Fall Favorites

Jetzt ist der Herbst doch tatsächlich beinahe rum. Ich habe mir ein paar Pumpkin Spice und Lebkuchen Café Lattes gegönnt, meine hellen, sommerlichen Klamotten (die Kiste ist nicht besonders groß) verstaut und verbringe sehr viel Zeit in der Küche mit dem Essen und Backen von Keksen. Wie herrlich ist der Herbst? Meiner Meinung nach: Mega!

Wie andere Blogger auch, teile ich meinen (Beauty-)Schrank in Jahreszeiten ein. Die Sommerfarben und -produkte wandern jetzt in die hintere Reihe und ein paar schöne neue Produkte machen es sich an vorderster Front gemütlich. Pünktlich zum fast-Dezember kommen hier meine Favoriten. Falls ihr euch jetzt fragt, auf welcher Mittelmeerinsel ich lebe: Nordrhein-Westfalen. Das Bild habe ich am allerletzten Sonnenschein-Tag aufgenommen und das ist jetzt gefühlt 100 Tage her.

Christmas is less than one month away, I had a couple of pumpkin spice and gingerbread lattes, wear my scarfs and boots on a daily basis and spend a lot of time in the kitchen snacking on cookie dough: fall is more than in full bloom and it's about time for a fall  and winter favorites round up. You might wonder why the pictures were taken in sunlight by this time of the year and the answer is simple. I took them on the last sunny day which feels like a million days ago. And no, unfortunately I haven't moved to the Bahamas. 

Meine Haut braucht in den kälteren Monaten immer etwas mehr Pflege. Am liebsten bekommt sie die abends. Und auch wenn ich das Midnight Recovery von Kiehl's das ganze Jahr lang nutze, ist es ein Herbstfavorit, weil es jetzt so gut wie täglich zum Einsatz kommt. Es ist leicht und zieht gut ein, gibt meiner Haut aber auch alles an Pflege. Ein absoluter Favorit.

My skin isn't very dry per se, except for some occasional dry patches here and there. But when my skin needs remedy I put my trust in Kiehl's Midnight Recovery. This stuff is heaven-sent. I use it through the year so technically it's not only a fall favorite, but with weather like this I use it daily.

MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Stereo Rose

Beim Lippenmakeup setze ich voll auf Rot und Pflaume. Vielleicht sehen hier alle Farben gleich aus, aber ich schwöre, dass es unterschiedliche Töne sind. Da hätten wir den Chanel Rouge Coco in Destinée,  den Chubby Stick Intense von Clinique in Chunkiest Chilli, den Burt's Bees Lip Crayon in Redwood Forest und den Color Bomb Lip Tint von Too Faced in Eastwood Red. Jap, die Rottöne sehen sich schon ziemlich ähnlich... Unter die swatches haben sich auch ein Blush - der Clinique Chubby Stick Cheek Colour Balm in Plumped Up Peony - und der Eyeliner Highliner von Marc Jacobs in Ro(Cocoa) gemischt. 

Mein liebster Highlighter ist nach wie vor der Living Luminizer von rms, aber in der Herbstzeit darf es an manchen Tagen etwas mehr glitzern. Hier kommt das Mineralize Skifinish in Stereo Rose von MAC ins Spiel. Der schimmert schon ordentlich. Wenn der Rest des Makeups dafür dezent bleibt, geht das schon in Ordnung. 

You know I like a nice coral and light blue but give me something black and I'm all yours. I'm similarly in love with fall colors like oxblood, berry and dark plums. Looking at the swatches of my favorite fall lipsticks you can sense a theme there. We have Chanel Rouge Coco Destinèe, Clinique Chubby Stick Intense in Chunkiest Chilli, Burt's Bees Lip Crayon in Redwood Forest and the Too Faced Color Bomb in Eastwood Red. Yes, they're all very similar. I also smuggled in a pretty blush shade here: it's the Clinique Cheek Colour Balm in Plumped Up Peony. A nice way to play up my eyes in the fall, is to line them with the Highliner in Ro(Cocoa) by Marc Jacobs. Although I'm more on the subtle sight of highlighting (the Living Luminizer by rms is my holy grail), I like to amp up that shine once in a while and when I want to shine bright like a diamond I reach for the MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Stereo Rose.

