. Its the NYX Butter Gloss in Angel Food Cake. Unfortunately this particular shade isn't available in Germany, but thats what ebay is for. Very similar to Angel Food Cake, but not as glossy or shiny is Clinique's Chubby Stick in Bountiful Blush. And to throw a little bit of color into this rosy beige party crowd I would like to introduce you to Clinique's Chubby Stick in Two Ton Tomato (shown here in its mini version). Although the bags under my eyes are Prada, I still like to cover them up. They always need the limelight and so my dark circles will show up again not later than noon. Then its time for Maybelline's Instant Anti-Age The Eraser Concealer to take over and make me pretty again. 

My winter essentials

Als ich heute morgen aus dem Fenster sah, hatte ich nur einen Gedanken: Kalt. Über Nacht ist ordentlich Schnee gefallen und spätestens jetzt ist es an der Zeit, meine absoluten "eisig kalter Winter essentials" zu präsentieren. Zunächst mal ein kleiner Eindruck meiner Umwelt an diesem heutigen Tage. Zu sehen ist nicht etwa das Innere einer Schneekugel, sondern der Blick aus meinem Wohnzimmerfenster.

Da ich zwar ein Mützenfreund bin, aber Mützen mein Haar nicht nur platt und matt aussehen lassen , sondern auch meinen Ansatz in sekundenschnelle nachfetten lassen, verzichte ich oft darauf. Das bedeutet auch, dass meine Haare den nordpolartigen Brisen gnadenlos ausgesetzt sind. Deshalb brauchen sie viel Pflege. Um besonders meine Spitzen vor dem Austrocknen zu schützen, sprühe ich nach der Wäsche die Keratin Boost Essenz aus der Luxe Oil Serie von Wella Professionals ins Haar. Argan-, Jojoba- und Mandelöl geben dann alles um meine Spitzen nicht in Stroh zu verwandeln. Und wie das riecht. Man sollte es essen dürfen.

Seitdem ich mein erstes Duschgel von Philosophy kaufte, bin ich der Marke hoffnungslos verfallen. Wahrscheinlich auch, weil sie in Deutschland nicht erhältlich ist. Wann immer ich also etwas von Philosophy entdecke, wird es gnadenlos eingetütet. Ich schnuppere schon gar nicht mehr am Deckel, um zu sehen ob mir der Duft gefällt. Bei meiner Nummer eins Winterpflege fürs Gesicht musste ich das auch gar nicht. Der berühmte hope in a jar high-performance moisturizer überzeugt auch so. Hat Oprah nicht mal behauptet, dass dies die beste Feuchtigkeitspflege sei? Würde Oprah uns anlügen? Niemals. Where there is hope there can be faith heißt es auf der Verpackung, ich habe meine Hoffnungen in diese reichhaltige und doch super schnell einziehende Pflege gesetzt und wurde nicht enttäuscht. Ich will jetzt nicht sagen, dass ich einer alternativen Philosophy-Glaubensgemeinschaft beitreten würde, aber für eine Flasche Raspberry Glazed oder French Vanilla Bean oder Cinnamon Buns des 3-in1 cleansers bekommt ihr meine Unterschrift, liebe Schwestern und Brüder. 

Ich bin nicht nur ein Mützen, sondern auch ein Handschuhverweigerer. Meistens jedenfalls. Damit fühlen sich die Hände irgendwie so fremd an. Deswegen brauchen die Patschehändchen ein Extra an Aufmerksamkeit. Obwohl ich im Moment völlig besessen bin von einer anderen Handcreme (mehr dazu bald auf dem blog), ist die Kiehl's Ultimate Strength Hand Salve genau das Richtige bei Minusgraden. Sie ist fett, reichhaltig und zieht ewig nicht ein. Deswegen trage ich sie bevorzugt nur auf den Handoberflächen auf. Dort sorgt sie dann dafür, dass meine Hände dem Winter den Feuchtigkeitsmittelfinger zeigen können. 

