Sisley Phyto-Eye Twist Topaze, Khaki, Steel

Es gibt bestimmte Beautybrands, die lassen mein Herz einfach höher schlagen. Natürlich sind es immer die jenigen, die in Deutschland nicht erhältlich sind. Marc Jacobs Beauty, Fresh, Too Faced, Bite Beauty, Philosophy...die Liste ist lang. Aber auch hierzulande gibt es ein paar Namen, die meine Augen zum Strahlen bringen. Sisley zum Beispiel. Sisley ist schick und luxuriös aber irgendwie auch mit understatement verbunden. Und klar, nicht ganz so erschwinglich. Ich habe vor einiger Zeit das wunderhübsche Orchideen Blush geschenkt bekommen und weil es nicht nur eine zauberhafte Verpackung hat, sondern auch das Innenleben so so schön ist, hüte ich es wie einen Schatz (ich frage mich gerade, warum es dazu noch keine Blogpost gibt??!). Genau so geht es mir mit der neuesten Produktentwicklung aus dem Hause Sisley. Nach den Phyto Lip Twists gibt es nun auch die Phyto-Eye Twists. Für Pieper durfte ich exklusiv drei Nuancen der neuen Reihe testen (vielen Dank dafür!) und habe mich sogar mal daran versucht das geschminkte Ergebnis auf Fotos festzuhalten (spoiler: Das kann ich in etwa so gut wie Mathe= gar nicht). 

Aber erst mal zum Produkt: Bei den Photo Eye Twists handelt es sich um wasserfeste Lidschatten mit langanhaltender Formel. Schöner klingt es allerdings, wenn Sisley selbst das Produkt vorstellt: 

Phyto-Eye Twist ist ein All-in-one Make-up für die Augen: Lidschatten + Augenstift + Eyeliner. Eine Jumbo-Mine mit seidiger und schmelzender Textur vereinfacht das Auftragen der Farbe auf den Augenlidern und ermöglicht ein Make-up in grafischer Form oder das Zeichnen eines Lidstrichs in XXL Format. Die Formel ist angereichert an pflanzlichen Aktivstoffen (grüner Tee, weiße Lilie und Kamille) um die zarte Haut der Lider zu schützen.Die ultrasanfte und wasserfeste Textur erlaubt eine einfache Anwendung und eine besonders lange Haltbarkeit den ganzen Tag über.Die magnetischen Farben unterstreichen den Blick und bieten ein vielseitiges Ergebnis.Der praktische neue Jumbo-Stift im angesagten Zebra-Print muss nicht angespitzt werden.

Was natürlich als erstes ins Auge sticht ist die Verpackung: Schwarz-weiße Zebrastreifen mit knallblauem Schriftzug. Danach muss man in der Tasche nicht lange suchen. Die Lidschattenstifte kommen in der mittlerweile bewährten Chubbystick-Form daher und sind dadurch super handlich. Ich zähle mich zu den treuen Anhängern der Stiftform, ob nun für Lippen oder Wangen. Ich mag sie eigentlich alle. Deshalb gefällt mir die Form hier sehr gut, auch wenn sie sich weniger dafür eignet einen dünnen Lidstrich zu ziehen. Das oben angesprochene "XXL Format" gelingt damit allerdings perfekt. 

Die Textur der Phyto-Eye Twist ist in der Tat seidig. Sie gleiten mühelos über die Haut und geben viel Farbe ab. Es gibt kaum etwas unangenehmeres als Augenprodukte, die an der Haut zerren und sich kaum von der Stelle bewegen. 

Zum Testen erhielt ich die Farben 1 Topaze, ein schimmerndes, goldenes Beige; 3 Khaki, ein schimmerndes Khakigrün und 4 Steel, ein silbrig schimmerndes Dunkelgrau. Die drei Nuancen sagen mir sehr zu, weil sie sowohl einzeln aufgetragen, als auch in Kombination richtig gut aussehen. Topaz und Khaki sind einzeln schon super und zusammen der Knaller. 

Über einer Base aufgetragen halten die Phyto-Eye Twist ihr Versprechen sogar ganz gut ein. Sie halten den ganzen Tag und setzen sich erst nach ein paar Stunden in der Lidfalte ab. Leider bin ich damit noch nicht ins kühle Nass gesprungen und kann nicht sagen, ob sie eine Poolparty überstehen. Ich bin aber gerne bereit das bei warmen Temperaturen im Planschbecken meiner Patentochter nachzuholen. 