Und schon sind wir bei meinem Lieblings Thema: Nagellack. Zwar schon vorbei, aber mit OPI Every Month is Oktoberfest gibt es immer etwas zu feiern. Schnapps Out of It ist meine neutralste Herbstfarbe. Die Another Day ist die perfekt schimmernde Mischung aus Rot und Orange. Sprung wird aufgepinselt wenn ich etwas mehr Glitzer brauche als gewöhnlich. Deutsch You Want Me Baby ist der herbstlichste Nagellack ever. Er ist Orange und schimmert und Herbstlaub wird neidisch beim Anblick. We'll Always Have Paris ist sowieso einer meiner absoluten Lieblinge und geht immer. 

An easy way to transition from summertime to fall and winter is nail polish. Nothing makes me more happy then put on fresh nail paint. Among my favorites for this time of the year are these: OPI Every Month is Oktoberfest is always a reason to celebrate, even if Oktoberfest is over. Schnapps Out of It is a pretty fall neutral because it's not flat but not in your face either. Die Another Day is the perfect shimmering mix of red and orange. Sprung is a trusted source for some serious sparkle and when you don't want to commit to chunky glitter. Deutsch You Want Me Baby is like the most perfect fall shade ever. Just look at it. It's all there: Pumpkin, Shimmer, fallen leaves. It makes me want to hug it.  And last but not least: We'll Always Have Paris. It's dark and vampy and I love it.

Dufttechnisch darf es im Herbst etwas opulenter und süßer sein. Gucci Première passt hier bestens. Er ist ein wenig süß, ein wenig schwer aber ohne diese "Kopfschmerzenschwere". Wenn es draußen schon so kalt ist, dass man seinen Atem sehen kann, dann flüchte ich schnurstracks ins traute Heim. Und dann darf meine Bude noch intensiver duften als sonst: Absolute Herbstklassiker sind Home Sweet Home und Mandarin Cranberry von Yankee Candle. Anzünden und sich in die Decke kuscheln.

Und ihr so?

Fall requires fall scents. I just can't walk around spritzzing on some citrusy fresh notes. Fall wants heavier and more decadent fragrances. I suggest Gucci's Première. For me it is heavy but without giving me headaches and has a balanced out sweetness to it. Once the days are shorter and you can see your breath because of the cold when your outside, I like to spend more time inside and then I bring on the heavier scents for my home as well. Yankee Candle's Home Sweet Home and Mandarin Cranberry turn any room into a cozy cave.

My winter essentials

Als ich heute morgen aus dem Fenster sah, hatte ich nur einen Gedanken: Kalt. Über Nacht ist ordentlich Schnee gefallen und spätestens jetzt ist es an der Zeit, meine absoluten "eisig kalter Winter essentials" zu präsentieren. Zunächst mal ein kleiner Eindruck meiner Umwelt an diesem heutigen Tage. Zu sehen ist nicht etwa das Innere einer Schneekugel, sondern der Blick aus meinem Wohnzimmerfenster.

Da ich zwar ein Mützenfreund bin, aber Mützen mein Haar nicht nur platt und matt aussehen lassen , sondern auch meinen Ansatz in sekundenschnelle nachfetten lassen, verzichte ich oft darauf. Das bedeutet auch, dass meine Haare den nordpolartigen Brisen gnadenlos ausgesetzt sind. Deshalb brauchen sie viel Pflege. Um besonders meine Spitzen vor dem Austrocknen zu schützen, sprühe ich nach der Wäsche die Keratin Boost Essenz aus der Luxe Oil Serie von Wella Professionals ins Haar. Argan-, Jojoba- und Mandelöl geben dann alles um meine Spitzen nicht in Stroh zu verwandeln. Und wie das riecht. Man sollte es essen dürfen.

Seitdem ich mein erstes Duschgel von Philosophy kaufte, bin ich der Marke hoffnungslos verfallen. Wahrscheinlich auch, weil sie in Deutschland nicht erhältlich ist. Wann immer ich also etwas von Philosophy entdecke, wird es gnadenlos eingetütet. Ich schnuppere schon gar nicht mehr am Deckel, um zu sehen ob mir der Duft gefällt. Bei meiner Nummer eins Winterpflege fürs Gesicht musste ich das auch gar nicht. Der berühmte hope in a jar high-performance moisturizer überzeugt auch so. Hat Oprah nicht mal behauptet, dass dies die beste Feuchtigkeitspflege sei? Würde Oprah uns anlügen? Niemals. Where there is hope there can be faith heißt es auf der Verpackung, ich habe meine Hoffnungen in diese reichhaltige und doch super schnell einziehende Pflege gesetzt und wurde nicht enttäuscht. Ich will jetzt nicht sagen, dass ich einer alternativen Philosophy-Glaubensgemeinschaft beitreten würde, aber für eine Flasche Raspberry Glazed oder French Vanilla Bean oder Cinnamon Buns des 3-in1 cleansers bekommt ihr meine Unterschrift, liebe Schwestern und Brüder. 