Was aber ist die liebste Zielscheibe des Winters? Genau, die Lippen. Die brauchen ein Schutzschild wie es Captain America hat. Würde nur mitten im Gesicht kein Sinn machen wenn man nicht das ganze Kostüm dazu trägt. Deswegen vertraue ich einem alten Bekannten: Carmex. Ich liebe meine eos Kugeln und all die anderen Lippenpflegestifte, die in meinen Taschen leben, aber Carmex breitet bei Wind&Wetter seinen schützenden Schirm aus wie kein anderer. Am liebsten mag ich den Carmex Ultra Smooth Vanilla Lip Balm Stick mit SPF 15. So und jetzt geh heulen, Winter. Du wirst hier nicht mehr gebraucht. 

I really like hats and beanies. But whenever I wear let's say a beanie, my head seems to punish me with flat and matte hair and leaving my fresh hair desperately longing for dry shampoo or another hair wash. So I often resist the urge to wear a beanie or headband and therefore my hair needs a lot of moisture to make it through the winter. After I have washed my hair I use Wella Professional's Keratin Boost Essence from their Luxe Oil range. It protects the ends of my hair from turning into straw with a mixture of argan, almond and jojoba oils. And the scent is amazing. 

Since I got my first shower gel from Philosophy, I'm hooked. I'm as addicted as you can get. Maybe because Philosophy isn't available in Germany. So whenever I spot a product with the typical recipe on the packaging I take it home with me. I don't even have to take a sniff to see if I like the scent, because I know that I do. When I came across Philosophy's hope in a jar high-performance moisturizer I walked to the checkout like a remotely controlled robot. I believe that Oprah once said that this stuff is good and Oprah would not lie to us. On the jar it says where there is hope there can be faith and yes, I'm a believer. This is just perfect for colder temperatures. It is creamy, but not heavy, moisturizes my skin but sinks just right in. I love it. I don't mind joining a Philosophy community of faith as long as you hand me a bottle of their french vanilla bean or raspberry glazed or cinnamon buns three-in-one cleanser. Please welcome me in your midst, brothers and sisters. 

Are you a fan of gloves? I'm not. Wearing them my hands feel like they no longer belong to my body and start doing weird things and every time I touch something it feels like it will slip out my hands any minute. But winter shows no mercy for unprotected hands. That's why I reach for Kiehl's Ultimate Strength Hand Salve (there is another hand cream I love soon on the blog). It's thick formula protects the skin and leaves it hydrated for a long, long time. It is a heavy hand cream that likes to sit on the surface for a while, so I prefer to apply it only to the backs of my hands. Take this, winter and watch me waving you goodbye without gloves.

And finally to the most sensitive area in my face: My lips. This is where temperatures below zero hit me the hardest. I wish I could use Captain America's shield to protect them, but it looks ridiculous without the whole costume and I don't look good in blue. There is only one lip balm I can rely on these days: Carmex. Although I love my eos and benefit and all the other lip balms I hoard in my purse, Carmex is the only one who isn't afraid of the cold. I like the Carmex Ultra Smooth Vanilla Lip Balm Stick with SPF 15, because I can sneak it in every pocket. In your face, winter. That's how it's done.

Was befindet sich bei mir grundsätzlich in jeder Tasche? Lip balm. Ich kann einfach nicht ohne. Für Farbe greife ich gerne zum Benebalm von Benefit und für die schnelle Pflege zwischendurch zu den Kugeln von eos. Seit Oktober letzten Jahres sind die lip balms nun auch in Deutschland erhältlich, aber leider nicht in allen Geschmacksrichtungen. Deswegen wurde mal wieder eine kleine Auslandsbestellung getätigt, um an die beiden neuen Duftrichtungen zu kommen. Coconut Milk und Vanilla Mint laufen unter dem Namen visibly soft und nicht wie die anderen lip balms unter smooth sphere. Von der Textur her sehe ich keinen Unterschied zu den "regulären" balms. Auch das Design ist ähnlich, wenn auch gestreift. Und sie duften himmlisch. Die werden wieder gekauft. Mist. 

