Der OPI Nagellack der Woche: Meet Me On the Star Ferry

Die Farbe der Woche ist diesmal Meet Me On the Star Ferry aus der Hong Kong Kollektion aus dem Jahr 2010. Weil die Woche recht herbstlich startete, erschien mir dieses schimmernde Lila als äußerst passend. Meet Me On the Star Ferry ist leider ein wenig transparent und benötigt drei Schichten für volle Deckkraft. Das Ergebnis überzeugt allerdings: ein schicker, herbstlicher Pflaumenton (oder doch Mauve? Gibt es vielleicht einen Farbbezeichnungskurs?) durchzogen mit feinem Schimmer. Apropos Pflaume: Ich sollte mal wieder einen Zwetschgenkuchen backen. Passt hervorragend in die Saison. Meine Farbwahl ist also doch nicht soo weit hergeholt.

This week's choice of nail polish might appear a little too fall like for August. But since the last weekend and this week were nothing like summer, Meet Me On the Star Ferry from OPI's Hong Kong collection 2010 seemed just right. It is a medium plum (or would you call it mauve?) with fine shimmer. The formula is on the thinner side so that you will need three coats for full opacity. But don't worry, in the end you will love this shimmering plum. By the way, isn't it plum season right now? Means time for plum pie and yes, plum nail polish colors.

Der OPI Nagellack der Woche: A Good Man-Darin is Hard to Find

Neue Woche, neue Knallfarbe! In dieser Woche habe ich nach Suzi Says Feng Shui und Red My Fortune Cookie wieder zu einer Farbe aus der Hong Kong Kollektion aus dem Frühjahr 2010 gegriffen: A Good Man-Darin is Hard to Find ist ein knalliges Orange mit deutlichen Untertönen in Rot. Ich liebe OPIs Cremelacke, weil sie fabelhaft pigmentiert sind und in meinem Fall (trotz heißer Temperaturen) schnell trocknen. Mit einer Schicht habe ich mit A Good Man-Darin is Hard to Find schon eine gute Deckkraft erreicht, aber wie immer verlängern zwei Schichten und Topcoat die Haltbarkeit. Durch den Blitz wirkt die Farbe wirklich sehr rot, aber bitte nicht davon beirren lassen.


New week, new color! After Suzi Says Feng Shui and Red My Fortune Cookie I decided to wear A Good Man-Darin is Hard to Find from the Hong Kong Collection of 2010 on my nails.
It is a bright orange creme with some visible red undertones. I love OPI's cremes, because they are well pigmented and are fast drying (in my case, even if its hot outside). You can reach good opacity with one coat of A Good Man-darin is Hard to Find, but I recommend two coats and top coat to make it last longer. The picture taken with flash shows not only the red undertones, but makes the color appear really red.

Der OPI Nagellack der Woche: Red My Fortune Cookie

Ach dieser Name. Großartig, oder? Red My Fortune Cookie aus der Hong Kong Collection vom Frühjahr 2010 ist ein sattes, cremiges, knalliges Rot. Meiner Meinung nach ein must have-Rot. Je nach Lichteinfall hat es orange- oder himbeerfarbene Untertöne. Auch ohne Topcoat ist die Farbe glänzend und deckt schon nach einer Schicht. Ein perfektes Rot für maritime Sommerlooks in Blau, Weiß und Gold.

Oh that name. Soo great. Red My Fortune Cookie from the 2010 Hong Kong spring collection is a creamy, bright red. I think this one is really a must-have red. Depending on the lighting it has orange or pink undertones. It's super glossy even without top coat and formula wise it's a one-coater. Red My Fortune Cookie is perfect for summer looks.

Der OPI Nagellack der Woche: Suzi Says Feng Shui

Eigentlich kann ich mit Feng Shui nicht so viel anfangen, aber mit Suzi Says Feng Shui harmoniere ich ganz wunderbar. Dieses mittlere, knallige aber auch rauchige Blau aus der Hong Kong Kollektion aus dem Frühjahr 2010 ist ein Volltreffer. Passt zu vielen Outfits (besonders zu Jeans) und hat einen hübschen Hinguckereffekt.

Zwei Schichten und Topcoat machens perfekt. Das Ergebnis soll ja harmonisch werden. 

I have to admit that I'm not that much into Feng Shui, but there is definitely some harmony between Suzi Says Feng Shui and me. It's a medium, bright but smokey blue. Suzi Says Feng Shui is part of the Hong Kong collection that has been released in spring/summer 2010. 

I wear it with all kinds of outfits that include denim and it adds a nice pop of color to them. 

Two coats and topcoat are just fine for perfect harmony.