Ich bin nicht nur ein Mützen, sondern auch ein Handschuhverweigerer. Meistens jedenfalls. Damit fühlen sich die Hände irgendwie so fremd an. Deswegen brauchen die Patschehändchen ein Extra an Aufmerksamkeit. Obwohl ich im Moment völlig besessen bin von einer anderen Handcreme (mehr dazu bald auf dem blog), ist die Kiehl's Ultimate Strength Hand Salve genau das Richtige bei Minusgraden. Sie ist fett, reichhaltig und zieht ewig nicht ein. Deswegen trage ich sie bevorzugt nur auf den Handoberflächen auf. Dort sorgt sie dann dafür, dass meine Hände dem Winter den Feuchtigkeitsmittelfinger zeigen können. 

Was aber ist die liebste Zielscheibe des Winters? Genau, die Lippen. Die brauchen ein Schutzschild wie es Captain America hat. Würde nur mitten im Gesicht kein Sinn machen wenn man nicht das ganze Kostüm dazu trägt. Deswegen vertraue ich einem alten Bekannten: Carmex. Ich liebe meine eos Kugeln und all die anderen Lippenpflegestifte, die in meinen Taschen leben, aber Carmex breitet bei Wind&Wetter seinen schützenden Schirm aus wie kein anderer. Am liebsten mag ich den Carmex Ultra Smooth Vanilla Lip Balm Stick mit SPF 15. So und jetzt geh heulen, Winter. Du wirst hier nicht mehr gebraucht. 

I really like hats and beanies. But whenever I wear let's say a beanie, my head seems to punish me with flat and matte hair and leaving my fresh hair desperately longing for dry shampoo or another hair wash. So I often resist the urge to wear a beanie or headband and therefore my hair needs a lot of moisture to make it through the winter. After I have washed my hair I use Wella Professional's Keratin Boost Essence from their Luxe Oil range. It protects the ends of my hair from turning into straw with a mixture of argan, almond and jojoba oils. And the scent is amazing. 

Since I got my first shower gel from Philosophy, I'm hooked. I'm as addicted as you can get. Maybe because Philosophy isn't available in Germany. So whenever I spot a product with the typical recipe on the packaging I take it home with me. I don't even have to take a sniff to see if I like the scent, because I know that I do. When I came across Philosophy's hope in a jar high-performance moisturizer I walked to the checkout like a remotely controlled robot. I believe that Oprah once said that this stuff is good and Oprah would not lie to us. On the jar it says where there is hope there can be faith and yes, I'm a believer. This is just perfect for colder temperatures. It is creamy, but not heavy, moisturizes my skin but sinks just right in. I love it. I don't mind joining a Philosophy community of faith as long as you hand me a bottle of their french vanilla bean or raspberry glazed or cinnamon buns three-in-one cleanser. Please welcome me in your midst, brothers and sisters. 

Are you a fan of gloves? I'm not. Wearing them my hands feel like they no longer belong to my body and start doing weird things and every time I touch something it feels like it will slip out my hands any minute. But winter shows no mercy for unprotected hands. That's why I reach for Kiehl's Ultimate Strength Hand Salve (there is another hand cream I love soon on the blog). It's thick formula protects the skin and leaves it hydrated for a long, long time. It is a heavy hand cream that likes to sit on the surface for a while, so I prefer to apply it only to the backs of my hands. Take this, winter and watch me waving you goodbye without gloves.

And finally to the most sensitive area in my face: My lips. This is where temperatures below zero hit me the hardest. I wish I could use Captain America's shield to protect them, but it looks ridiculous without the whole costume and I don't look good in blue. There is only one lip balm I can rely on these days: Carmex. Although I love my eos and benefit and all the other lip balms I hoard in my purse, Carmex is the only one who isn't afraid of the cold. I like the Carmex Ultra Smooth Vanilla Lip Balm Stick with SPF 15, because I can sneak it in every pocket. In your face, winter. That's how it's done.