What is the one thing that can always be found in my bag? Lip balm. I love lip balm. I can't do without. Not even a single day. Is it an addiction? I bet it is. Currently I'm obsessed with Benefit's Benebalm for a hint of color and when I just want a quick moisture fix I reach for my eos lip balm. Since october they are finally available in Germany, but I'm always on the hunt for the ones hard to get. So when I found out that eos released two new flavors I ordered them online and had them shipped from overseas. Coconut Milk and Vanilla Mint are their newest additions to the lip balm range. They named them visibly soft vs smooth sphere like the other ones are named. I can't see any changes in texture what so ever, but the packaging is slightly different. Coconut Milk and Vanilla Mint are both striped. And they smell heavenly. I can see myself repurchasing them over and over again. Damn it.

Benefit Sweet Tintations

Vor einer Woche überraschte mich mein Boyfriend mit einem kleinen Päckchen. Ich gab ihm in letzter Zeit ein paar dezente Hinweise bezüglich möglicher Weihnachtswünsche und erwähnte dabei auch die Sweet Tintations von Benefit. Das hat er sich scheinbar gemerkt und mir das zuckersüße Set einfach mal vorab mitgebracht.

Die Sweet Tintations gehören zu den diesjährigen Weihnachtssets und beinhalten jeweils sowohl zwei der neuen Lipbalms (in Fullsize!) als auch einen benetint und lollotint in großzügigen Samplegrößen.

Besonders gespannt war ich auf den benebalm und lollibalm. Ich bin ja ein bekennender Lippenpflegejunkie und getönte Pflege steht bei mir ganz hoch im Kurs. Also wurde schnell ausgepackt, geswatcht und dann ging es ans Ausprobieren. 

Als erstes nahm ich mir den benebalm vor. Er riecht wie auch benetint, lollitint und lollibalm nach Rosen <3 Himmlisch. Früher konnte ich Rosen nichts abgewinnen, aber seit ein paar Jahren liebe ich ihren Duft. Seltsam wie sich Geschmäcker ändern. Zurück zum Thema: Der benebalm zaubert eine leichte, rote Tönung und versorgt die Lippen erstaunlich lange mit Feuchtigkeit. Auch nachdem die Farbe verschwunden ist hält der Effekt noch etwas an. So mag ich das. Mit dem lollitint verhält es sich ähnlich. Die Tönung ist hier nur viel schwächer, die Pflegewirkung ist aber gleich gut. 

Bei benetint und lollitint handelt es sich um flüssige Farben für Wangen und Lippen. Benetint dürfte wohl eines der bekanntesten Produkte von Benefit sein. Das Originalprodukt kommt mit 12,5ml daher, die Samples bringen es auf 4ml. Mehr als genug zum Herumprobieren. Auf den Lippen macht sich benetint ganz fabelhaft. Um es als Blush zu benutzen brauche wohl noch etwas Übung. Das Zeug trocknet schneller als ich gucken und verwischen kann. Aber ich gebe nicht auf, vielleicht schaffe ich bald einen streifenfreien Auftrag. 

Das Set gibt es für 27€ aktuell noch bei benefitcosmetics.de zu kaufen und eventuell auch noch an ein paar anderen Countern bei Douglas. Wenn man bedenkt, dass ein Fullsize Lipbalm schon bei 20€ liegt, ist der Preis mehr als fair. 

Ich bin jedenfalls sehr angetan und benutze die beiden balms täglich. Das soll was heißen. 

Just a week ago my boyfriend surprised me with a little gift he picked from my Christmas wish list. Actually it's not a real wish list I have, it's more of a collection of discreet hints I gave him over the time like "Whoooa I need this!", you know nothing too straight forward. So he decided that it's time for an early Christmas gift and handed over something in a pretty packaging. It's benefit's sweet tintations set. It's part of their holiday collection for 2014. It comes with two of their new full size lipbalms and two deluxe samples of their famous benetint and lately released lollitint. 

As the lip balm addict that I am I was mostly interested in the lip balms. And so I want to start with benebalm because I freakin' love it. It smells like roses (all of the products included in the set do). Heavenly. I never liked the scent of roses, but somehow lately it's one of my favorite scents. I think it's weird how taste developes over the years. But back to roses. Benebalm is a tinted lipbalm. It's hydrating and gives my lips a natural just bitten kind of look. Lollibalm is equally hydrating but not as intense in color as benebalm. It's rather sheer. 