Einen kleinen Punkt Abzug gibt es für den Schimmer: Auch nach dem Abschminken sind die Schimmerpartikel überall um die Augen verteilt. Ich nenne dieses Phänomen discoball-eye. Würde ich mein Gesicht anschließend nicht noch mit einem Cleanser reinigen, wäre das ein echtes Problem. Aber kein Grund zur Panik solange man nicht nur mit etwas Mizellenlösung und ein paar Wattepads arbeitet. 

Auf den Fotos unten habe ich ein Auge mit Topaze und Khaki geschminkt. Topaze habe ich als Base verwendet und mit Khaki das Auge umrandet. Dem anderen Auge habe ich einen XXL Lidstrich mit Steel verpasst. Ich finde, dass Steel so eine Ausgehfarbe ist. Den Lidstrich würde ich genau so auftragen, wenn ich mit den Mädels einen draufmache. Dazu Lippen in Nude, einen Hauch Bronzepuder, viel Mascara und los gehts. 

Preislich liegen die Phyto-Eye Twists bei 35,50€. Es gibt sicher günstigere Alternativen, aber was Textur und Haltbarkeit angeht, sind die Moneten hier nicht ganz falsch investiert.

Same goes with Sisley's latest innovation. After the success of their Phyto Lip Twists, they released a collection of Phyto-Eye Twists. Pieper hooked me up with three shades to play around and share my opinion with you (thank you, Pieper!). I let Sisley introduce you to their new Phyto-Eye Twists:

First things first: Packaging. The Phyto-Eye Twists come in a chubby stick style packaging with zebra print and a blue label. The packaging is indeed eye catching so no ten minute search for them in your purse. You know my love for chubby sticks, I like them for lips, I love them for blush and of course I also like them for eye shadow. The only downside is that its not that easy to use them for a thin line above your lashes, but anything from creating a base to drawing a XXL line is easy. The texture of these is silky and glides on the lids, no tugging or pulling.

I received three shades for my review: 1 Topaze is a bronzy shimmering beige, 3 Khaki is a shimmering green and 4 Steel is a shimmering dark grey. Topaze is a great base and worn alone it can be blended for a nice wash of color all over the lids. Paired with Khaki it is more of a sophisticated look. Steel is a great option for a thick eyeliner and the perfect eye look for a girl's nightout. Just add a nude lip and a bit of bronzer, loads of mascara and you're good to go. I tried to take pictures of both options and didn't exactly succeed. I guess my eye makeup photographing skills will develop over time. At least I hope so. 

In terms of longevity the Phyto-Eye Twist lives up to its claims. I used a base underneath and experienced some minor creasing issues after a couple of hours of wear. I can't tell if they are waterproof just yet, but I'm willing to jump in my god daughter's kids pool to see if I could rock a coachella style pool party with some color on my lids. 

I just have one minor issue to report: When removing the Phyto-Eye Twists from my lids with some micellar lotion and cotton buds I'm left with shimmer and glitter all over my eyes. I call this the discoball-eye. Just use a cleanser afterwards to get rid of the shimmer. 

The Photo-Eye Twists by Sisley retail for 35,50€/50$ each. Pricey, I know. But in terms of texture and longevity they are worth the price tag.

Notd: OPI On Air Perso-nail-ity

Ich habe seit einer gefühlten Ewigkeit keinen Nagellack mehr vorgestellt. Das liegt nicht daran, dass ich aufgehört habe mir die Nägel zu lackieren. Das wird in etwa niemals passieren. Irgendwie hatten andere posts und leider auch wichtiger Unikram Vorrang. Deswegen wird es auch in Zukunft nicht mehr jede Woche einen Nagellackpost geben, stattdessen werde ich von Zeit zu Zeit einfach mein Notd einstreuen wann immer eine Farbe neu und aufregend ist. 

Den Anfang macht heute On Air Person-nail-ity aus der QVC UK Exclusive Collection. Den habe ich zusammen mit From Me to Q (hier zu sehen) und Sea You in Hollywood bei TKMaxx ergattert. 

On Air Perso-nail-ity ist etwas girly und passt super in die Frühlingszeit. Es is ein Pink mit etwas Koralle und schönem Schimmer. Im Sonnenlicht wird der Schimmerschalter so richtig angeknipst. Drei Schichten braucht er um voll deckend zu sein. Ist aber nicht weiter schlimm, weil er recht dünn ist und dadurch fix trocknet. Außerdem hat uns Gott den Seche Vite Dry Fast Topcoat gegeben und damit trocknet alles in sekundenschnelle.