My Kiehl's advent calendar: Days 13-24

Das Beste an Weihnachten neben Zeit mit der Familie, Essen und Geschenken? Genau, die 24 Türchen des Adventskalenders. Mein Adventskalender in diesem Jahr kam von Kiehl's und meinem boyfriend und ich muss sagen, dass ich hoch erfreut über den Inhalt war. Die ersten zwölf Tage zeigte ich bereits hier und die restlichen zwölf sollen heute folgen. Ich habe zwar noch nicht soooo viel ausprobiert, aber ein paar Eindrücke kann ich schildern. 

Wie auch schon das Nashi Blossom & Pink Grapefruit Aromatic Mist von Tag 9 gefallen mir auch die beiden Varianten Patchouli & Fresh Rose und Vetiver & Black Tea ganz gut. Die Düfte sind leicht und leider auch sehr kurzlebig. Sind aber auch nur "mists" also eher als Duftschleier gedacht und nicht als eigentliches Parfum. Die Minigröße eignet sich natürlich hervorragend für die Hand- und oder Partytasche oder auch als Notfallduft falls man mal wieder das Parfum vergessen hat. In meinem Fall also oft. Gespannt bin ich auf die Ultra Facial Overnight Hydrating Masque von Tag 15. Den Cleanser und Toner finde ich ja schon ziemlich gut und die Maske wird wahrscheinlich auch ins Bild passen. Noch ein bisschen gespannter bin ich auf die Midnight Recovery Eye (cream? treatment? serum? Mir fehlt da ein Wort, die können das doch nicht mit Absicht machen) von Tag 14. Das Midnight Recovery Concentrate ist jetzt schon ein absolutes Musthave für mich, da erwarte ich natürlich auch eine ähnlich gute Leistung von der Augenpflege. Das Ausprobieren muss allerdings noch ein wenig warten bis mein Creamy Eye Treatment aufgebraucht ist. Die Produkte der Tage 16-18 warten noch auf ihren Einsatz.

Den Skin Rescuer Stress-Minimizing Daily Hydrator (Tag 19) habe ich vorgestern das erste Mal bei Wind, Schnee und Kälte aufgetragen und muss leider feststellen, dass er in Kombination mit Foundation oder Puder etwas zu reichhaltig für meine Haut ist. Solo super, aber in Kombination leider eher weniger. Von der Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Masque habe ich schon oft positive Reviews gelesen und kaum war das Türchen mit der Nummer 20 geöffnet, kam das erste Sachet auch schon rauf aufs Gesicht. Meine Wangenpartie ist im Moment etwas gereizt und fand die Maske nicht so grandios, aber der Rest meines Gesichts war danach babyhautweich. Sollte sich die Haut an meinen Wangen demnächst auch noch damit anfreunden können, haben wir hier einen Nachkaufkandidaten. Die Actively Correcting &Beautyfying BB Cream (Tag 21) ist auch ganz nice. Die Konsistenz ist dünn genug um nicht maskenhaft zu wirken und der hohe Lichtschutzfaktor ist top. Die Farbe Natural ist nur leider zu dunkel für mich und dunkelt gefühlt noch ordentlich nach. "Du sieht so braun aus. Frisch, aber braun" - da ich normalerweise eher leichenblass bin, war das ein deutlicher Hinweis meiner Freunde darauf, dass ich das nächste Mal keine braune Schuhcreme fürs Gesicht benutzen soll. Die Ultimate Strength Hand Salve in Fullsize gab es am letzten Tag und wurde auch schon fleißig ausprobiert. Sie pflegt die Hände butterweich, ist aber auch sehr reichhaltig und die Handinnenflächen haben auch lange etwas davon. Ich trage sie daher lieber nachts auf und lasse sie als Maske einwirken. 

Fazit: Ein paar neue Lieblinge waren auf jeden fall dabei und sollte es den Kalender im nächsten Jahr wieder geben, wird er ratzfatz bestellt. 

I do love a good advent calendar and although chocolate is pretty much everything, this year I opted for a fancy beauty calendar and the one by Kiehl's just seemed like the best option. I already showed you the content of days 1-12 (this way for all the details) and today I want to show you what came next. 