Benetint and lollitint are tinted lip and cheek stains. I like to apply them on my lips to give them just a right bit of color. Application on cheeks is a different story. The stain dries quickly and I feel like I have to be the Flash to blend it in such a short time. Well, I will work on my application skills. 

The sweet tintations set retails for 27€/27$ (great value considering that one lip balm already costs 20€) and is still available directly at benefitcosmetics.de. (sold out at benefitcosmetics.com). You can also check your local Benefit counters, maybe they still have it in stock. 

I am in love with this set and can definitely recommend it. Go get it while you still can.

New in: Eos lip balm

Ich habe den lip balm von eos zwar schon einmal in einem new in-post gezeigt, nämlich hier, aber keinen eigenen post dazu gemacht. Das wird jetzt aus zwei Gründen nachgeholt: 1) Weil meine beiden Kugeln von damals schon leer sind und ich Nachschub ordern musste und 2) weil ich süchtig danach bin und es großartig finde. Ich bin ein lip balm junkie, deswegen probiere ich auch jeden Lippenbalsam aus. Es gibt gutes Lippenpflegezeug und schlechtes Lippenpflegezeug. eos lip balm gehört zum guten Stoff.
Es kommt natürlich auf die inneren Werte an und die sind Dank Shea Butter,  Jojobaöl und der anderen zu 100% natürlichen und zu 95% organischen Inhaltsstoffe, tadellos. Die Lippenbalsame sind mit Vitamin E angereichert und sind frei von Parabenen und zudem auch noch frei von Gluten. Für die Inhaltsstoffe gehen meine Daumen definitiv hoch, aber können wir bitte mal über die Verpackung sprechen? Wie süß sind die kleinen, teils pastell-farbenen Kugeln? Zucker. Ich kann gar nicht nachvollziehen, warum ich immer seltsam angestarrt werde, wenn ich mir damit in der Öffentlichkeit die Lippen pflege. Zu haben ist der lip balm bei uns leider nur über das Internet. Ich habe die 5er Packung für ca 25€ über Amazon gekauft.
Mein Favorit ist übrigens Sweet Mint. Er kribbelt genauso angenehm wie der lip balm von Carmex, meine bis dahin ungeschlagene Lippenfplegeliebe....


I already showed you my eos lip balm once, in this post here, but I decided to do a separate post, because of two reasons. Number one: because the two lip balms shown there are already gone and I have ordered more and number two: because I love them and I am addicted. I'm a lip balm junkie and that's why I try every lip balm I can find. There is good stuff out there and there is stuff I would like to throw out the window. eos lip balm is definitely good stuff.
It's all about what's inside, sure and what's inside here is great. Shea butter and jojoba oil moisturize dry lips. 100% of the ingredients are natural and 95% are organic and include vitamin e. All eos lip balms are paraben, petrolatum and gluten-free. Thumbs up for what's inside, but can we please pause a moment and talk about the outside? How cute is this packaging? Small, crayon colored balls? Love them. I don't get why people stare at me when I use an eos lip balm in public.
Unfortunately I had to order them online, because we don't have them yet in Germany. I found this pack of five on amazon and paid about 25€ for it.
My favorite is Sweet Mint. It tingles my lips, just like my Carmex does. Oh Carmex, I remember our glory days and you are not forgotten yet, but might have been replaced...

Riri hearts Mac fall: Riri Woo lipstick

Ich bin mal wieder viiiiel zu spät dran. Die Riri hearts Mac holiday collection steht schon in den Startlöchern und mit ihr, ein letztes Mal der Riri Woo Lippenstift.

Deshalb also hier noch eine fixe Review: 

Riri Woo ist ein wunderschöner, matter Rotton mit blauem Unterton. Auf dem

Lippenstift ist der Riri-Schriftzug ebenso eingeprägt wie auf der hübschen Rosé-farbenen Hülse (wie bei dem Exemplar hier aus der Herbst Kollektion). Er hält extrem lange auf den Lippen, trocknet sie aber auch etwas aus. Für noch bessere Haltbarkeit empfehle ich einen Lipliner zu benutzen (in der holiday collection wird es leider keinen passenden Lipliner geben) und auf jeden fall auch etwas Lippenbalsam unter dem Lippenstift, damit er nicht zu trocken ist.