Gestern habe ich On Air Perso-nail-ity zusammen mit dem Almost Lipstick in Flirty Honey von Clinique getragen (hier zu sehen oder hier auf Instagram). Für jemanden der Schwarz fast mehr liebt als Erdnussbutter, ist so viel Pink aber auch nur einmal in der Woche zu ertragen^^

The last time I posted some nail polish swatches is like ages ago. Its not like I don't wear nail polish anymore, because this will neve ever happen. I just felt like other blog posts excite me more and I have to do a lot of uni stuff right now and wanted to concentrate on this and other blog content. So I decided that there will be no nail polish of the week here, but I will throw in a notd once in a while whenever I wear a new and exciting nail polish. So let's start with OPI On Air Person-nail-ity today. This was one of three nail polishes of a QVC UK Exclusive collection. I found this one at my local TKMaxx last year. I already showed you From Me to Q here. Sea You in Hollywood is the third color of the set, you will surely see this on the blog one day. So On Air Person-nail-ity is a very girly pink with fine shimmer and just a tiny hint of coral in it. When the sunlight hits my nails the shimmer becomes very visible and vivid. On Air Perso-nail-ity is a little bit thin formulawise, so that I needed three coats for full coverage. But it dries quickly and with a little help of my dear friend Seche Vite dry fast top coat you take a deep breath and your nails are done. 

Yesterday I paired On Air Perso-nail-ity with Clinique's Almost lipstick in Flirty Honey (see it here or here on Instagram). For someone who loves black nearly as much as peanut butter this is a whole lot of pink and can only happen once a week^^

Der OPI Nagellack der Woche: Lincoln Park After Dark Suede

Frohes neues Jahr! Ich hoffe, dass 2015 ein fabelhaftes Jahr wird. Ich fiebere jetzt schon dem Release der Opi Hawaii Kollektion entgegen und bin schon gespannt auf die Holiday Kollektion. Jetzt aber erstmal zum letzten Lack des alten und dem ersten des neuen Jahres. Um 2015 einzuläuten habe ich Lincoln Park After Dark in der Suede Version getragen. Wie sehr mir die Suede Lacke aus der Herbst Kollektion 2009 gefallen, habe ich bereits hier lang und breit in einer Lobrede aufgeschrieben und auch Lincoln Park After Dark Suede ist einfach nur toll. Dieses Suede-Finish kann einfach alles. Mit dem echten Lincoln Park After Dark hat dieser hier wenig gemeinsam. Als Suede ist er viel heller, schimmert wunderschön metallisch und ist herrlich matt. Die Trockenzeit ist kaum länger als ein Wimpernschlag, da macht es mir auch nicht viel aus, dass die Farbe ziemlich anfällig ist. Nach zwei Tagen zeigen sich schon erste Anzeichen von Tipwear. Nicht weiter schlimm. Wenn die Maniküre in unter fünf Minuten erledigt ist, dann kann auch öfter neu lackiert werden. 

Happy new year! 2014 is over and 2015 will hopefully be a great year. I can't wait for the OPI Hawaii collection and am already excited to see what their holiday collection will look like. But on to already existing but hard to get colors. To celebrate the ending of the old and the beginning of the new year I wore Lincoln Park After Dark Suede. It belongs to the fall 2009 Suede collection. I already showed you You Don't Know Jacques Suede here and told you how much I love this matte finish. Lincoln Park After Dark Suede is a shimmering purple with the same silky matte finish. It's a lot lighter than the original Lincoln Park After Dark. I prefer the Suede finish over the original creme and you probably know how much I love a good creme nail polish. First signs of tipwear appeared after two days, but I don't care because drying time is like five minutes. Fastest mani ever.

Der OPI Nagellack der Woche: Thanks So Muchness!

Ich bin natürlich super spät dran, aber trotzdem: Frohe Weihnachten! Ich hoffe, ihr hattet ein zauberhaftes Weihnachtsfest und wurdet mehr als reich beschenkt. So gemütlich und schön die Weihnachtszeit auch immer ist, so stressig ist sie auch. Alle Familienmitglieder wollen besucht werden und viel gutes Essen verdrückt werden. Die Zeit die man mit Vorbereitungen, Geschenke einpacken, Essen kochen und im Auto verbringt lässt leider wenig Zeit fürs bloggen. Aber heute gibt es endlich meinen Lack der Woche zu sehen. Thanks So Muchness! aus der Alice in Wonderland Kollektion aus dem Frühjahr 2010 ist für mich das perfekte Weihnachtsrot. Es ist ein mittleres Rotpink mit ultrafeinem Schimmer. Kaum sichtbar, aber er verleiht dem Lack so eine schöne Dimension. Thanks So Muchness! erinnert mich an Zuckerstangen, Paradiesäpfel und rote Christbaumkugeln. Genau das brauche ich zur Weihnachtszeit.