I liked the Nashi Blossom & Pink Grapefruit Aromatic Mist I got on day nine and the other scents Patchouli & Fresh Rose and Vetiver & Black Tea are also very lovely. They are aromatic mists and so they aren't long lasting and I have to sprizz them on quite often if I intend to wear them as a fragrance, but they are great to carry them around in your purse or party bag for a quick fresh up. I can't wait to try out Kiehl's Ultra Facial Overnight Hydrating Masque (day 15). The Ultra Facial Cleanser and Toner already own a spot in my heart and I'm pretty sure that the masque is only waiting in line to be loved. I am beyond excited that they put the Midnight Recovery Eye (cream? or is it a treatment? I feel like there's a word missing in the product's name, what are you doing to me Kiehl's? I need a clear description of the stuff I'm using) in the calendar. I've fallen head over heels in love with the Midnight Recovery Concentrate and believe that I will love the eye cream/treatment/concentrate as well, buuuut I want to use up the Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado first.

When the first snow in december was falling on monday I used the Skin Rescuer Stress-Minimizing Daily Hydrator (day 19) for the first time and I learned the hard way that in my case it is best to use this on its own without foundation or powder, because otherwise the foundation gets patchy on my skin. I read some good reviews on their Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Masque (day 20), I think someone raved about this on into the gloss and that's when I really got interested in it. So as soon as I spotted it in my calendar I ribbed one of the little packages open and put the greyish mud all over my face. The skin on my cheeks is irritated at the moment, only lord knows why and unfortunately the masque didn't improve the redness there but the rest of my face responded well to it with incredibly soft skin. I think I'm getting the full size. On day 21 a sample of Kiehl's Actively Correcting &Beautyfying BB Cream made an appearance in the calendar and only a few minutes later on my face. It doesn't look cakey and I like that it protects my skin with SPF 50. It's available in four shades and "Natural" is definitely too dark for me. It even gets darker once it dried down and my friends told me that I look "unusually fresh and tanned". Well I don't get much of a tan, so yes this was a nice way of saying "what ever is on your face, get it off". On christmas eve the second full size product, the Ultimate Strength Hand Salve waited behind the last door. Actually this doesn't feel too thick, but it gets all greasy in my palms so I prefer to use this as a hand mask at nights.

My Kiehl's advent calendar: Days 1-12

Jetzt sind es nur noch 7 Tage bis Weihnachten. Wahnsinn wie die Zeit läuft. Ich komme mir zwar immer so alt vor wenn ich das sage, aber so fühlt es sich wirklich an. Wie auch immer. Mein boyfriend hat mir in diesem Jahr den fantastischen Kiehl's Adventskalender geschenkt und ich finde ihn großartig. Die Tage 1-12 waren schon mal voller guter Überraschungen. Ich möchte hier nicht all zu sehr ins Detail gehen, aber über meine Favoriten muss ich einfach mal ein, zwei, drei Worte verlieren:

Die Ultra Facial Cream von Tag 1 finde ich nice. Zieht schnell ein, hinterlässt keinen fiesen Fettfilm und darf gerne noch einen Lichtschutzfaktor eingebaut bekommen.
Der Ultra Facial Cleanser von Tag 3 fühlt sich ziemlich gut an auf der Haut. Der wird noch weiter getestet. Genauso wie der Ultra Facial Toner von Tag 4. Er hat eine interessante Konsistenz. Irgendwie weniger wässrig und ziemlich milchig.
Völlig umgehauen hat mich das Midnight Recovery Concentrate von Tag 2. Ich kann den Bestsellerstatus absolut nachvollziehen. Sobald die beiden Proben aufgebraucht sind, kommt er auf die Wunschliste.
Das Amino Acid Shampoo von Tag 10 duftet nicht nur herrlich nach Kokos, weil ja auch Kokosöl enthalten ist, sondern hat meine Haare auch wunderbar weich gemacht. Extrapunkte gibt's für die fehlenden Silikone. Minuspunkte für den volumenkillenden Aspekt.

Das Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado (in Originalgrösse) gab es zum Nikolaustag. Es ist recht reichhaltig, pflegt aber auch ordentlich. Noch kooperiert es nicht so optimal mit meinem Concealer und meiner Mascara. Mal sehen was sich da noch machen lässt.