I'm late, as always, but here is a short review of the Riri Woo lipstick from the last Riri hearts Mac fall collection. With the release of the holiday collection you will have one last chance to get your hands on the Riri Woo. 

Riri Woo is a cool red with blue undertones. Rihanna's signature is inscribed on the sides around the lipstick, so it is on the beautiful rose gold packaging from the fall collection. It has a retro matte finish that is a little bit drying. I recommend using some lip balm before applying it. I would also recommend using a lip liner (there will be no matching lip liner included in the collection this time). Riri Woo lasts a pretty long time, only eating takes it all of. 

To me Riri Woo feels like the perfect red. It retails for about 21€.

So be quick and get yours with the release of the holiday collection.

Kann man jemals genug Beautykram haben? Natürlich nicht. Besonders wenn man auch noch so großartige Dinge geschenkt bekommt, wie ich sie hier in diesem post vorstelle.

One can never ever have enough beauty stuff. I received some super pretty gifts lately. Want to see them? Here you go:

Finally! They are mine! Eos lip balm. I think I will write a review on them soon, because they are just great. Thanks to Bibi and Irina I now have two of these little balls. Left is summer fruit and right is pomegranate raspberry. So so good.

Biotherm's Biosource tonic lotion is a classic. Right now it is available in a smaller, limited edition packaging. It contains 125ml, instead of the regular 200ml bottle. Great size if you want to test it before you get the full size. I like that it makes my skin soft and refreshes it. I found this at my local Douglas.

Sometimes a primer comes in handy, though I would recommend not using it everyday, because the silicones most primers contain may not exactly be the healthiest thing you can do for your skin. But from time to time it's nice to use a primer: your make up lasts longer and your skin appears to be very smooth. Benefit's the Porefessional is the best primer I have tested so far. So if you want to splurge get this (Smashbox is also an expert when it comes to primers).

MAC'S Tropical Taboo collection was a hit this summer. This beauty right here was one of the Mineralize Skinfinishes out of the collection. This color is called Adored and it's a peachy coral with champagne shimmer. I like to dust a little over my cheekbones for a nice glow. I'm not sure if I should write a review on this since it was limited and is no longer available. This was a gift, a pretty nice one.

Yes, it's NARS! But nope, this is not Orgasm. This is Deep Throat. It is soooo pretty. I mean look at it. I asked Bibi to get me this in Seattle and only in case of total unavailability to bring Orgasm. I believe that there a tons of reviews on all blushes NARS ever made. So there is not much left to say: They are great. Great pigmentation, great colors, crazy names. Every blush junkie should own one. At least one. Or all.

I can shop beauty stuff at any place. Even at H&M and surprisingly these two products are not bad at all. The Liquid Eyeliner could have a thinner tip, but performs okay. The Eyebrow Pencil in Light Brown is really a bargain (it was 2€ I think). Although I prefer powder for my eyebrows, it's good to fill in some spare areas with a pencil sometimes. And the shade is a good match for my natural brow color.

My boyfriend is the best. Seriously. I just mentioned this once. I was all excited that Marc Jacobs has released a new yummy scent and that the design is so freakin' cute and to be honest: This is girl's stuff. Is there any man on earth who likes to listen to this kind of talk? I didn`t think so. I was wrong. My boyfriend paid attention (he always does) and so Honey ended up being one of my fabulous birthday gifts.

                         The fragrance came with a tiny rollerball, very handy to have it in a purse.

 And there was this cute pouch in the cutest polka dot design, too.

This was another gift I received lately. Jour d'Hermés. The day I discovered this fragrance I had a terrible headache and still could stand the scent. Good sign. Normally I'm not that much into Hermés fragrances, but this is phenomenal. It's fresh, but it's also sweet. Where have you been all my life?
