White nails: Yay or nay?

Seit einiger Zeit liebäugelte ich schon mit dem white nail-Trend. Den Nagellack dafür hatte ich schon ewig, aber so recht konnte ich mich nicht dazu überreden. Aber heute wurde es Zeit: Ich entschied mich gegen Opis Alpine Snow und für My Boyfriend Scales Walls aus der The Amazing Spider-Man Collection aus dem letzten Jahr. Letzteres hat einen ganz leichten Graueinstich und erschien mir tragbarer als Alpine Snow. Der Auftrag ist etwas schwierig, weil man schnell und relativ genau arbeiten muss um unschöne Streifen zu umgehen. Nach zwei Schichten plus Topcoat war das Werk dann vollbracht. Weiß passt ja eigentlich zu allem und trotzdem bin ich mir unsicher was meine Outfitwahl angeht. Heute Abend steht noch ein Konzert an und in meinem Schrank ist wie immer nichts...aber immerhin sind die Nägel schon lackiert :)


The white nail trend is something I have been thinking about for some time and today I finally decided to give it a try. I had to choose between Opi's Alpine Snow and My Boyfriend Scales Walls from The Amazing Spider-Man Collection that has been released last year and decided to go with My Boyfriend (HA!). It has some grey undertones which make it a little bit more wearable compared to Alpine Snow, a true white. Application is somewhat tricky, because the formula tends to be streaky. You need to work fast and be very precise with this one. Two coats and some topcoat and you're done with the masterpiece.
Although white can be worn with all colors, I have some difficulties finding the perfect outfit. Tonight there is a concert and I still have no clue what to wear (its always the same), but at least the most important part, my nails, are done :)