Time flies. Only 7 days left until Christmas. This year my boyfriend hooked me up with Kiehl's über cool advent calendar aka 24 skin and hair care surprises. Let's see what I like so far:

Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream (day 1) is pretty nice. My skin absorbs it well, but the missing SPF is kind of meh. The Ultra Facial Cleanser (day3) feels good on my skin. It's not as drying as other cleansers. The following day Kiehl's milky fine and moisturizing Ultra Facial Toner made an appearance in my calendar. I can totally understand why their Midnight Recovery Concentrate is a bestseller. So good. Already on my wishlist after I discovered it on day 2. Some tropical island scented goodness waited on day 10: the Amino Acid Shampoo with coconut oil smells heavenly and leaves my hair perfectly silky. Bonus points for being silicone free, but thumps down for adding zero volume to my hair. On day 6 Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado was waiting for me. It's creamy but not as soft as my regular all about eyes cream by Clinique. It's not a fan of my concealer and mascara combination yet (I had a serious raccoon eyes situation going on), but I will figure out how to make it work.

New in: Beauty - birthday gift edition

Mein Geburtstag ist zwar jetzt schon ein paar Tage oder auch einen Monat her, aber meine fabelhaften Geschenke aus dem Bereich Beauty möchte ich der Menschheit nicht vorenthalten. Ein paar Dinge habe ich mir vorher noch schnell selbst gekauft und sie mir dann quasi selbst geschenkt. Geburtstage sind immer eine gute Ausrede um noch mehr Beautykram zu kaufen. So nun aber auf zur Bilderflut.

Eigentlich brauchte ich gar keine neuen Pflegeprodukte. Ha-ha. Wann habe ich jemals etwas nicht gebraucht? Außerdem mag ich diese Pflegeserie von Lancaster sehr gerne. Deshalb wanderten neben der Foundation und der samples oben auf den Bildern zu sehen auch noch der Lancaster Softening Protecting Toner und der Softening Cleansing Foam ins Einkaufskörbchen.

So I took them, the foundation and all the samples you see above home with me and was one happy beauty junkie that day.

That's the case with Especially Escada Elixir. I can't recall how often I wanted to buy this fragrance and somehow never did. Until last month when my parents gave it to me as a birthday gift after I purchased it for myself and handed them the bill for it.

Wenn ich die kleinen Nagelhautpflegedöschen nicht ständig verlieren würde, hätte ich davon sicher auch unzählige Exemplare. Aber irgendwie verschwinden die immer in meinen Handtaschen aka Bermudadreiecken. Die liebe Brini hatte scheinbar Mitleid und hat mir dieses zuckersüße Tips and Toes Kit von Burt's Bees besorgt. Die cuticle butter kannte ich schon und mag sie total. Auch die Almond & Milk Hand Cream ist mir nicht unbekannt und duftet so himmlisch nach Marzipantörtchen, dass ich meine Hände gerne abschlecken möchte. Aber ich kann mich grad noch so zusammenreißen. Die restliche Produkte des Tips and Toes Sets wurden auch schon ausprobiert und für gut befunden.

If you know me than you can say for sure that I love a good hand cream. My collection is huge. My collection of cuticle balms isn't, because I tend to loose this little tins as soon as I have them for a week or so. One day I will find them all in one of my handbags or maybe one in every single hand bag. We'll see. This lovely Burt's Bees Tips and Toes Kit was a gift from Brini. I think she has some mind reading skills. How did she know that I lost my cuticle balm just recently? Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream included in the kit is great. So is the Almond & Milk Hand Cream. It smells like dessert. I want to lick my hands after applying it. Seriously.

Wann braucht man eigentlich keinen Gutschein von Douglas? Das hat sich Ania auch gedacht und mich damit beschenkt. Eine Handseife und Gesichtsmaske hat sie mir auch noch mit ins Tütchen gelegt. Und eine Handmaske gab es auch noch dazu. Handcreme reicht manchmal auch einfach nicht. Schon gar nicht in der Winterzeit.

Den Lip Crayon von Zoeva in der Farbe Tender Rose habe ich mir zwischendurch gegönnt. Es ist eine schöne Alltagsfarbe und reiht sich demnach gut in mein übliches Beuteschema ein. Der doch schon deutliche Glanz den der Stift mitbringt, hat mich allerdings überrascht. Aber es muss ja auch nicht immer alles matt sein.