I know I'm late, but I hope you all had a merry christmas! Although christmas is over I want to show you the nail polish I wore while celebrating the past days with my family. I don't know about you, but before christmas eve arrives I am super busy. Decorating, gift wrapping, preparing food, visiting family and so on. Blogtime=zero. But enough talking: To celebrate the festive days properly I wore Thanks So Muchness! from OPI's Alice in Wonderland collection spring 2010. Its a medium red which leans towards a more berry color with subtle shimmer. The shimmer isn't very pronounced but it gives Thanks So Muchness! some dimension. To me Thanks So Muchness! is a typical christmas color, looks like christmas tree ornaments or candy cane aka typical christmas candy of my childhood.

Der OPI Nagellack der Woche: Love Is Hot and Coal

Grad noch rechtzeitig zum zweiten Advent kommt heute der Nagellack der Woche: Love Is Hot and Coal aus der aktuellen Gwen Stefani Holiday Kollektion  ist ein bräunliches Anthrazit (Branthrazit?) mit ultra feinem Silberschimmer. Super schöne, wenn auch sehr gedeckte Farbe. Zwei Schichten plus ordentlich Topcoat und der Schimmer bleibt trotzdem sehr versteckt. Wahnsinn wie bräunlich der Lack auf den Bildern wirkt, im echten Leben ist er viel gräulicher. Wirklich wahr.

Ich habe noch mehr Lacke aus der diesjährigen Weihnachtskollektion bestellt, aber der Versand aus den Staaten dauert noch etwas. Ich hoffe aber, dass ich pünktlich zum Fest mit richtig viel Glitzer auffahren kann. 

It's almost the end of the week, but you have to see what's on my nails: it's Love Is Hot and Coal from Opi's Gwen Stefani Holiday collection. Coal describes it best: it is a brownish charcoal color with super fine shimmer. I used two coats and a whole lot of top coat to really bring out the shimmer, but it's still barely visible. I have to mention that its much more grey-toned in real life than in the pictures. 

I ordered some more nail polishes from Gwen's collection but shipping to Germany will take some extra time. Let's hope my new shades will arrive just in time for Christmas.

Der OPI Nagellack der Woche: Pepe's Purple Passion

Da heute schon der erste Advent gefeiert wird und ich mich schon wie ein Schnitzel auf mein erstes Adventskalendertörchen freue, ist es an der Zeit die Holiday Kollektionen und all die hübschen Schimmerlacke aus der Versenkung zu holen und sich langsam auf das große Fest einzustimmen.

Den Anfang macht heute Pepe's Purple Passion aus der Muppets Holiday Kollektion 2011. Es ist ein dunkles Lila mit recht großen pinken Schimmerpartikeln. Ich wünschte der Schimmer würde etwas mehr zum Vorschein kommen, aber leider ist er sehr versteckt. Auch nach zwei Schichten Pepe's Purple Passion und zwei großzügigen Schichten Seche Vite Topcoat bleibt er fast unsichtbar. Aber noch ist es ja ein paar Tage hin bis Weihnachten und es bleibt genug Zeit die Glitzer- und Schimmerbomben auszupacken. 

Since Christmas is only four weeks away ( when exactly did this year happen? I have no idea what I did between January and October) I thought that it's time to dust off all the pretty glittery holiday nail polishes. I'd like to start with Pepe's Purple Passion from the Muppets Holiday collection 2011. It has a dark purple base with rather large pieces of pink shimmer/glitter. Unfortunately the shimmer is super hidden. I tried two coats of Pepe's Purple Passion and two generous coats of Seche Vite Topcoat but the shimmer prefers to be nearly invisible. It's a tragedy. But don't give up on me now fellow shimmer lovers, there are more shiny nail polish on their way.

Der OPI Nagellack der Woche: Haven't the Foggiest

Manchmal frage ich mich, ob ich ein warmer oder kalter Typ bin. Testen kann man das indem man sich ein silbernes und goldenes Blatt neben das Gesicht hält. Daran soll man erkennen, welche Farbe besser zur Haut- und Haarfarbe passt. Ich erkenne da leider gar nichts. Überhaupt nichts. Entweder bin ich ein Mischtyp oder ich kann die Zeichen nicht deuten. Deswegen trage ich auch gerne beides. Sowohl Gold als auch Silber. In dieser Woche ist Silber an der Reihe. Der perfekte Nagellack dafür ist Haven't the Foggiest aus der San Francisco Kollektion vom letzten Herbst. Silbriger Schimmer so weit das Auge reicht. Auch mit Topcoat schimmert er zwar wie verrückt, ist aber irgendwie auch matt. Schwer zu erklären. Steht Haven't the Foggiest mir eigentlich? Kann ich leider nicht sagen. Auch nicht, wenn ich mir die Pranken ins Gesicht halte.