Zoeva's Lip Crayon is a recent beauty buy. Tender Rose is a nice everyday color, like most of the colors in my collection. It's surprisingly glossy. Have to get used to it, because I'm more into matte colors recently.

Das Hydro-Plumping Re-Texturizing Serum Concentrate von Kiehl's, der Photo Finish Foundation Primer von Smashbox und das Annayake Reinigungstuch gab es als Goodies zu meiner Bestellung bei Douglas. Genauso wie den GinZing Energy-Boosting Moisturizer von Origins. Hätte der noch einen Lichtschutzfaktor, wäre ich so richtig angetan.

Kiehl's Hydro-Plumping Re-Texturizing Serum Concentrate as well as the Photo Finish Foundation Primer by Smashbox and Annayake's Make up Remover Sponge were goodies I got on top of my last Douglas order. As well as the GinZing Energy-Boosting Moisturizer by Origins. I really like this moisturizer, but unfortunately it has no SPF. So please Origins, think about including it.

Überraschung. Eine Handcreme. Die Hand Food Handcreme von Soap&Glory ist ein Kandidat für so ein typisches Hass-Liebe-Ding. Manchmal mag ich den Duft total gerne und manchmal bleibt die Tube tagelang zu. Am liebsten verwende ich die Handcreme übrigens vor dem Schlafen gehen. Dann stört mich der etwas fettige Film in den Handinnenflächen nicht so. Ach und die The Righteous Butter Body Lotion gab es bei jeder Soap & Glory Bestellung dazu. Wie gut ist das?

There it is again. Hand cream. It is a kind of love and hate relationship with the Hand Food hand cream by Soap &Glory. On some days I love the scent and on others I can't stand it. I don't know, it's weird. I like to use it at night so I can stand the slightly greasy feeling it leaves behind. Oh and their The Righteous Butter Body Lotion was a bonus I got, because I ordered the hand cream. Yes, I'm a sucker for goodies.

Zu dem Produkt gibt es nicht viel zu sagen. Batiste macht für mich das beste Trockenshampoo. Ich habe schon zig Dosen geleert und habe immer mindestens ein Back-up auf Lager. Sowohl die großen, als auch die kleinen Dosen tummeln sich in meinem Badezimmer.

There is not much to say about Batiste. I love their Dry Shampoos. They are life and time savers. I always have several back ups of them in my bathroom. I have them in both sizes, travel size and full size. Because you never know when or where you come across a greasy strand. Don't get me wrong, I don't sit there in a restaurant spraying my hair with it like a crazy person, but it's nice to have a small can at hand just in case.

Ich freue mich ja immer über goodies. Aber manchmal bin ich ein bisschen mehr aus dem Häuschen als nur "yaaay". Zum Beispiel wenn Douglas im Newsletter einen Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Demolition zu jeder Bestellung über 39€ verspricht. Dann gehts los. Da wird der Warenkorb schneller gefüllt als ich gucken kann. Und Demolition und ich haben uns richtig angefreundet. Ein kleiner leicht verwischter Lidstrich und schon ists schöner am Morgen.

When Douglas sends me their newsletter, announcing that every order above 39€ gets a free Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Demolition, I immediately start filling that virtual basket. I really like this pencil for a quick, smudged out swipe above my lash line.

Das letzte Geschenk ist von meinem boyfriend, der immer sehr aufmerksam ist. Ich sagte neulich mal "Ich habe noch gar nichts von Burberry in meiner Sammlung. So ein Lip Cover in Antique Rose passt da optimal rein". Und zack schon konnte ich das Päckchen an meinem Geburtstag öffnen und ein Häckchen hinter Burberry in der 'Fehlt noch'-Liste machen. Ist er nicht toll? Und nein, er sieht nicht aus wie alle anderen Lippenstifte in meiner Lippenstiftschublade. Ein Schelm wer sowas denkt. Der sieht nämlich von außen ganz anders aus. Und der riecht auch anders.

The last thing is a birthday gift from my very thoughtful boyfriend. I always think that he overhears sentences like "You know what is really missing in my collection? Burberry. Their Lip Cover in Antique Rose is so pretty". Guess what I got on my bday to complete my collection. Some of you may think that there is nothing special about yet another rosewood colored lipstick, but you're wrong. It has a different packaging than my other lip sticks and has a different scent and the packaging is magnetic and I love it and we belong together.