Do you know whether you have warm or cold undertones? I once read that you have to hold a silver and golden paper next to your face to figure out what looks good on you. I did it and still don't know if my skin leans more towards warm or cold. That's why I like to wear gold and silver and can hardly decide which one I prefer. This week I'm more into silver. I chose Haven't the Foggiest from Opi's San Francisco fall 2013 collection to complement my current mood. It's a silver foil that looks slightly matte. Even with top coat. I like Haven't the Foggiest. But I don't know if it likes me. You know maybe I'm more into gold after all.

Der OPI Nagellack der Woche: German-icure by Opi

Der Nagellack der Woche ist ein Prachtstück. German-icure by Opi aus der Germany Kollektion aus dem Herbst 2012 gehört zu meinen liebsten Lacken in der Sammlung. Er hat eine schwarze Base und ist durchzogen von feinstem, dunkelrotem Schimmer. Soo unfassbar schön. German-icure by Opi ist herbstlich, festlich und weihnachtlich. Ich wurde in dieser Woche schon unzählige Male darauf angesprochen. Zurecht wie ich finde. Unter der glänzenden Decke aus Topcoat wirkt der Lack fast wie ein glasierter Apfel oder wie eine Christbaumkugel. Leider sind die Fotos nicht unbedingt perfekt, aber im Moment ist graues Licht alles was ich hier zu sehen bekomme.

This week's nail polish is a favorite in my stash. It's just breathtaking. German-icury by Opi from Opi's Germany collection 2012 has a black base and tons of burgundy shimmer. It's so fall appropriate and festive and reminds me of a glazed apple you see on the christmas markets here in Germany. It looks as if the shimmer is locked in under a heavy coat of shiny top coat. I received a lot of compliments this week. People seem to like shimmery, vampy colors like German-icure by Opi. I wish the pictures could show you how beautiful this shade really is, but the sun goes down so early right now and the daylight is just grey...

Der OPI Nagellack der Woche: A Woman's Prague-Ative

Gerade noch rechtzeitig zu Halloween (und nicht erst zum Wochenende) kommt  hier der Nagellack der Woche: A Woman's Prague-Ative aus der Euro Centrale Kollektion aus dem Frühjahr 2013, ist ein schimmerndes Orange mit Tendenz zu Rostrot das mit kleinen Goldpartikeln durchzogen ist. Und der Lack wurde natürlich absichtlich ausgewählt, weil er aussieht wie ein Kürbis. Eigentlich fast schon wie ein Kürbis mit Lichtlein, aber ohne fiese Fratze. In der Sonne schimmert A Woman's Prague-Ative wie eine eigene kleine Sonne. Dafür braucht es nur zwei Schichten des Nagellacks und etwas Topcoat. Wer jetzt noch ein Last Minute Kostüm braucht: A Woman's Prague-Ative aufpinseln, Tshirt in Orange anziehen, vielleicht noch ein grünes Hütchen aufsetzen und schon ist man ein Kürbis. Ein wenig Lippenfarbe in Orange kann natürlich auch nicht schaden. Aber bloß nicht das ganze Gesicht im Kürbiston einfärben oder diese schlimmen, glänzenden Kunstwimpern aufkleben. Schon mal gesehen wie das auf Fotos aussieht? Eben. Auch Kürbisse haben Klasse.

Just in time for Halloween I would like to show you my nail polish of the week and yes, it is Halloween themed. A Woman's Prague-Ative from OPI's spring 2013 Euro Centrale collection is a bright orange with golden shimmer. Reminds you of Jack O'Lanterns? Good. You should see it in the sunlight. The shimmer transforms into its own sun. Pictures don't do it justice. Below you see two coats plus top coat. In case you need a last minute Halloween costume: Apply A Woman's Prague-Ative to your nails, wear an orange colored shirt and a green hat and voila, you're a pumpkin. I suggest to add a nice orange lip stick to your costume, you know to make it fancy. And ditch the fake orange lashes. Seriously. I've seen this before. It takes you from classy to trashy.
